First Hans wasn't sure if it would be good or bad jumping from roof to roof like in those movies.
For now the decision wasn't his as the house forms and highs out here in Grünwald were very diverse, making roof jumping very difficult and hardly practical.
While running Nord he had to realize that he wasn't human himself any longer.
There were quite a few stares directed at him while he was running through the streets.
But nobody did anything as all were too shocked to see a human run at 40 km/h.
Cause of the curfew there were no abnormals on the streets except when there existed the situation where Mutated Beasts or humans lured them out of the houses or it was one of the police teams that was out patrolling.
So in 4 minutes Hans left close to 3 km behind him. He was at the northern border of his district close to the Isar, a great river flowing centrally through Munich
‚There is the Isar. So maybe just maybe I should go along the Isar. Nobody should have been here during the curfew.'
‚Shit, I forgot where the Isar goes out of Munich.'
Hans stopped on a flat roofed Hose and brought out his maps of Munich and the surrounding area to look of following the Isar long term would be good.
In the end it was a bad idea and as such was scraped but following it into the city seemed good.
Hans didn't even look for a path through the green. He just burst through it directly with his body.
After 2 more jumps he was at the water.
The river banks were empty. The water was still. Only a very small amount of fish lived in this river.
It was likely because of the pollution that happened to this river over the last century as this metropolis grew.
———————————————
Following up the river Hans met a few squirrels. They truly scared him as they jumped out and attacked him.
However more then a mental scare nothing happened.
The animals became stronger just as the abnormals but all of them didn't loose their instincts.
Not important if they once were Herbivore or not.
Now they all were blood thirsty beasts.
As the groups Hans had met before had told of mutated appearances of animals that changed, these changed animals were hence forth called Mutated Beasts.
Mutated beasts were classed just as humans and abnormals but they didn't give crystals they have cores. These cores couldn't be consumed but only sold to the black watch. Their prices ranged far.
A general indicator was the smaller the beast the less worth the core.
As alpha beasts were normally also bigger in size then the average of the pack they ruled.
——————————
Shortly after leaving behind his old home district the Isar was split into 2.
One was an official channel for boat traffic.
While the other side was the restored natural Riverbed.
Hans was moving between the trees in the stripe parting the two parts.
Except the squads of squirrels he routinelessly removed he met nothing.
Especially not meeting any birds frightened him as his imagination was close to running rampant if not for the constant fights.
—————————
This went on for a bit before he was able to spot the first abnormals.
They were on the east river bank.
It was the side he had come from.
There were something between 30-50 abnormals. He was unable to count exactly as they crowded at the tree line.
What he could estimate was the cause why there were so many abnormals.
The stones in the front part of the crowd, facing the river were all colored in red.
On the stones 3 hand guns could be found. All spread out from each other.
‚From the hand guns Position I can ascertain that there were at least 3 people running out from the city shooting around wildly dragging the abnormals after them.‚
‚At the river bank they either were caged or maybe one of them tripped.'
‚They must have killed a lot of abnormals in their escape cause I can see three lvl 2 in the middle of the crowd.'
‚I need to get those lvl 2 crystals.‚
‚I have to fight them. Especially now that they are out here a new fight won't drag out even more.'
‚My skills will give me 60 seconds of time in which I have to kill all three and then get back enough space to be able to play hit and run with the rest of the tier 1 crowd.'
Steeling his resolve Hans slowly made his way back to the last bridge he passed by and went over to the east river bank.
Sneaking on the crowd he had to look out for the wind.
For now there was no wind.
It was especially dangerous as Hans wouldn't know when and in which direction the wind would come once he is close.
A successful surprise attack could possibly save him 20 seconds of his skill time and seal this fight as a save battle.
On the opposite, if Hans is unable to kill any lvl 2 in 20 seconds he had to run.
———————————
He was only 5 meters away from the crowd. It wasn't dark enough for him to risk climbing over the lvl 1s so he had to take his shot from here.
Clearing his mind one last time.
‚Activate!'
The world slowed down. Hans could see the branch he launched of breaking under the reactive force of his jump.
He reached the lvl 2 abnormal.
With a slash by his sword it cut deep into the shoulder of the abnormal.
It had moved its neck at the last moment to the side.
With the enhanced strength Hans cleared right through the abnormal. Seeing It survive he went for a second finisher move.
Successfully he beheaded the abnormal and dodged a strike coming at his flank by both the other abnormals.
Unable to collect the crystal Hans dashed into the fight with the other lvl 2s.
With every swing he threatened one of the lvl 2 but also also took a live from the Level 1 abnormals.
Hans had counted 53 abnormals in total.
What he hadn't calculated was that the abnormals would attack from all directions at the same time and block each other's attack.
They were just to uncoordinated.
Using it to put even more focus on his swings he was able to bring down the second Level 2 abnormal after 18 seconds.
Hans was in a good mood. He could take his time now to kill the last Level 2.
You should never play with your opponent. It gives them unnecessary possibilities to come back.
Is what many say. But most of the forgot a part when saying this.
You should never play with your opponent. It gives them unnecessary possibilities to come back at your mistakes you could have avoided if you finished it fast.
It was just that many people who start playing with their opponent make mistakes which leads to the come backs.
Hans was concentrating on beim safe and not making mistakes.
And he didn't make mistakes. He was prepared when an attack came at his back when there shouldn't have been any abnormal able to be fast enough to attack him in that weak-spot.
Only the Level 2 in front would be able to but it was on the defensive so how could it try to attack.
In the end Hans had to take the hit. However he moved his body with the impact to spread the force and weaken its damage.
Thanks to his boosted agility this worked perfectly. Being faced with a surprise opponent Hans back went cold. He only had another 24 seconds.
Now every second counted.
The best would be to finish the wounded lvl 2 then use the last 15 seconds to kill the new guest.
If the times get close he may even had to make some risky moves and take damage to secure the last kill before the times runs out.
Further more he wasn't allowed to have his skills finish when he was surrounded by around 40 abnormals, even if they are all level 1, because with lesser stats and an abnormal on every side it won end well.
Hans slashed at the hurt abnormal but the new guest was trying to hit him.
Backing down now would cost him to much time to get a new chance.
The slash hit and the head rolled. The fist hit to and Hans rolled just as well. However he rolled into 3 lvl 1s. All three threw themselves onto Hans. With a raged outburst of his boosted strength he shot them away pushing away directly also the other lvl 1s.
Not wanting to let it get worse Hans decided to take even more damage but end it now.
He decided to end his city excursion.
One middle groups already played him this bad. Who knew how many higher lvl abnormals may surprise him if the group already had let's say 10 Tier 2s to be seen.
Storming straight at the unwanted guest Hans went in for another one-hit slash.
After that he used the velocity of the sword to further split all the other abnormals into halve at their abdomen.
Using the last 15 seconds Hans gave his all and slaughtered the rest.
Perfectly with the last second Hans slammed on the floor with his knees.
Grasping his sword with his both hands.
He supported his upper body with it, while the sword was embedded in the skull of a in-halve cleaved abnormal.
As a reminder.
Even if a abnormal is cleaved in-halve he is still alive. He will try to crawl to his enemy to fight on.
So Hans had to make sure after disabling all abnormals with the timer running out, he had to start finishing off the abnormals.
Heaving his body up again Hans turned around his head and looked at all the crawling abnormals starring into his eyes.
‚What is it that is moving you forward?'
Hy. So right now it looks like I have this 2 chapter a week thing for two more full weeks.
However things can change so I will keep you up to date.
