After killing Xiao Kuangyun and his group, Xu Lin continued towards the Scarlet Dragon Mountain Range. Right when he exited Cyan Forest Town, he felt something stir within the Sky Poison Pearl.
'Jasmine should be waking up right now.'
A beautiful little girl with waist-length red hair suddenly materialized in front of Xu Lin. Wearing the Smoky Red Fairy Dress, she exhibited a noble kind of loftiness; as if everything in this world was simply beneath her. Her pale, jade-like face showed an expression of pain, presumably from the poison, while her body continually shivered. Gazing into her black gemstone like eyes that were as dark as the night sky, Xu Lin eventually spoke.
"Hey you, you're finally awake. Could you tell me your name, little girl?"
Although Xu Lin already knew that she was Jasmine, it would be strange if he started acting familiar with her when they just met for the first time.
"Jasmine." she quietly muttered with an emotionless tone.
"Jasmine? Nice to meet you, I'm Xu Lin." he replied.
Her scarlet hair fluttered in the wind as she stared directly into his azure eyes.
"This princess has answered your question. Now it's time for you to answer this princess's questions. Why do you have the Sky Poison Pearl?!"
Her menacing gaze seemed to pierce straight into the deepest parts of Xu Lin's soul. She emitted a tyrannical pressure which made it difficult for him to breathe.
"I obtained it from someone by, um..., forcing him to relinquish his ownership over it." he responded truthfully.
Jasmine's gemstone-like eyes narrowed as she glared at Xu Lin. With an icy cold tone, she said:
"Sky Poison Pearl, ranked fifth out of the Seven Heavenly Profound Treasures. I never expected that this heaven-defying treasure would land on some ant in the True Profound Realm! And it actually fused with you! Did the Sky Poison Pearl's spirit go insane?!"
Her killing intent suddenly solidified as she shot her right hand out towards Xu Lin. Unable to react in time, he was effortlessly caught by Jasmine and restrained.
"This princess will give you two choices. The first is to obediently hand over the Sky Poison Pearl to this princess. The second is for this princess to snatch it away from your dead body!"
"I'll choose the second option then."
Jasmine smirked coldly and said:
"You think this princess wouldn't dare to kill you?"
Yet, despite this overwhelming amount of killing intent, Xu Lin didn't panic and only smiled calmly.
"That's right, you wouldn't dare. Because it would mean your death. Seeing as you've been poisoned pretty badly, your only option now is to heal within the Sky Poison Pearl, which is fused with me. That means that your life is connected to me. You need me, not the other way around. Don't worry though, I will do my best to protect you from harm."
After hearing this, Jasmine slowly loosened her grip over Xu Lin and a mocking smile spread across her face.
"You wish to protect this princess?! How laughable. With your pitiful strength, this princess could easily kill you without even looking. But, since you have saved this princess's life, then this princess shall repay you. This princess will grant you a new set of profound veins... a set of profound veins with the strength of a god!"
As Jasmine pridefully spoke, Xu Lin of course already understood that she was talking about the Heretic God's Profound Veins. However, he didn't know what would occur if the Heretic's God Legacy were to encounter his Heavenly Chaos Profound Veins.
'System, what's going to happen if I receive his legacy? Would I have to restart my cultivation all over?'

Xu Lin relaxed and let out a sigh of relief when he heard this. Jasmine, unaware of his thoughts, continued on.
"You only need to promise this princess three conditions to receive this power. The first: you must promise to help this princess find three items… They are: A stalk of Netherworld Udumbara Flower, three Profound Beast Cores no lower than that of the Tyrant Profound Realm as well as… At least thirty-five kilograms of Purple Veined God Crystal! The second condition: you must reach the Sovereign Profound Realm in thirty years! The third condition… Kneel down and worship me as your master!"
Even before Jasmine made these demands, Xu Lin had already decided to accept them after some consideration. Given that Jasmine was a master in the divine realm and one of the twelve Star Gods, he didn't really want to anger her unnecessarily. Another reason was because he didn't wish to repeat Yun Che's mistake; his shoulder was dislocated when he refused to prostrate himself in front of Jasmine.
With the kowtow ceremony completed, Jasmine nodded with approval.
"From here on, this princess will be your master. Do you have any questions?"
Xu Lin shook his head.
"Not really."
"Then, this princess shall now fulfill her promise."
A drop of glowing dark-red liquid suddenly appeared in her palm and hovered over her fingertips. Jasmine stimulated the power contained within the blood drop to float towards Xu Lin's chest.
"Now, receive the power of the Heretic God!"
The droplet of blood touched his skin, and in an instant, it entered into his body. Red markings rapidly spread across Xu Lin, originating from the blood print in his chest. However, likely because his profound veins stayed intact, Xu Lin didn't actually experience a great amount of pain. His expression remained tranquil and peaceful, as if he was not disturbed by this process at all.
Jasmine calmly watched as Xu Lin underwent the transformation. After a few minutes, the demonic marks on his body stopped shimmering and began to fade away, the essence of the blood droplet completely absorbed.
When Jasmine probed the condition of Xu Lin's body, she abruptly shouted out in astonishment.
"You're still at the True Profound Realm?! How can this be?! Shouldn't the Heretic God's power totally destroy one's cultivation?"
Xu Lin pretended to be confused while he answered her question, since he didn't wish to reveal the existence of his special profound veins to anyone. After all, if knowledge about the Heavenly Chaos Profound Veins became known, it would cause a massive uproar throughout the entire divine realm.
"Umm... I'm just as clueless as you are."
Jasmine gazed at Xu Lin with an incredulous look.
"Well, it doesn't seem like anything went wrong and you inherited the Heretic God's power. But don't get too cocky now. You're still nothing compared to most others."
Xu Lin already understood this fact. Even in the Blue Wind Empire, the weakest nation on the Profound Sky Continent, someone at the True Profound Realm could not be considered very outstanding. Although Xu Lin possessed the system, it didn't mean that he was omnipotent. This is why he proceeded to ask:
"Since you're my master now, can you teach me some profound skills?"
"With your current profound strength, this princess can only teach you one technique. It is a movement skill called "Star God's Broken Shadow". Are you willing to learn it?"
Xu Lin resolutely replied:
"Yes!"
