"Nani?! Time travel? Such a thing is actually possible?"
"That's incredible!"
"So, when Senior Dak suddenly disappeared back then, he returned to this time?"
"Then, for Senior Dak, has it only been a few minutes since he last saw our masters?"
"Wow, I'm so curious! What was the ninja world like back then? I heard it was full of constant wars!"
Dak sat in the office building of Amegakure, flipping through a book about the history of the ninja world, while the voices of younger generations chattered around him nonstop.
At this moment, Dak truly felt the changes in the ninja world.
In the past, who among them could have sat down and discussed such topics so casually?
Now, they were like normal young people, their eyes filled with hope for life.
Only those like Orochimaru and Hiruko, who had experienced the pain of war, carried slightly darker gazes.
Dak held a book in his hands, reportedly compiled by Kakuzu.
"That guy is still moonlighting as a historian?"
Given Kakuzu's extraordinarily long lifespan, it made perfect sense for him to serve as the recorder of history.
As for Kakuzu's position as treasurer, it had been passed down to his disciple, Konan.
The leadership of Amegakure, now holding the title of Rain Shadow, had been handed to Hanzō's disciple, Yahiko.
Excerpts from the Ninja World Chronicles:
Year 21 of the Ninja World
The second founder of Akatsuki disappeared three months after his arrival. Only the first Akatsuki Shadow, Madara, knows his whereabouts. Izuna, Hanzō, and I can only speculate.
Year 22 of the Ninja World
The Second Kazekage, Shamon, personally visited Akatsuki, seeking an alliance, but was rejected by Vice Leader Izuna. Later that year, the Two-Tails and Four-Tails were captured and became part of Akatsuki.
Year 23 of the Ninja World
Madara, Izuna, Hanzō, and Fuen each brought a Tailed Beast to Sunagakure, Kumogakure, Iwagakure, and Kirigakure, asserting Akatsuki's dominance. They forcibly took the remaining Jinchūriki, leaving only the Nine-Tails, still sealed within Mito in Konoha.
Year 24 of the Ninja World
The Third Raikage, A, and Third Tsuchikage, Ōnoki, launched an attack on Amegakure and Akatsuki. The war lasted two days before both were captured and imprisoned. Their villages suffered over 3,000 casualties.
After the war, Kumogakure and Iwagakure were dismantled by Vice Leader Izuna, their populations dispersed across the ninja world.
By the year's end, the Five Great Ninja Villages were reduced to four: Konoha, Amegakure, Sunagakure, and Kirigakure. The title "Akatsuki Shadow" emerged.
Year 25 of the Ninja World
Madara and Akatsuki's senior members, along with all the Tailed Beasts, visited Konoha. Madara and Hiruzen negotiated for three minutes to establish a peaceful relationship.
Madara left with Mito, Orochimaru, Hiruko, Might Duy and his wife, Shisui, and the Senju siblings.
From this year onward, the ninja world was unified under Akatsuki. War disappeared, giving way to an era of law and order, though occasional conflicts still arose.
Year 30 of the Ninja World
Mito passed away, and the Nine-Tails rampaged in Amegakure before being pacified by Madara. It agreed to retire peacefully alongside the other Tailed Beasts.
Year 31 of the Ninja World
Shukaku and Kurama caused public disturbances, fought each other, and were imprisoned for a year.
That same year, Madara investigated a disturbance in the Ryūmyaku and disappeared for two years, leaving Izuna as acting Akatsuki Shadow.
Year 33 of the Ninja World
Amegakure initiated cultural exchange programs with other villages. Young talents like Kushina, Obito, and others traveled to learn from one another.
Year 40 of the Ninja World
Madara personally recruited more "geniuses" from around the world.
Year 45 of the Ninja World
Akatsuki's senior members co-developed the concept of "ninjutsu," though it wasn't widely implemented.
Year 50 of the Ninja World
The leaders of the four major ninja villages retired, succeeded by:
Third Kazekage, Tetsu
Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze
Second Rain Shadow, Yahiko
Fourth Mizukage, Yagura
Year 52 of the Ninja World
Izuna gave up his eyes, allowing Madara's Sharingan to evolve into the Eternal Mangekyō. Izuna replaced them with a pair of preserved three-tomoe Sharingan.
Year 53 of the Ninja World
Orochimaru and Hiruko co-developed the "Zetsu Cells," surpassing Hashirama Cells. By year's end, Madara used them to awaken the legendary Rinnegan.
Year 56 of the Ninja World
Madara brought back a white-haired, Byakugan-wielding boy from the moon.
Year 57 of the Ninja World
Fuen passed away. Shukaku mourned deeply, while Kurama consoled Shukaku throughout the night—only to mock it mercilessly the next day. Both were imprisoned for another year.
