The Thousand Sunny sailed smoothly across the glittering ocean under a sky scattered with clouds. Kikidori, now officially part of the crew, wandered the ship in awe. His eyes darted from the intricate woodwork to the various contraptions and gadgets spread across the deck. It felt like a dream—his first day as a Straw Hat Pirate.
"This ship is amazing," Kikidori whispered to himself, running his hand along the railing.
As he wandered toward the lower decks, Kikidori hummed a little tune. Turning a corner, he nearly collided with a small, furry figure.
"AHHH!" Kikidori screamed, stumbling backward and falling flat on his rear.
"AHHH!" the small reindeer screamed back, jumping and dropping a medical kit he had been carrying.
For a moment, the two just stared at each other, wide-eyed and frozen.
"W-What are you?!" Kikidori finally blurted out, his voice shaking.
"I'm not scary, I swear!" the reindeer replied, flailing his tiny arms defensively. "I'm Tony Tony Chopper, the ship's doctor!"
Kikidori blinked, his fear slowly replaced with curiosity. "A talking reindeer…? You're the doctor?"
Chopper puffed out his chest and adjusted his tiny hat. "That's right! I'm the best doctor in the world!"
"That's so cool!" Kikidori said, his eyes sparkling with admiration. "I've never seen anything like you before!"
Chopper froze, his cheeks turning pink as he wiggled in embarrassment. "D-Don't call me cool, you idiot!" he said, covering his face with his hooves. "But… if you insist, I guess I am kinda amazing!"
Kikidori laughed, realizing Chopper wasn't scary at all. "I've never met a doctor before. What's it like?"
Chopper perked up, his earlier embarrassment forgotten. "Being a doctor means helping people when they're hurt or sick. I've studied medicine for years, and I can treat any injury!"
Kikidori's gaze dropped to the shinai strapped to his side. "That's really amazing… I want to be a great swordsman, but I've never been good at anything. I just… don't know if I'll ever be strong enough."
Chopper tilted his head, his expression softening. "Everyone starts somewhere," he said gently. "When I was younger, nobody believed I could be a doctor because I was different. But I didn't give up. I worked hard and learned everything I could. You just have to believe in yourself."
Kikidori looked up, surprised by the reindeer's wisdom. "Do you really think I can do it?"
Chopper nodded firmly. "Of course! You're on this crew now, and everyone here believes in you. That's all you need to start."
Before Kikidori could respond, a loud crash echoed from the upper deck.
"USOPP!" Nami's voice bellowed, followed by the sound of frantic footsteps.
Chopper sighed, already picking up his medical kit. "Sounds like someone needs me. Come on, let's go see what's going on!"
Kikidori followed Chopper up to the deck, his earlier doubts momentarily forgotten. Maybe, just maybe, he could find his strength among this incredible crew.
