Barry awakes from his coma, looking around. Checking his data on a computer was Felicia with a robotic right arm.
"How long have I been asleep?" Barry asked, holding his throbbing head.
"About a day." Felicia said, turning to him. "Brought you to Star labs after your battle with Carnage."
Barry flinched at the mention of Carnage's name, remembering the death of Cisco, Caitlin, and Killer Frost. Covering his eyes, he forced himself not to cry.
Felicia noticed this, giving a small smile, before asking, "How do you feel?"
Noticing how she was trying to change the topic, Barry checked his body state. Noticing nothing was wrong, he sat up before getting off the bed and standing. Shock and confusion filled his mind as he remembered his spinal cord and legs being crushed by Carnage. All his broken bones and ripped skin were fixed as nothing happened. If he didn't have the memory of the incident, he would have never guessed he went to fo fight a monster.
"Isn't it great? This was a drug I was working on in National City. It accelerates your healing factor. As long as the limb is not severe, it will heal. Though if I had more time, I would have made it better." Felicia said, holding up a syringe with black liquid. "Don't mind the way it looks."
Suddenly, Barry zoomed away with orange lightning, Felicia's hair fluttering due to it. Arranging it, Barry came back just to mess it up again.
"This is amazing. How could you create such a drug?" Barry asked, amazed as to how he is already in his top condition.
"It worked so well because of your speed healing. If I took it, it will still take me weeks to regenerate from the injuries you sustained." Felicia said, fixing her hair and going on her phone, and texting someone. "Just called Iris, she will be here in about five minutes."
Barry's excitement disappeared as he got a flashback of Carnage asking what the use of Iris in his life. Was she what has kept him from falling apart? No, it was always the team and not her alone. All she did was directed him on where to go while staying in S.T.A.R labs. What was her point?
Even though she had almost no important role in team Flash, like Cisco or Caitlin, she was his wife. He loved her dearly and can't see her die like Cisco and Caitlin. He needs to keep her safe. Away from him.
Soon, Iris West Alan hurriedly walked into the Med-Lab where Felicia was running some final test on Barry.
"Barry are you okay?" She asked, walking past Felicia and up to her husband.
Barry eyes Felicia, going unnoticed by Iris as she nodded and left The Med-Lab, closing the door behind her. Going to the cortex, she put in her earpods to listing in on what was happening in the room.
"Iris," Barry said with a calm voice, "I need to tell you something."
"What's wrong?" She asked, looking up at his sneaky eyes.
"We need to break up," Flash said after a moment of silence.
"What! Why-"
"Cisco is dead. Caitlin is dead. Wells is gone. Carnage? He will be coming for you next and I can have that happening. My Mother, Father, and friends died in front of me and I can't have the woman I love also dying in front of me." Barry said, looking into her eyes.
Hearing that, Felicia Cringed. 'The woman I love. What a disgusting sentence.' She thought as she kept on listing.
"We can get through this together like we always do." Iris said with teary eyes.
"No, we can't. Carnage is something I am scared to go against again. Even though the team has taken down fast speedsters like Eobard Thawne, Zoom, or even Savitar, Carnage is different. Worse than all of them combined." Barry said, standing up and calming down.
"We can, I just know-"
"Then how!" Flash shouted, getting angry. "Cisco, the science and technology of the team is gone. Caitlin, the doctor of the team is gone. All that is left is me and you, the navigator. How can we stop him? He will eventually come back for me and I don't want you to be the first person he goes for.'"
"We can find another way." Iris said, tears coming down her eyes.
"Iris, I don't want you to get hurt because of me." Barry said, with a shaky voice, removing his ring and dropping it on the table. "We are through." Orange lightning flashed around his body as he flashed out of S.T.A.R Labs.
Iris watched him leave and started crying while Felicia smiled at the outcome. Not wanting to disturb the crying maiden, she went to the main computer and started searching for Carnage using all the cameras in cities she thinks he would be, finding him soon after.
Seeing where he was, she gathered her stuff and left the Lab. Going toward her red Tesla Roadster, she pressed the key and was about to open the door when she heard,
"What is your plan, Felicia."
Turning around, she saw Iris standing behind her.
"Hmm?" Felicia responded, looking away from the computer, confusion written across her face.
"You fooled everyone but me. Using my connection, I found out who you are. Override, Virtual criminal who is wanted all over the world. You have been to jail 3 times and federal prison 1 time, escaping all of them." Iris asked, getting angry. "You also lied about not knowing Carnage. What is your plan!?"
"Wait, you found out my secret identity?" Felicia asked, looking surprised. "That's amazing. Only Carnage knows about it. You have amazing connections." She said, throwing her bag into the car, not caring.
"I will tell Barry. You are playing with his life. Using him and you cost the death of our friends." Iris said, with a serious tone. "You will be exposed."
Smiling, Felicia turned around and started walking toward Iris. "You can't possibly be thinking of threatening me right now." She said, stopping in front of her. "You know, there are only 2 people I fear in this world. and you are not one of them. You are like a grain of dust to their presence as big as a planet. You are nothing. Why do you think this threat will work?"
"It will. I will make it work!" Iris declared.
Leaning forward, she kissed Iris, shocking her, before turning around. "Do whatever you want. You are a waste of my time."
Looking at Felicia enter her Tesla and driving away, Iris mumbled, "What are you up to?"
