This time, Robin did not participate in the marching group.
Dak felt somewhat panicked without Robin's Flower-Flower Fruit abilities; they might struggle to handle the lively Pokémon, especially a certain dog.
Dak glanced down at his leg, his hand constantly holding onto Growlithe's ear, daring not to let go for even a moment.
When Dak led the team out of the Mystery Hatchery House's door, he was astonished by the scene before him.
It was still that commercial street.
However, both sides of the street were already lined with a well-trained team of Navy soldiers waiting for them.
The Navy Rear Admiral 'Momousagi' Gion led the team.
On either side were Navy Captains, the 25-year-old 'White Hunter' Smoker, and the 23-year-old 'Black Cage' Hina.
Behind them followed nearly a hundred Navy soldiers.
Such a reception configuration was indeed shocking, and Dak couldn't help but nod inwardly.
A hundred people could only be considered a squad in the Navy, or rather, a large patrol team.
But.
It's important to note that this is not some potentially dangerous place, but the absolutely safe Marineford, right at the gates of the Navy headquarters.
These hundred people were not here for the safety of the Pokémon but purely to show an attitude and give face to the Mystery Hatchery House.
Whether this action came from Sengoku or from Tsuru.
Dak could only say it was very successful.
He could see from the expressions of Bon Clay and Sceptile that they were very satisfied with this kind of Navy reception.
"Dak, the Navy must be seeking something from us."
Although Bon Clay was proud, he still steadied his mindset and whispered a reminder in Dak's ear.
Dak nodded; he had noticed it too.
He just didn't know what Sengoku or Tsuru wanted to get from the Mystery Hatchery House.
"Manager Dak, we've been waiting for a long time. The little ones seem very healthy."
Gion took two steps forward to greet Dak after seeing him.
The many Navy officers behind her looked curiously at the Pokémon behind Dak, with most of the gazes falling on Sceptile.
After all, what Sceptile did in Water 7 had spread across the seas.
Many were curious whether Sceptile was really as powerful as rumored.
And Dak was pondering how to let the Navy witness Sceptile's strength.
The Navy is different from the Whitebeard Pirates.
The latter is in a semi-laissez-faire state, without too many pursuits, and being at the pinnacle of the New World, they don't care much about strength.
But the Navy is different.
In this era of great pirates, the endless emergence of pirates has left the Navy overwhelmed. They wish for more power to join the Navy to uphold their justice, so they value strength very much.
"It's been a long time, Ms. Gion. Buneary seems to be living well; in another three to five days, it should be able to start training."
Dak responded with a smile, then crouched down to rub Buneary's ears.
The simplest way to judge a Buneary's development is to feel the muscle density on its ears.
Gion's Buneary's ears appeared soft and fluffy, but touching them revealed strong muscles.
Obviously, Buneary's daily routine and diet must be very strict and healthy. Gion or Tsuru must have gone to great lengths to have the Navy's chefs specially research food for Buneary.
"Hey, hey, did you hear that, Buneary?"
"Mimilu~"
Buneary stretched its ears and hopped around on the spot, looking quite happy.
Buneary's thought process is simple: Gion treats it well, so it also wants to quickly become strong and then help Gion.
At this time, the little ones behind Dak could no longer restrain themselves and began to disperse gradually.
Marineford is completely different in style from Sphinx, and the babies are always curious about new environments.
"Cough, cough, don't run around, we haven't arrived yet."
Dak quickly coughed twice to attract the babies' attention, then gestured with his fingers through the air.
The little ones obediently returned to their original spots, looking up at Dak attentively.
Such obedient and cute babies naturally made the watching Navy officers feel a lot more fond of them, starting to ponder in their hearts.
This was also a part of Sengoku and Tsuru's plan.
Today, those who came with Gion are very potential figures from the new generation of the Navy, letting these people get familiar with Pokémon early on, and it would be best if they could get acquainted with some Pokémon.
Gion laughed at this scene but couldn't quite empathize with Dak.
