Capítulo 84: 83. In His Arms
Mu Chen slowly detached himself from her lips and stared back at her face carefully. She could clearly see the concern, the fear, and most importantly the lust in his eyes when he looked back at her. RuQian, for some reason felt elated to see both concern and lust in his eyes, neither of which she had seen in her previous life when she met him again. She had a doubt he felt something when they met earlier but she wasn't able to verify her thoughts, now though the lust was clear in his eyes.
"You okay?" His smooth and concerned voice penetrated her line of thought.
She wanted to reply but her dizziness returned with full force. The kiss took up 3 to 4 seconds max but it had felt like an eternity to RuQian. She wanted to stop herself from falling asleep but she knew she was safe now, she trusted him to keep her safe.
She nodded her head very slowly and stared at him. Mu Chen didn't know what to say but then he remembered his older brother's words, "I am sorry about earlier kitten, it was not my intention to not wish you but I just forgot about it with everything we were talking about. I know it's my fault but I really did not mean to hurt you in any way. Will you forgive me?" He asked with a concerned voice.
RuQian couldn't really see properly but her brain had not completely shut down so she was able to understand what he was trying to say though the words were processed slowly. "You still haven't wished me Chen." She smiled slightly at his cute behaviour.
" Oh right, sorry, no wait, that's not what I'm supposed to say." RuQian laughed loudly finding him funny. "Happy Birthday kitten." He whispered into her ear in a husky voice.
She shuddered slightly at the warm breath and the slight touch of his lips on her ear. It took her a while to process his words, then she looked up at his handsome face blinking many times to clear her head, "Where's my gift?" She asked seriously.
"Hm.." He wrapped his arm around her waist tightly to make sure she wouldn't fall, reached his other hand into his suit jacket and picked out a small box and opened it for her to see a platinum necklace with a flower pendant. The flower was adorned with small amethyst stones in the shape of petals and a little bigger black stone in the centre. It looked so pretty but RuQian could not appreciate it. She could tell he bought her a necklace but she couldn't make out the design.
She lifted her head to the ceiling gesturing him to put it on her. Mu Chen's eyes darkened when he saw her pale neck. He had the sudden urge to bite her soft neck. He shook his head quickly and put on the necklace for her. He smiled seeing her wearing something he had especially made. He pulled her head down. She liked his warm hands on her face.
She edged closer to him looking for the warmth, wrapped her arms around his neck and buried her nose in his shoulder. A woody scent assaulted her senses and something more, he smelled so good like the best perfume she had ever smelled. She rubbed her nose deeper into his neck wanting to find out what that smell was but couldn't make out what it was with her muddled brain.
"You stayed?" She asked nuzzling into his fragrant neck. Was this the smell of pheromones? It smelled divine, she wasn't able to distinguish what the smell was but it was awesome. She wanted more, so she started rubbing herself on him wanting to get closer to his hard body. It felt so good to rub herself.
He held her waist tightly stopping her, "Hm.. You were mad at me and also.." He hesitated for a while before adding, "You will be leaving soon." The rest was unsaid but she understood that he wanted to see her because she would be leaving for abroad.
She lifted her head to look into his beautiful grey eyes with her glazed ones. She just gazed at him trying to memorize his features even when everything else felt blurry to her muddled mind. "I'll take care of myself, I promise. And I won't be alone so.." She sighed loudly, "Don't worry, okay?" She suddenly remembered breaking that rat bastard's legs, "Chen, I.."
Mu Chen waited for her to finish but she was taking a long time to continue. "What's wrong?"
It was better to tell him, RuQian wanted Chang Min to pay for hurting her so many times, so she told him after debating about it for a while. "That rat bastard tried to force me to go somewhere, I left him in some corridor after beating him up." She murmured quietly with a pout.
Mu Chen's eyes contracted when he heard her. He took out his phone and sent a message to someone and looked back up at her. He stared at her soft wet lips wanting to kiss her again. He mentally shook his head, "You are learning martial arts but you are far behind." He understood that she knew him and had relaxed in his arms knowing who he was. "You need to learn faster. Okay?" She had to learn quickly to keep herself safe. He really wanted to ask her how she remembered him but held himself back. If he brought up the topic she would have a lot more questions he didn't want to answer.
"I know I am far behind you but I will catch up. Just because you had a head start and were able to learn from HIM, don't think I can't take you down." She tried to stand on her own pushing away from him to show off her prowess but failed miserably as her legs wobbled and she fell into his arms again.
Her lips pressed against his neck by accident. She finally remembered what the woody scent was, it was the heady scent of smoky cedarwood, warm cloves, and dark amber and his unique pheromones. When she smelled his scent, her body started reacting again. RuQian leaned deeper into his embrace and started nibbling on the side of his neck. She could feel his breath quicken on her neck, his chest heaving against her chest. She bit his neck hard wanting to taste more of him, he groaned and she felt him stirring near her leg making her want to explore more of his hard body.
But her eyes drooped slowly and she realized she was falling asleep, so she wanted to clarify her weird behaviour towards him, "Drug." She muttered loud enough for him to understand and slumped into his arms.
Her world turned black as she heard the deep voice calling her, "Ai Ru."