Year 59 of the Ninja World
All first-generation Akatsuki leaders retired.
The otherworldly Pokémon League emerged, with Madara and the others moving to Pokémon Island to retire.
Dak closed the book with a soft thud, a smile forming on his face.
Truthfully, he couldn't help but feel some unease before returning. There was always the fear that Madara and the others might have died.
Though resurrection was possible, he didn't want to see that outcome. Thankfully, they were all alive.
Kakuzu's detailed historical record saved him a great deal of time. Without it, he would've had to spend ages investigating the significant events of the past 38 years.
Still, many details remained unclear, such as whether Naruto, Hinata, and Sasuke were born. Since Madara hadn't died, Indra's chakra was still with him. Could Sasuke have been born without it?
For now, these mysteries would have to wait until Dak returned to Pokémon Island.
"Finished reading, Lord Dak? Could you enlighten us a bit?"
Orochimaru sat beside Dak, his eyes glinting with curiosity as he leaned unnervingly close, seemingly sniffing Dak's scent.
"What do you want to know?" Dak asked, sweeping his gaze over the group.
Some of them were older than Dak, yet they acted like children in his presence.
"Are you someone who lived through that era, or...?"
Orochimaru's eyes gleamed. As Akatsuki's chief scientist, he had heard things from Madara about the immense chakra of the Ryūmyaku, capable of time travel.
"What do you know about the First God of Pokémon Island?" Dak asked.
"Never heard of it." xN
The group shook their heads in unison.
"We've been too busy to learn about Pokémon Island. Right now, there's only one Pokémon Breeding House in Konoha," Hiruko explained.
Dak nodded. "In the Hall of Origin resides Dialga, the God of Time..."
Since Akatsuki was now the Pokémon League's branch in the ninja world, Dak shared the story of his journey back in time—reviving Izuna, restoring Madara's youth, and the events of those three months.
"Resurrection and immortality... It's real? I thought only Master's Earth Grudge Fear could achieve something like that," Hiruko marveled, his scientific mind racing.
"..."
Orochimaru, meanwhile, was stunned silent, his tongue flicking involuntarily before his eyes lit up with fervor. "Lord Dak, may I request some materials for research?"
"You're Akatsuki's leader now, right?" Dak asked.
"Yes, I was elected as the second Akatsuki Shadow by all members," Orochimaru replied, nodding respectfully.
After some thought, Dak replied, "As Akatsuki's leader, you can submit research requests to the League. If approved, you'll have access to materials."
"Understood. And now, your plans?"
"I'm returning to Pokémon Island to meet your masters and take care of some matters," Dak said, rising to leave.
Before departing, he waved a hand behind him.
"With the ninja world stabilized, it's time to expand our shops and Pokémon Centers. Help me scout suitable locations and recruit staff."

March 15, Alliance Year 2
On the night the first Pokémon Battle Tournament ended, Dak returned.
Rather than rushing to find Madara and the others immediately, he decided to take some time to gather his thoughts. Besides, the night was young, and there were a few matters he wanted to sort out first.
Among those matters was checking on the children from the ninja world.
The first stop on his list was Zephyr's place—he wanted to see if there were still traces of Naruto there.
This time, Dak chose not to teleport using his psychic powers, opting instead to stroll leisurely through the bustling streets.
He adjusted his hat, tucking his distinctive green hair into his shirt, hoping to avoid being recognized.
The city was alive with celebration—final festivities after the tournament, with the crowds likely partying until midnight or later.
"The Spirit King was so cool! I want to become a Ghost-type specialist too!"
"I didn't realize Ghost-types were this powerful."
"Luck played a part too, didn't it? Dark Elite Hannibal wasn't weak, and there's no way Brook could beat him otherwise."
"Luck is part of skill!"
The streets buzzed with conversations about the tournament. For Dak, these events were three months in the past, but the excitement felt fresh as ever.
Walking amidst the lively atmosphere, Dak found himself immersed in a rare moment of peace—a stark contrast to the darkness he faced in the ninja world.
His resolve to make Pokémon Island a true haven of peace felt even stronger now.
"Woof!"
A loud bark jolted him from his thoughts, and before he could react, a massive orange blur charged toward him, burying its head into his chest.
If Dak's powers weren't intact on Pokémon Island, the impact might have sent him flying, injuring bystanders in the process.
"Damn you, Growlithe—no, Arcanine!"
The giant fluffball pressing against him was none other than Zephyr's Arcanine.
This Pokémon was the only one daring enough to act so audaciously toward him—any other Pokémon would know better.
"Arf!"
The Arcanine licked Dak's face with its massive tongue before stepping back.
"I knew it! The moment I saw Arcanine bolt, I figured it must've caught the scent of the First Leader."
