In early Ancient Aud language, there was no concept of Snow Elves; even the successors speaking Tasta language later had an ambiguous term for Snow Elves.

The Ancient Aud language referred to Snow Elves as the Snowman Tribe because they believed those people transformed from the snowmen built during winter. The later Tasta language inherited this term but with some modifications.

In fact, these modifications were mainly driven by Earth scientists. According to their research, it had been found that Snow Elves and the Wood Elves from the southern Ilanadale were likely the same species. Therefore, in the context of the Earth language, the Snowman Tribe was directly translated to Snow Elves.

Later, as the exchange between the two worlds deepened and Tasta language was heavily influenced by Earth's culture, it adopted the Earth terminology for Snow Elves and even standardized the names for other elf races.
