Capítulo 48: I will be your new coach 2/2

[ Christina pov ]

The door of the cabin suddenly flew open and in came a satyr.

"< Talk about a dramatic entrance huh. >" said Thalia next to me, also looking in the direction of the small goat-man who was dragging a bat for some reason.

"Gleeson!" exclaimed Cassius, quickly standing up and going in the star's direction. "Be careful! You could get hurt if you open the door like that and enter so wildly! We have trap- I mean, research materials all around!"

"Bahh, spare me the nonsense brat!" exclaimed the small, angry looking goat-man while waving his hand. "Now, I came here to pick up a brat, so? Where is she?"

Silence filled the cabin, which usually was extremely noisy, and everyone stared at the satyr with a confused expression... well, everyone except Thalia.

"< Hahahaha, oh by our asshole parent! This dude is hilarious! >" she exclaimed in an amused tone. "< Did you see that Chris? From now on, you will be entering that way all the places! Everyone will totally be impressed! >"

"That doesn't make much sense." I replied Thalia, staring at her with a confused expression.

"What did you say brat?" asked the angry satyr, looking at me for some reason.

I turned in his direction and looked at him with a confused face for a moment before realisation dawned on me. "Oh I wasn't talking to you." I said in my usual tone.

A vein popped on her forehead and he quickly jumped closer to me, moving his bat upwards and resting it on his shoulder.

"< Mhmm, he looks menacing... >" said Thalia between giggles, moving around the satyr.

"You are apparently the only brat here that still has a tongue huh." he said. "Well then, tell me where is Christina!"

"I am Christina." I said before looking at Thalia, who was nodding at me.

"I see..." muttered the satyr while inspecting me. "Well then, let's go!"

Turning around, he began to leave, however he was interrupted by Luke.

"Excuse me but where are you planning on taking us?" he asked.

"Us?" asked Gleeson. "You are not going anywhere, blonde brat. I am only taking her."

"And where exactly are you taking her." replied Luke. "Because we go togeth-"

"Spare me the talk brat!" said the satyr, dismissing Luke's words. "Chiron told me to make a warrior out of her, so that's what I will do. There was no mention of a blonde brat wanting to tag along."

"But that's not what I asked Chiron." said Luke, making my eyes widen for a second as I stared at his back. "He said he would take care of Christina, not leave a satyr in charge of her training."

'He...' I thought as I continued to hear them argue. 'He wants someone else to take care of me? He wants me to be with someone else? But why? We are family...'

I was about to speak, however Thalia came close to me and wrapped her arms around my neck. "< See? I told you so... >" she whispered in a low tone. "< I am the only one you can trust... only I will never leave you... >"

For the first time in weeks, my facial expression changed into something other than fear, this time I was angry.

"He is not leaving me." I said in a low yet serious tone, looking at Thalia.

Luke continue to argue with Gleeson, and my words got lost within the satyr's loud screams.

"< Ahh, but he already left me behind. >" said Thalia, shaking her head with a sad expression. "< I just don't want that to happen to you, even if he already is doing it... >"

Coming closer, Thalia placed her hands on my cheeks and brought her face closer to mine, pressing our foreheads together. "< I care about Chris... I am the only one who does, so don't get angry okey? >"

Closing my eyes, I felt the warmth of Thalia's hands on my face as I calmed down. "I'm sorry..." I muttered in a low tone. "I just don't want you to be mad at him..."

"< Oh, it's fine Chris... >" said Thalia, hugging me tightly. "< All I need now is you, so don't worry about anything else, alright? >"

"Fine." I replied while nodding my head.

"Perfect!" screamed the satyr, pulling me out of my conversation with Thalia and back to the ongoing discussion in the room. "Let's get going then!"

"Huh?" I muttered confused as the satyr pulled me along, grabbing me by my new metal arm.

"You just agreed to become my disciple, cupcake." he said proudly.

"Wha-" I tried to ask, confused about what just happened.

"Now now, we first need to go to the training grounds so you can get started on your 'beating-up-people-with-bats' training, so no questions." he explained as we continued to walk through the cabin.

"< Hmm, seems like he misunderstood the yes you said to me with you agreeing to become his disciple... >" said Thalia, rubbing her chin while walking next to us.

"What should I do?" I asked her, still confused by the situation.

"Great spirit!" replied the satyr excitedly. "I did say that you shouldn't ask questions, but that was a good one!"

I looked away form Thalia and focused on the satyr.

"I wasn't talk-" I tried to explain, however he interrupted me and continued rambling.

"You will first need to get a bat for yourself, though I want to see your technique... hmm, alright, getting a bat for yourself will be your homework, first you will fight the brats of the Ares cabin!" explained the small goat-man, however his words only confused me more.

"< Pfft, hahahahaha! >" laughed Thalia as she looked at me amused. " <Well, learning how to beat people up with a bat isn't a bad plan! >"

"Right..." I muttered, looking at the satyr once again. "You said I would learn how to beat people up... isn't that bad?"

"Bah! People, monsters... they are all the same! Victims under our amazing power and bats!" he said, waving his hand while dismissing my words.

My attention divided between the satyr's nonsense and Thalia's laughter, to the point I forgot to look back and see Luke.