Because Buneary, this girl, is not quite like the girl Lucky Egg; Buneary is very well-behaved and obedient, like a seven or eight-year-old girl, and hasn't caused Gion any trouble.
"Come with me. Counselor Tsuru seems to have some matters to discuss with you."
Gion led the way, guiding Dak and the group towards the inside of the Navy base.
Upon entering the Navy base, Dak also saw the true face of the Navy.
Squads of new Navy recruits were undergoing special training, while those who had left the recruit camp followed their superiors onto warships heading to the sea.
Discipline was strict, orders were followed without question, and training was rigorous.
These were things not seen in the animation.
The Navy seemed better than Dak's impression, and he began considering the idea of selling more Pokémon to the Navy.
And these were precisely what Sengoku and Tsuru wanted Dak to see.
"It seems he's quite satisfied."
"Of course."
In the Marshal's office, at this moment, Sengoku and Tsuru stood by the window, watching Dak's expression on the square outside.
Before long.
Knock, knock, knock.
The door to the Marshal's office was knocked.
"Marshal, Mr. Dak has arrived."
"Please come in."
Dak walked into the office under the guidance of a messenger sailor.
As for the Pokémon, they had already started playing in the square, with Gion's team of Navy officers staying behind to help watch over the Pokémon to prevent them from getting lost.
Sceptile and Bon Clay also stayed behind to look around, curious about the Navy base.
Since it's not a place just anyone can visit, and they had the chance to openly observe, they definitely wanted to take a closer look, assuming anything they shouldn't see had already been hidden by Sengoku and his team.
"Oho."
When Dak walked into the Marshal's office, he slightly raised his eyebrows.
The lineup was more extravagant than he had imagined.
Navy Fleet Admiral, 'Buddha' Sengoku.
Navy Admiral, 'Aokiji' Kuzan.
Navy Admiral, 'Kizaru' Borsalino.
Navy Hero, 'Garp the Fist'.
Navy Vice Admiral, 'Tsuru the Great Tactician'.
Apart from Sakazuki and Zephyr, it could be said that the Navy's top brass were all gathered here.
Sengoku was really trying his best.
"Welcome to the Navy base, Dak."

"Let them in," Tsuru gestured, and the messenger Marine immediately went out.
In no more than two minutes, thirty people came in.
"Marshal Sengoku, these are?"
Dak's gaze shifted to the thirty individuals.
They didn't seem like combat Marines.
"These people are from our Navy's Logistics, Biology, and Research departments respectively. I hope to hire you to provide some Pokémon-related knowledge.
The Logistics Department is responsible for researching Pokémon attributes and characteristics.
The Biology Department takes care of raising young Pokémon and managing their physical and mental health.
The Research Department uses machinery to timely monitor Pokémon's physiological states and training processes," Sengoku stated his purpose directly.
"No problem," Dak agreed promptly, surprising everyone present.
They weren't aware of Dak's intentions and thought this was the result of Sengoku and Tsuru's arrangements.
This slight upturn of Sengoku and Tsuru's lips suggested they thought they had Dak figured out.
"So, when do we start?"
"Emmm, I've been planning to open a branch in the first half of the Grand Line recently. I'm still selecting a location. Once the branch is established, these people can go there."
Dak was straightforward with his plans.
The opening of a branch would undoubtedly attract all sorts of characters, including those looking for trouble.
However, if a group of Marines were stationed nearby, it would significantly reduce these troubles.
Sengoku understood Dak's thoughts, and Dak knew that Sengoku could guess his intentions. It was an open strategy.
"No problem, I'll send a Vice Admiral-led troop to station there," Sengoku nodded and agreed.
This wasn't a bad thing for the Navy because it effectively monopolized Pokémon's power, preventing pirates from accessing it.
As for civilians having Pokémon, they didn't care much; it was just uncertain what the World Government would think.
But for the Mystery Hatchery House and the Navy, it was a mutually beneficial situation, with no reason to refuse.
"I also want a Pokémon," Garp, who had been picking his nose on the side, spoke up, looking eagerly at Dak.
