Capítulo 300: Chapter 300

With Hanzo secured, the Akatsuki organization now had a steady talent pipeline within the Land of Rain.

Hanzo, with his influence, would promote the ideals of peace across the land, inspiring people who shared his vision to join the cause.

Those in Amegakure who desired peace and had potential would be sent to Akatsuki for training, creating a seamless flow between the village and the organization.

"You've got your next recruit in mind, don't you?" Madara looked at Dak, knowing he must have knowledge of potential recruits.

Dak grinned. "When I was setting up the Miracle Nursery on top of the world, I had one constant problem—money. I'm guessing neither of you are great with finances, but for the ambitious goals we have, we're going to need funds. I plan to recruit someone who knows how to make money, someone skilled in finance."

Madara scoffed, unimpressed. "How? Shinobi typically earn money by taking on missions."

Dak chuckled. "There are endless ways to make money. Shinobi techniques can be used in plenty of fields to earn a fortune. For example, Earth Release techniques, paired with grass-type Pokémon, could easily transform even the most barren lands into fertile oases."

Izuna, curious, asked, "How strong is this person? We can't have them being captured and exposing our plans."

"Decent. He once took a mission to assassinate Hashirama Senju, so he's stronger than the average Jonin. He can hold his own against the Kage level for a few minutes." Dak raised his hand, indicating something crucial. "His real advantage is a secret technique that grants him near-immortality."

Dak's target was none other than Kakuzu. With Kakuzu's financial savvy and longevity, he was the perfect candidate for Akatsuki's financial needs.

Madara asked, "Where do we find him?"

Dak shrugged. "No idea."

"What?" Madara raised an eyebrow. "I thought you knew so much?"

"This kind of detail wasn't exactly preserved in history—just like I don't know where Black Zetsu is hiding," Dak explained.

"Oh, right. There's still that creature from the future." Madara's eyes narrowed. "I won't rest until we find him."

"Patience. Zetsu won't abandon you. You're the closest he's come to achieving his goals in over a thousand years. He'll show up eventually, especially once he hears about your…youthful transformation," Dak reassured them.

"What about this financial recruit?" Madara asked. "If we don't know where he is, how do we even start?"

Dak grinned. "Finding Kakuzu should be simple enough. We'll issue a high-reward bounty at the underground exchange in the Land of Rain. If he's nearby, he'll show up."

Using the bounty system was a reliable way to lure Kakuzu, who was constantly seeking out high-paying jobs to fund his pursuits. If Kakuzu was still wandering the lands after leaving Takigakure, he wouldn't resist such a temptation.

"And what do we do while we wait?" Izuna asked, eager for action.

"We'll be working on two fronts. You'll both make a public appearance in the shinobi world, causing a little stir to draw Zetsu out," Dak suggested.

"Where should we start?" Madara asked.

"What about Konoha?" Izuna suggested, curious to see what had become of their clan.

Dak thought it over, nodding. "That would work. There's someone there who needs to be dealt with. You'll also have a chance to avenge yourselves."

They exchanged glances. This hadn't been part of the plan, but Dak's idea intrigued them. The recent end of the First Shinobi War had left the Great Nations in a weakened state, making them vulnerable. However, Dak was particularly focused on a certain individual in Konoha: Danzo.

Danzo, a rising figure in Konoha, was beginning to nurture a dangerous ambition. Though not yet in full power, he would soon gain influence and use ruthless methods to pursue his vision for Konoha's strength—methods that would one day lead to the fall of the Uchiha.

"Who?" asked Madara.

"Shimura Danzo."

Izuna shook his head, unfamiliar with the name. "Who?"

"A disciple of Tobirama, carrying on his ideals," Madara explained.

Izuna nodded, understanding. Tobirama had always viewed the Uchiha with suspicion, and it seemed his influence persisted in his students.

"If this guy was capable of wiping out our entire clan, he must have some skill," Madara mused. "So, why not recruit him?"

Dak smirked. "Would you step down and let him lead?"

Capítulo 301: Chapter 301

"Danzō, huh? Recruiting him would definitely bring more harm than good."

"He'll do anything to secure a position of power. While he refrains from scheming against Hiruzen, being his childhood friend, it would be a completely different story with anyone else."

"Even you, Madara, wouldn't be safe. He'd likely orchestrate some disaster and pin it on you, causing dissent among your subordinates to bring you down."

