Zua'the ran through the forest, not caring about the branches overhead or the logs and boulders on the ground. Any obstacle he encountered, he either pushed past it or destroyed it.
None of them even registered in his head as something he should avoid. There was nothing for him but the destination.
He wanted his lungs to burn, wanted to feel something in his legs or his pounding heart, but his body stayed the same no matter how hard he pushed himself.
"Captain!" shouted one of the men behind him as they tried to keep up with Zua'the's grueling pace. Unfortunately for them, the shout only seemed to egg him on more, forcing his legs to go faster.
Finally, after what seemed like a lifetime to those behind him, Zua'the was forced to a stop as the primary volcano of Dakar stood in his way.
