Penny took a moment to recover from overhearing her parents' private conversation. Even at this age—or perhaps even if she became a grandma—she would never be ready to listen to her parents talk so flirtatiously.
She shook her head, feeling a bit more dizzy and lightheaded now. "Should I just forget about it?"
Meow.
Penny glanced down at the cat in her arms, who seemed to be urging her to continue their plans. Her lips curved down slightly.
"But I feel dizzy now," she muttered. "That bartender is crazy. He told me it's perfect for an occasional drinker, but look at me. I'm a mess."
Chunchun purred again, as if telling her it was okay.
"What am I going to do without you?" Penny sighed, hugging her cat because her cat truly had healing properties. "You always make me less sad, Chunchun. Please live a long, long life."
