Capítulo 123: Chapter 123: Tests and Requests

Walking through the dark halls of the royal palace's lower levels, Jax and Satsuki went towards the dungeon where prisoners, who once offended Gamekh, were held. The two classmates noticed that the jail ward was almost full. 

Relentlessly pleading for innocence, most of the newer captives were only recently taken in as prisoners of the freshly concluded war. They watched the young soldiers pass through as they begged for their lives.

Jax sighed as the thought of finally having the time alone with Satsuki was being sabotaged by the jailed criminals around them. "Not exactly what I had in mind for a date with you, Satsuki-chan.."

"Still going on about that?..", asked Satsuki with an awkward smile. "I don't want to reject you again, you know.. it's really hard for me too.."

"You know I was just kidding..", replied Jax with a chuckle to hide the sting he just felt in his chest. "By the way.. why did the old chief ask for me?"
