[Adrian's POV]

"What did you get yourself into this time?"

Adrian scrunched his face in pain as Bianca dabbed antiseptic cream to the welts on his arms and body. He chose to stop by at NeonMIX Nightclub instead of going back to Johan's apartment. Their house was not an option. With his fair complexion, the angry red streaks that made him looked like he went on a penitency procession would drive his mother livid.

"First, it was Raymond getting beat up by some guy related to Johan," Bianca continued. "Now, it's you. Shouldn't we report this to the police? I'm sure your brother can help."

"No. No, it's fine. We were just... you know, practicing martial arts and stuff."

"Since when did you become interested in martial arts and stuff?" Nick asked from across the table. "Last time I checked, you're into basketball. Not Eskrima or Arnis or whatever you wanted to call it."

"Is it wrong to learn self-defense?"
