Capítulo 17: Chapter 17 All's (Not) Well At Home

Aaron hummed along with the music that filled the room as she neatly put the groceries away. Each thing had its proper place, lined up neatly with the ones nearest to expiring at the front. The pantry was the one place where Aaron liked things orderly- her room was a shameful pigsty, though she swore she knew exactly where everything was.

The song changed, and a smile blossomed on Aaron's face. She spun, the skirt of a dress she'd salvaged from her mother's closet swirling prettily around her shapely legs, and bent to crank the volume up.

Aaron jumped around the kitchen, her best attempt at dancing, and did her best to not slip on the floor in her fuzzy black socks. She whirled to slot a box of instant mashed potatoes next to the brown gravy mix.
