Capítulo 188: Chapter 188: Zunesha

Jack's men resorted to poisonous gas because Jack himself had been unable to mount an attack for a long time. If Nekomamushi and Inuarashi had joined forces, they could have defeated Jack.

In this scenario, even if the enemy used poison gas, they would have at least taken down Jack first, and then dealt with the others. As long as their combat power was superior to the opponent's, it would have been best to take out Jack first.

It's certainly true that the other side wouldn't have released poison gas at the beginning of the fight, only as a last resort when Jack was on the verge of defeat.

The two Mink Tribe leaders, Nekomamushi and Inuarashi, were engaged in a wheel battle, fighting with others for days and nights on end. There was nothing inherently wrong with this tactic. To be honest, if they had died in battle, it wouldn't have been a pity. After all, Luo Ning didn't feel that way about his own potential death. Who could blame them for fighting to the death?

If Sanji and his group hadn't arrived, and Chopper had still been there at that time, Chopper could be said to have saved the entire Mink Tribe. Without Chopper's medical expertise, the Mink Tribe would have truly been wiped out, even with Sanji and the others' arrival. In that case, the entire country would have owed their lives to outsiders.

Of course, none of this happened and cannot happen now, since Kaido is gone.

With that in mind, the group headed straight for Wano Country. As for Yamato, who still considered herself Kozuki Oden, she was still wandering around outside. Luo Ning didn't inform her about their departure. He knew that Yamato would definitely have followed them.

They weren't coming back anyway, and Luo Ning didn't plan to pick her up, so he let her continue her adventures. As for Luo Ning and his group, under the control of Luo Ning's ability, the ship flew directly to Wano Country at an incredible speed. With Reiatsu protecting them, the trip took less than half an hour.

This speed could only be described as terrifyingly fast, but then again, Luo Ning was incredibly powerful now.

Under normal circumstances, if they were leaving by ship, Luo Ning wouldn't have used his ability to speed things up. However, this time was different. He needed to meet with someone first, so Luo Ning accelerated their journey.

The group arrived in Wano Country with astonishing speed.

"Wow... that was incredibly fast! It's like you just hung up the phone and then poof, you're here!"

Kozuki Hiyori was speechless. This speed was simply mind-blowing. In the past, traveling by sea meant long journeys, but Luo Ning had managed to get from Impel Down to Wano Country in no time.

It's important to remember that the distance involved wasn't like traveling between the four seas, where you just need to cross the Calm Belt. The difficulty with reaching the Grand Line for most ships lies in the fact that they can only travel along the Reverse Mountain if they can't navigate the Calm Belt.

One challenge is the treacherous climb up Reverse Mountain, and the other is the sheer distance. Ships have to travel from all over the world to reach Reverse Mountain, and then cross it to enter the Grand Line.

This essentially multiplies the straight-line distance by a significant amount. It's no wonder it's a long journey.

However, traveling from Impel Down to Wano Country also requires crossing the Red Line, followed by a significant distance to reach Wano.

This is far from a short trip. While other ships would take a long time to sail, Luo Ning managed the journey in just half an hour.

"Long time no see, Hiyori!"

Nami and the others were also happy to see Kozuki Hiyori, whom they considered a sister.

Unfortunately, due to the ongoing efforts to stabilize the situation in Wano, frequent get-togethers weren't possible.

They could have come on their own, but the journey was simply too long and inconvenient.

"Wano Country looks much better now, completely different from before."

Luo Ning agreed. The ship had stopped at the shore, and he could see the positive changes Wano had undergone. It was definitely in a much better state now.

"Our reconstruction is almost finished," Kozuki Hiyori said with a smile. "There are still a few things to address, but overall, we've finally recovered. So, this time, we're setting sail for Zou!"

Wano's improvements filled her with satisfaction, and now it was time to head to Zou.

After some conversation, everyone was ready to depart. They could have left any time, but they were waiting for Luo Ning's arrival.

They thought they'd have a long wait, but to their surprise, Luo Ning reached Wano Country in just half an hour. It was unbelievably fast.

On the bright side, there was no need to wait any longer.

The ship set sail soon, with the Impel Down warship following behind. However, Kozuki Hiyori unexpectedly ran towards the warship. The other generals felt helpless; they couldn't really say much about it.

They too hoped things would work out, so they could only watch.

The ship journeyed across the sea, and thanks to Wano's lack of current difficulties in finding Zou, they managed to locate it after a while. As Luo Ning observed their location, he noticed that the sea beneath them wasn't very deep.

This was a very special shallow sea area.

What made it special? Typically, shallow sea areas have a gradual incline, similar to the shallow waters surrounding an island.

But unlike a typical continental shelf, this shallow sea area is incredibly shallow.

This explains why Zunesha can walk freely on the water here.

Luo Ning had actually guessed this before. When Jack was thrown overboard, he sank straight to the bottom, unable to move and completely reliant on rescue.

In that situation, Jack wouldn't have survived. Even with his physiology, he wouldn't have drowned, but there was a bigger problem: food. Immobilized at the bottom of the sea, Jack wouldn't have been able to find anything to eat and would have starved to death.

If the area wasn't very shallow, he would have sunk into the abyssal depths, making recovery nearly impossible.

The same principle applies to Zunesha. Many have questioned how Zunesha manages to stand on the water. Given its proportions, a significant portion of its body should be submerged, with most of its legs underwater or only its body visible above the surface.

However, Zunesha's upper body appears well-coordinated above the water. Luo Ning even remembers an image depicting Zunesha underwater, with ridiculously long legs unseen from the surface.

It now seems clear that this is all because Zunesha resides in an exceptionally shallow sea area. Of course, this shallowness is relative to Zunesha's immense size, with a body height reaching tens of kilometers. The area on its back functions as a stage island.