"And if he became the leader, he'd constantly be on guard against any powerful or popular subordinate who could threaten his position, eliminating them at the first sign of danger."

"Things like betraying allies for power would be the least of his sins."

Dak shared his impressions and views on Danzō with Madara and Izuna.

Indeed, Danzō did have some redeeming qualities. During Tobirama's era, he was a promising young talent, even considered better than Hiruzen Sarutobi in certain aspects.

But that was under the assumption that Tobirama would choose him as the next Hokage.

Ever since Hiruzen was appointed Third Hokage by Tobirama, Danzō's descent into darkness began.

His initial belief was that his failure to become Hokage was due to his lack of strength compared to Hiruzen.

This marked the beginning of his obsession with acquiring the power of the Senju's Wood Release and the Uchiha's Sharingan.

If not for the Hyūga clan's extreme measures to protect their Byakugan, he would have likely targeted them as well.

"We can't just kill Danzō and be done with it, can we?"

Madara, reveling in his regained strength, seemed eager for action.

"Danzō will die eventually," Dak replied with a sigh. "Before I leave this era, both he and Zetsu must be eliminated. Their existence will inevitably hinder your plans to unify the world."

He then laid out his future plans:

"My original intention was to gradually subdue the Tailed Beasts, as they serve as the bargaining chips for the Five Great Nations. Capturing them for the Akatsuki would not only prevent future wars but also establish the Akatsuki's unparalleled dominance."

"Tailed Beasts? Are those things really considered assets in a war?" Izuna tilted his head in confusion.

To him, Tailed Beasts were nothing more than oversized creatures easily subdued by the Mangekyō Sharingan. Both he and Madara could capture one each with their Susano'o.

"According to Dak, the shinobi of later generations are rather pathetic," Madara teased.

"I never said that," Dak retorted, brushing off the comment. "Since you two seem eager, why not practice on a few Tailed Beasts now?"

He scratched his head, pondering which Tailed Beasts were currently accessible.

"Sounds good. It'll be a decent warm-up."

"Although it hasn't been long for me, I still feel unfamiliar with this body," Izuna remarked, flexing his hands.

Satisfied with the idea, Dak listed the targets:

"There's Bunpuku in Sunagakure's prison—a Jinchūriki of the One-Tail, Shukaku. He's known for peacefully coexisting with his beast and wielding its power effectively."

"Then there's the Three-Tails, Isobu, residing in the central lake of Kirigakure. They haven't managed to seal it into a suitable Jinchūriki yet due to their poor sealing techniques."

"Lastly, the Seven-Tails, Chōmei, in Takigakure. They have yet to find a Jinchūriki for it."

"These three should be good practice. Try recruiting Bunpuku; a mature Jinchūriki like him is hard to come by, and I doubt he wants to rot in Sunagakure's prison. As for the other two, brute force will do. They won't listen unless you beat them into submission."

Madara and Izuna nodded in agreement. They were eager for a challenge that wasn't too weak but not beyond their capabilities.

"Where will we store these Tailed Beasts after capturing them?" Izuna asked.

Dak smiled. "Give them two choices: follow us willingly or be confined. Let's capture them first and decide later."

He added, "To assist with transportation, I'll send someone to support you."

"Your companion? A Pokémon?" Madara raised an eyebrow.

Dak nodded, pointing to his shadow.

From it emerged Darkrai, its white crest and glowing blue flames flickering ominously as it greeted the Uchiha brothers.

Izuna, startled, marveled at its sudden appearance. "Is this an entity born from Yin Release?"

"Darkrai is a mythical Pokémon known as the 'God of Nightmares' in other worlds," Dak explained. "Its true nature? I'm not sure—perhaps it originates from human nightmares themselves."

"And its strength?"

"Strong enough to challenge figures like the Sage of Six Paths or the Rabbit Goddess."

Izuna looked at Darkrai with renewed respect.

"Let's head to Takigakure first. I'll handle the Seven-Tails," Izuna declared confidently.

Madara smirked. "Do as you please."

As the brothers prepared to leave, Dak instructed, "Darkrai will assist you in storing the beasts in its dark void. It will also monitor your surroundings and capture Zetsu if he appears."

"Got it," Madara replied, already eager to act.

With that, the brothers departed, their Pokémon eggs in hand, as Dak watched with anticipation for the chaos they would soon unleash.

Once they were out of sight, Dak turned toward Amegakure's underground exchange point, planning to lay low and experience the world while waiting for Kakuzu and devising his next target.
