Capítulo 37: 37. Personal Lawyer

Only rich heirs had personal lawyers and here this woman wanted him to be her personal lawyer? Was this some kind of joke? Was he being pranked by someone? RuQian did not even bother to see his expression and continued.

"Right now, you would not have a lot of work. You just need to be present when I negotiate a contract. You will not have to say anything but I will need your services later." RuQian said frankly. Right now she was just starting her career but later her hands would be full.

She had to start with her business too. RuQian's next item on her checklist was to have a talk with Lan Xie, seeing as Lan Xie would be the designer.

Bai Xing's mind was blown. He did not know what to say, so he just nodded his head. He had not been able to find work for a while now and they had no money. It was difficult for him to even find the bus fare to come to the park that day. This was why he brought his daughter as he would not usually come here.

He wanted to give his daughter the best life possible but he could not afford the life he wanted to give her. His daughter's dream was to be a princess but he could not even buy her a dress that was princess-like.

"As long as I do not have to cover up illegal activities, I am ready to work for you." Bai Xing knew many people would do anything for money but he could not sell his morals for anything.

"I don't need you to work for me." Bai Xing's face fell when he heard RuQian's words. He had received clients before who wanted him to cover their illegal dealings, he had turned them down, this woman must be another one. When Bai Xing was about to turn down RuQian, she turned her head towards him, her clear eyes met his dull ones. "I need you to work with me!" RuQian finished.

Bai Xing was stunned for a second but then smiled slightly after he heard her. She was giving him respect by saying that, even he knew he would be working for her but the way she put it showed, she respected him. He did not know why this woman trusted in him but he did not want to let her down.

"Since you do not know me, I should first tell you about myself, then you will understand what your work would entail." RuQian started. "I am a fifteen year old high school student. My dream is to become an actress. I have decided to start by modelling, I am going to be modelling for a company. The contract I mentioned before is that of the modelling contract.

Later I will need you take care of any legal matters I assign you. This is your contract, you can read it through and sign it if there are no problems with it." RuQian handed him the folder with the contract. "If you have any other terms you want to add you can tell me, if they are within my limits they will be fulfilled."

RuQian said all this with an authority that overwhelmed Bai Xing. He heard her say she was fifteen years old, how was that possible when she was speaking with this much confidence, authority and maturity. No one would believe her to be a teenager.

Bai Xing opened the folder, anticipating a handwritten paper but he was so wrong. The printed contract was professional and to the point. He read through the five pages carefully, after he was done though he was not able to find his voice. His brain had turned to mush, 'Where am I? Who am I? What is this?' These were his thoughts at that moment.

The benefits he would receive were divided into points. The first point in the benefit list was, his mother would be shifted to Life Safe Hospital, the best hospital chain in the country and all her medical facilities would be paid for. Any medical requirement he, his wife, his daughter or his mother had in the future would be paid by RuQian.

The second point was, he would be given a fully furnished office in the lawyer's complex, a top complex where all top lawyers had offices.

The third point was, he would be given an apartment in Golden Luxury Condominiums, a chain of apartments owned by the Mu Conglomerate, known as the best where a rich person could stay.

The fourth benefit, his daughter's higher education would be paid for in full, whichever field she chose, provided her scores would always stay in the above average.

The final benefit was his salary itself. Even if he would not work daily, he would be given his salary, a six figure salary!

In return he would have to take up all the cases RuQian wanted him to. This meant placing immense trust in her but for the terms RuQian had offered, he would have easily accepted. The only thing he was curious about was why she had trusted him. He was a nobody!

Before he could voice his question RuQian stood up, "It's getting late, you can finish reading the rest in the car. Let's go." RuQian started walking out of the park towards her car. She felt very sleepy, she wanted to go lie down in her bed and take a peaceful nap, well not very peaceful with her nightmares, but still.

Bai Xing was about to dazedly follow her, when he noticed he had forgotten his daughter, he called his daughter, lifted her and followed RuQian. He became aware of the fact that if he decided on signing this contract, his life would change.
