Taking the fruit in his hand, Jack couldn't help but marvel at its power. It hummed in his grasp, a tangible vibration that seemed to resonate with his own heartbeat. Tiny arcs of electricity danced around it, creating a mini spectacle of a lightning storm. He could almost feel the power emanating from it, like a pulsating wave of energy that coursed through his veins, filling him with a sense of exhilaration and triumph.
Safely tucking the fruit away, Jack left the cavern, navigating his way back through the tunnel. The golden clouds of Birka greeted him once more, their brilliance now serving as a symbolic reminder of his accomplishment. He stepped into the bead's pocket space, leaving behind the dazzling sea of gold for the comfort of his own secluded island.
He found his family waiting in the living room. The space fell silent as he stepped in, all eyes turning towards him. Aria was nestled in Amelia's lap, Robin at Olvia's side, their innocent eyes wide with anticipation. The others, Liana, Luna, Sophie, Isabella, Titi, and Ponis, sat around them, their expressions mirroring the same eagerness.
His entrance was silent, his eyes calm and unreadable. With a grace that contrasted his imposing figure, he moved towards the table at the center of the room and placed the fruit upon it. The room was quiet for a moment, everyone staring at the object in wonder.
"It's beautiful," Sophie whispered, breaking the silence. Her eyes reflected the lightning that danced across the fruit's surface, her expression filled with awe.
The others seemed to snap out of their trance at her words. Titi leaned forward, her adventurous spirit clearly piqued. "I've never seen anything like it. The power it must hold... it's unimaginable."
Even Isabella, always so collected, couldn't hide her fascination. "The fruit of a God," she mused, her gaze fixed on the lightning arcs.
Liana, Luna, and Ponis shared quiet, amazed glances. The reality of the situation had them momentarily speechless, the gravity of their achievement sinking in.
Robin, still nestled in Olvia's lap, parroted excitedly, "God!" Her small hands clapping in delight. The innocence of her response prompted a round of gentle laughter, easing the tension in the room.
Aria watched the scene with wide, curious eyes. The shimmering fruit captured her attention, the flickers of electricity reflecting in her gaze. She looked up at Jack, her father, her eyes full of unspoken questions and wonder. "Daddy," she started, her voice soft yet clear. "Is that...God's fruit?"
Jack nodded, leaning down to be at her eye level. "Yes, princess. It's called the Rumble Rumble Fruit. It's a very special fruit that has the power to control lightning and thunder."
The room fell silent again, the weight of his words sinking in. They were all aware of the significance of this discovery, the sheer magnitude of the power that now lay within their grasp.
Titi finally broke the silence. "So, what now, Jack?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
Jack's gaze traced the silhouette of the Rumble Rumble Fruit on the table, the tiny arcs of electricity dancing over its surface giving it an almost ethereal glow. He reached forward, the gentle touch of his fingers against the fruit sending a ripple of power coursing through him. The room fell silent once again, the air thick with anticipation.
"Now," he began, his voice echoing in the hushed space. He picked up the fruit, holding it delicately in his hands as if it were the most precious artifact in the world. His cerulean eyes flickered up to meet the gazes of the women around him, a calm serenity radiating from his gaze. "I will give it to Haredas as promised."
His announcement hung in the air like a palpable entity. None of them seemed surprised by his decision, but the enormity of what he was giving away was not lost on them. They knew Jack, knew how much he valued his promises, but they hadn't fully expected him to follow through when the stakes were this high.
"But Jack..." Ponis began, her voice a hesitant whisper. She bit her lower lip, her gaze faltering under his firm look.
Jack shook his head, cutting her off before she could voice her concern. "Although he wasn't believing I could do it, Haredas shared his notes with me. Without them, it would be impossible to find the fruit." He paused, his gaze softening. "I will not betray his trust, nor my promise."
The room fell silent again, the weight of his words settling over them. Jack's unwavering commitment to his word, his sense of honor, it was something that they all deeply respected. But this, giving away a fruit so powerful, it still took a moment for the reality to sink in.
Sophie finally broke the silence, her voice steady as she nodded, "Jack, you're a man of your word. We knew that. But this..." She gestured towards the fruit, her eyes glinting with unspoken questions.
He met her gaze, his expression steady. "It's a matter of honor," he responded simply, his voice carrying a firm resolve that left no room for argument.
Amelia looked at him, her eyes softened with understanding. She reached out, squeezing his hand reassuringly, a silent acknowledgement of his decision. "You're doing the right thing, Jack," she said, her voice just a breath above a whisper.
Isabella offered a nod of agreement, adding, "Your integrity has always been one of your defining strengths, Jack. It's what sets you apart."
Titi let out a low whistle, a smirk playing on her lips as she leaned back in her chair. "Never thought I'd see the day when a person would turn down such power," she teased, her eyes glinting with amusement.
Jack smirked, "A man, if cannot protect his loved ones, is not a man. In a world with such a high ratio of water, eating a devil fruit is a liability. I will not do such a thing."
