Capítulo 6: Chapter 5: The Battle Center

(Prolog Act 2)

-----

[Reverse Summer Hill] [February 6th]

It has been five days since Tye has returned from his expedition to the nearby forest with a new teammate in tow.

After having Mimik U get used to his new name, Tye started training session on the high altitude hills.

Right now, they were running up hill with weight tied to them.

Pen was in the lead with the heaviest weight along with being ahead of the pack, Hatterz with the lowest weight and Mimik U in the middle.

Along side them was Tye with his own weight running beside them. With trackers attached to them to measure statistics to track improvements.

As they ran through the community of Reverse Summer Hill, they watch the gorgeous sights of the land below, the rolling green hills and the arches of beautiful tilled farm land.

The fresh air they intake into their bodies, the steep hill below their feet, houses lining the hillside as they pass them by, and the lush green plants on the edge of the hill that serves as guides.

Finishing up the final run, Mimik U and Hatterz were properly exhausted while Pen was still roaring to go.

Seeing this scene, Tye smiles to himself as he told Pen he could go some more, but come back before an hour.

-----(One of the rooms in the house)

Laying in the bed and relaxing as Tye scrolled through the newly updated information on the Ultra Sun Double Battle Tournament, he began making notes of several things.

'Preliminaries are February 16th, starting 7AM and ending 6AM on the 17th,'

Per quoted by a few comments and posts, the preliminaries are going to be pretty harsh this time around as per the sheer amount of people who signed up,

'I should get going to sign up them, they may change the date where they ensure registration if there is too many people entering.'

'Would I need four Pokemon for the preliminaries, if thats the case then I may need to catch a non-Fairy Type, Mimik U although has been through conditioning, hasn't been trained in Moves or techniques, I should get on that.'

Sinking deeper and deeper into his thoughts Tye contemplated his dire situation.

*Thud* "Vui!!"

Suddenly, Tye felt and heard a thud that connected with the bed frame, as the bed trembled from the hit, Tye heard cries of pain.

"Vui..."

Tye was confused, nothing in the house is supposed to make a sound like that, pushing his head over the edge he saw what's under the bed.

Although it was dark, he could still see pretty well, it was a Pokemon, with mainly brown fur coat, it looked like a mix of a fox, dog and a cat, it was inherently adorable.

Tye instantly knew what Pokemon it was, his eyes widened to an impossible size and his thoughts froze.

Pulling his head back and taking a deep breath, he looked back once again, and once again the sight didn't change.

It was an Eevee, one of the rarest Pokemon in the Sinidel Region, it may not be strong, but it's popularity enhanced its rarest by magnitudes as the government restricted the breeding of Eevee.

As Eevee looked at Tye and he looked in return, again with another surprise, Eevee shook itself violently and out of its fluffy coat, a button dropped out.

He found the button familiar but couldn't find somewhere to put it, analyzing the button closely and it's colors, he had an idea on where it was from.

Moving from the bed and going into the bag, and pulling out the shirt he wore a few days ago, the very shirt he wore on his expedition to the forest.

As Hatterz slept on his head and Pen walked by his side, he slowly chugged on through the forest, it has been roughly 3 hours since they began moving from the clearing.

Looking down on his shirt he felt a hint of frustration, this shirt was one of the few he could wear outside, get dirty and work in.

But looking at his shirt now, it was filled with holes from bushes and tree branches tearing chunks out of it, as well as several buttons popped off, he didn't know if the shirt was just poorly made or the journey through the forest was just too much for it.

If he had all the missing buttons then maybe he could sew back the shirt to wear again, but finding anything that small in a path of 3 hours of forest trekking was almost impossible.

At this point, he just gave up on the shirt.

___<Present Day>

Tye compared the button Eevee had to the other button on the shirt, other than a few scratches, it was a perfect match.

Setting down the shirt, Tye looked astonished at the Pokémon in front of him, the improbability of the situation made him stutter, "Yo-you followed me for so long?"

With a cheerful and happy expression, "Vui!"

Tye out reached his hand and stretched Eevee's head, "Thank you for the help Eevee."

As his hand rubbed over Eevee's little head his finger glided through its soft fur, his earlier anxieties erased from his mind.

Stopping his hand for a moment, he grabbed an empty pokeball from the bag and presented to Eevee.

Eevee looked at the pokeball infront of it and without hesitation tapped the button with its paw, suddenly the ball snapped open and a red beam enveloped Eevee and sucking it inside.

And for the second time this week, the pokeball didn't even bother to shake as it dinged, signifying that capture was successful.

Looking at the pokeball in his hand, he felt off, like the catch this time didn't make him feel any sort of achievement or success, like it wasn't special.