"You can't," Dak shook his head without a second thought.
Handing a Pokémon baby to Garp would be pure abuse.
"What?!,"
"Shut up, Garp!" Sengoku's face darkened. He hadn't called for this troublemaker; Garp had insisted on seeing Dak.
Garp seemed very interested in Pokémon.
Ever since Kuzan returned from the Hatchery House, Garp had been acting like this.
Thinking this, Sengoku glanced at Kuzan, who was pretending to be asleep with his head back.
Borsalino looked around, then showed a sly smile.
"I don't think you have the ability to raise a Pokémon safely."
Dak didn't care about Garp's status as a Navy hero and bluntly stated his reason for not selling Pokémon to him.
"Garp indeed doesn't," Tsuru shook her head.
"Tsuru-chan! How can you say that about me! I've raised two grandsons and my son grew up healthy."
"Right, your son was raised all wrong, and we've never even seen your grandsons alive; it's all your own claims," Sengoku didn't give Garp any face.
Though he wished for Garp to raise some Pokémon, he had to admit, Garp really wasn't reliable.
"Sengoku, you'll regret this!"
"Garp, I am the Fleet Admiral."
Bang! Garp stormed out.
"Sigh," Sengoku sighed.
"?" Dak was bewildered.
He almost thought he had traveled through time again.
"Marshal Sengoku, is there anything else?"
"It's like this, Buneary is about to leave its juvenile phase, right?"
"Yes, that's correct. Your Navy can start purchasing Pokémon eggs from us in large quantities."
Dak didn't beat around the bush with Sengoku.
"How many Pokémon eggs do you have?"
Sengoku's question made Dak's heart jump, indicating the Navy's significant appetite.
"As many as you need, but I won't sell you thousands or millions at a time."
Dak shook his head, cutting off Sengoku's speculation.
"How come?"
"You don't have the capability to take care of thousands or millions of Pokémon babies at once."
The Navy's understanding of Pokémon is close to zero; they can't comprehend how troublesome Pokémon babies can be.
Let alone the thirty people just mentioned, even thirty thousand wouldn't be enough to take care of thirty thousand Pokémon babies.
A single Growlithe baby could keep a dozen people busy, unless the Navy is willing to allocate strong individuals to watch over them, but is that possible?
Moreover, there's a crucial point.
"Moreover, I don't think every one of you in the Navy can become a qualified Trainer."
Dak's mind began to recall certain figures.
Stupid Navy members led by Sakazuki weren't suitable.
These people might choose to sacrifice Pokémon for justice, not wrong per se, just a difference in perspective.
There's a saying in Naruto that fits well: Those who cannot complete their mission are trash, but those who abandon their comrades are worse than trash.
Dak likes this saying, so he isn't optimistic about the hawk-eye Navy members.
He won't stop Pokémon from choosing these people, but he also won't actively sell Pokémon eggs to them.
These people only have the right to be chosen by Pokémon, not the right to choose Pokémon.
And then there are some cancers in the Navy that Dak cannot trust, those who absolutely should not have Pokémon.
For example, Axe-Hand Morgan, the rat who colluded with Arlong, and the future Green Bull, Ryokugyu.
"So, you mean, you choose which Navy members are qualified to get Pokémon?"
Sengoku guessed a bit of Dak's intention.
Tsuru also narrowed her eyes, letting an outsider involve in Navy affairs was impossible.
Borsalino glanced at Dak, pondering Dak's words.
And Kuzan, probably the clearest about Dak's thoughts, said nothing and continued to feign death.
"No, some people in your Navy can distribute Pokémon eggs, but who those people are, I'll choose."
Dak knew the Navy's bottom line, so he made a concession.
"Who do you want to be responsible for this? I need to hear it before deciding."
Sengoku was still cautious and didn't agree immediately.
"Currently, two people."
Dak smirked, glancing at Kuzan.
"Which two?"
Tsuru asked.
"One is Admiral Kuzan, and the other, 'Black Fist' Zephyr."