"True, only Leader Dak could get this kind of reaction out of Arcanine. After all, the rest of us are already here."
"Long time no see, First Leader!"
"Dak, out wandering so late? Don't you have a mountain of tasks waiting for you?"
Before Dak stood a group of eight or nine people, their cheerful greetings cutting through the lively streets.
"I can't take a break now and then? I just wrapped up something huge!" Dak retorted, playfully defending himself from Zephyr's teasing.
However, something about the scene made him pause.
One voice, strikingly familiar, caught his attention—particularly the words "long time no see, First Leader," which sounded almost identical to Zephyr's.
Quickly wiping the slobber from his face, Dak looked up—and froze in astonishment.
Zephyr was walking shoulder-to-shoulder with Jiraiya, both carrying bottles of Zephyr's favorite sherry.
On Jiraiya's shoulder perched a small blue toad.
Ahead of them were Minato and Kushina. Minato carried large bags in both hands, while Kushina held an assortment of snacks. Two Nidoran ran playfully by their feet.
Further ahead were Kakashi, Obito, and Rin, all grown up.
Obito's scarred face bore evidence of a severe injury, but his hand clasped Rin's, suggesting the injury had been sustained protecting her—winning her heart in the process.
In the ninja world, such wounds could likely be healed, and if not, Pokémon Island certainly had the means. Yet Obito seemed to have kept the scars intentionally, perhaps as a symbol of love.
Their Pokémon—Froakie, Chespin, and Fennekin—bounded beside them, each from the Kalos region's starter trio.
Trailing behind were Arcanine, Naruto, and a playful Vulpix.
"You're all... such a beautiful family," Dak murmured.
Though initially stunned, he quickly recovered. From Jiraiya's earlier comment, it seemed they had met him before. While he lacked memories of such events, Dak adjusted his tone.
History had changed, leaving gaps in his recollection, but what mattered most was the outcome.
Looking at Kakashi, Dak silently wondered about his father, Sakumo. From the boy's current demeanor, it seemed unlikely he had endured the tragedies of the original timeline.
"This is all thanks to you introducing us to Zephyr," Minato said warmly, his natural poise giving his words a diplomatic tone.
Dak pieced the puzzle together: somehow, during these past months, he had orchestrated this fortuitous meeting.
Now, Zephyr had become Minato and Kushina's sworn father, Naruto's god-grandfather, and Jiraiya's brother-in-arms.
"This is... perfect," Dak whispered, his voice thick with emotion.
The tragedies that once loomed over these lives had been averted.
"By the way, Dak, how's your preparation going? Madara and Sengoku are getting impatient."
Zephyr's sudden interjection broke Dak's reverie, his tone tinged with subtle amusement.
"Preparation? For what? Tesoro's wedding? Or the Grand Festival?" Dak asked, puzzled.
"No, for taking on students!"
Zephyr's words caught Dak off guard, and the former shook his head knowingly.
"As expected, you haven't given it a single thought," Zephyr sighed.
"Seriously, First Leader," Jiraiya added, "Madara seems really insistent this time. He even pulled in Sengoku and Akainu to back him up. If you don't take on students, you might have a hard time explaining yourself."
"Madara? Forcing me? No way!"
Dak knew Madara well enough to dismiss the idea. The man valued personal freedom, especially among friends.
Yet, something about the situation felt... off.
"Think it over," Zephyr said, clapping Dak's shoulder. "We'll leave you to it."
As Zephyr's group departed, Dak felt the weight of the moment settle.
He had no memories of this altered history, yet it was clear Madara would have answers.
Turning, he muttered, "Let's check on the Monkey family next."
Approaching Garp's home, Dak noticed smoke wafting from the rooftop, accompanied by lively voices.
"Looks like a party," he mused, catching the aroma of sizzling meat and cumin.
"Yo! Dak! Smelled the food, didn't ya?"
From the rooftop, Garp waved enthusiastically.
"If you're here about students, forget it! Those blockheads are as stubborn as ever."
"Nope, just here for the food."
Though his words were light, Dak's true intent was to observe.
Reaching the rooftop, Dak found the gathering packed. The Monkey family and Dadan's group had joined forces, the crowd leaving barely any room to stand.
Even Hiashi and Hizashi, along with their families, were there, laughing and dancing.
Despite their joyful demeanor, Dak noticed the Caged Bird Seal still marked Hizashi and Neji.
The Hyūga traditions hadn't changed, though it seemed the clan had grown more harmonious over time.
"How about taking my granddaughters as your students?" Garp suggested, pointing to Hinata and Hanabi.
"Not a chance."
Dak wasn't about to make hasty decisions, especially when the situation remained so unclear.
Taking a skewer of grilled meat, Dak looked up at the night sky, a smile forming on his face.
"Everything has gotten better," he murmured.