'Must have been because I didn't actually do anything, Eevee here just came up to me, but why, I know it found my button and followed me to return it, but why?'

'That was five days ago, if it was following me then it must have waited, was it watching us this whole time, then how come Hatterz didn't sense.'

As the odd situation set into Tye, his mind raced with question after question, but eventually he chose the ignore the oddities and roll with it.

"As the saying goes, not to look a gift Rapidash in the mouth."

After this whole event, he wasn't in the mood to be lazy on the bed anymore.

----(Outside the house)

In a small space on the right side of the house, Tye and his team were seen in a circle.

"Alright everyone, I'd like you all to meet your new teammate,"

He took out Eevee's pokeball as Hatterz and Pen looked confused and surprised, while Tye couldn't get a read on Mimik U.

"I haven't picked a name yet, so going to have to refer to him by his species name for now."

He released the pokeball as Eevee materialized into the space in the center of them.

"Vui!"

Pen's eyes widened by large margins, while Hatterz didn't seems surprised in the slightest, while Mimik U got to from his slouching position to straight standing up.

"■□■□□□□■!"

Tye noticed the particular reaction of Hattarz while he concluded that Mimik U recognized Eevee, as they lived in the same forest.

'So Hatterz did know, maybe if I did know then I may have acted in a way that would drive Eevee away,'

Mimik U moved up to Eevee, forgetting the personal space exist, but Eevee didn't mind, as Mimik U didn't have a way of hurting it.

After a few seconds, Mimik U moved back into the shade and slouched back down.

As the 3 of them got familiar with Eevee and visa versa, Tamlin walked out into the area and called for Tye.

"Tye, I have some news for you." She said as she sat down on one of the nearby objects.

"What is it?" "There is a new building for young trainers like you down the road, if you'd like to go there today then go now before it's closed, and no I don't know what's it's about."

And without Tye getting another word in, Tamlin already left.

------

In between two small hills, there was a large building with red and white coloring, along with the roof being designed similar to a Pokeball.

Walking in and out where dozens of young people, all looking abit similar but different in their own ways.

Walking through the double doors of the building, Tye came to see a front desk, along with several battles fields with people crowding around them.

Walking up to the front desk, he introduced himself to the receptionist.

"Good Afternoon, I'd like to register for a battle."

With a nod, the receptionist replied while working on the computer in front of her,

"Good Afternoon, I would need some information,"

Showing a fork infront of him, it was a single page with basic questions.

His full name, age his experience as a trainer, tbe amount of pokemkn he has, his contact information and length of time for him being a trainer.

Handing back the form, the receptionist placed it on the scanner beside her, the computer then made a sound.

"Alright, Tye Milo, you are registered as a client, due to inexperience as a trainer, you only be able to battle in the beginner rank."

Tye nodded, "That is alright, I'll just like to have a battle with someone."

Typing on the keyboard, the receptionist logged him in the queue for battle.

"In approximately 45 minutes, you will face Trainer Iume Yan in battle field 4, you are free to watch currently happening battles in your wait."

"Thank you," Tye replied while walking away.

Inspecting the different fields in the battle center, he saw field 4, it was a standard battle field on a ground stage, it was currently not in use.

Walking over to another field that was surrounded by people.

On the field there was two people battling, one the right side the trainer is a tall dark man with short black hair, along with his Pokemon being the grass/fighting type, Breloom.

And on the left side of the field, it is a tall brown skinned man with medium length back hair and a lengthy beard, with his Pokemon being the normal type Lopunny.

As their battles raged on the two performed magnificent moves, graceful combat flowed like water as the two experienced pokemon battles each other.

Attack after attack, dodge after dodged, the time flew bye as the crowd settled into silence.

It was the final movement, Breloom tilted forward as multiple bullet seeds shoot forward, Lopunny jumped into the air it's knee glowed slightly, but without any action, Lopunny landed on the ground gracefully beside Breloom.

Moving so swiftly that the only one who could react was Breloom itself, Lopunny kicked to the side as Breloom ducked it, but before it could counter, Lopunny stopped it's leg in place and performed a back kick towards Breloom's legs, but just like before, it jumped.

Without any warning, Breloom performed a Mach punch, hitting without any difficulty, Lopunny flinched back, hurting from the quick type advantage hit.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, Breloom tangled Lopunny in a leech seed gradually restoring its stamina.

Tangled by the sprouting seeds, Lopunny struggled to move its limbs as it grew sluggish, and it's eyes grew droopy.

Attempting to step forward, it fell unto the ground unconscious, revealing that Lopunny was on its last legs.
