Capítulo 36: SUNDAY BLUES

That was the longest weekend of my life.

It felt like an eternity.

Church was usually boring, but it was extra boring that Sunday. I just lived through the sermons, barely listening to whatever gibberish Pastor Joshua was saying. My parents could tell something was wrong with me since last night.

It was evident on my face, and I couldn't hide it. The church itself wasn’t that big. It had this grand, old-fashioned structure with tall arched windows letting in streams of sunlight that seemed to mock my mood. The walls were painted a bright white, but today, it felt almost blinding. The large wooden pews stretched across the room, polished to a glossy shine, but their hardness made sitting there for hours feel like torture.
