The massive figure of true energy lingered for a full fifteen minutes before it began to shrink, gradually being absorbed back into Chiba's body.
After another quarter of an hour, it was fully submerged, and Chiba slowly opened his eyes, which now gleamed with an intense focus, resembling the gaze of a giant elephant.
As they looked at him, both Peacock and Hina felt a profound sense of pressure emanating from Chiba—a weight that seemed to press down on their very souls.
They couldn't summon even the slightest thought of resistance.
Koby and Helmeppo were even more terrified, their bodies trembling uncontrollably.
Only when Chiba reined in his aura, returning to his natural state, did Koby and Helmeppo manage to stop shaking. They slumped to the ground, breathing heavily and drenched in sweat.
Helmeppo removed his glasses, still shaken. "Master Chiba's strength is terrifying. I could barely handle it. How about you, Koby?"
"I… I thought I was going to be crushed by that aura," Koby replied, equally rattled. "I didn't expect Master Chiba's presence alone to be so overwhelming, even stronger than an Admiral's. It's truly frightening."
Hina took a relieved breath and smiled, her beautiful face softening as she walked over to Chiba. Parting her red lips slightly, she congratulated him, "Congratulations, Chiba, on your strength improvement. Hina is happy for you."
Chiba returned her smile. "It's definitely worth celebrating. After all this time, I've finally achieved the first level of great perfection. Now, I feel much more confident about rescuing Ace."
"Chiba, congratulations on your newfound power." Peacock strutted over, her proud, alluring figure moving like a dancer's. With her angelic face brimming with joy, her gaze was full of affection as she looked at Chiba.
The stronger Chiba became, the more Peacock was drawn to him, feeling an urge to conquer him.
"Enough, Peacock. How far are we from Banaro Island?" Chiba asked, looking toward the horizon, where he could faintly see land.
"Hmph, changing the subject, are we?" Peacock huffed in mock annoyance, but she understood the seriousness of the situation. Pointing to the land ahead, she said, "Banaro Island is just up ahead."
"Just now, Mr. Ye, you caused quite a commotion. If Blackbeard and your brother Ace are on that island, they should have sensed us by now."
The thought of seeing Ace filled Chiba with excitement, and he laughed with the two women beside him.
"If my timing's right, it's been over four years since I last saw Ace."
"You don't know this, but when Ace and I first met, that little rascal kept saying he wanted to go to sea, to become the Pirate King, and that I should be his vice-captain."
"Did you agree?" Hina asked with a smile, her curiosity piqued. In her mind, she thought, It seems Ye Jun has a close bond with this Ace. But Ace is a pirate, and I'm with the Marines. What should I do?
Forget it, she reasoned. Regardless, Ye Jun's brother is someone I have to look out for.
Chiba chuckled. "Agree? Hell no. What's so great about being a pirate? Running from the Marines all the time?"
"Besides, if I were to become a pirate, I'd have to be the captain myself."
"That Ace… at best, he could make do as my vice-captain."
"These days, Ace has eaten the Mera Mera no Mi and become the captain of the Whitebeard Pirates' 2nd Division. He's made quite a name for himself at sea, enough to give Sengoku a headache."
"With that kind of strength, he's capable enough to be my vice-captain, but I still wouldn't trust him with his own fleet."
"Why not?"

Another man stood beside him on the roof.
He wore an unusual hat, an eyepatch over his right eye, had a long face, and wore a black cloak.
At the moment, he was holding a sniper rifle, peering through its scope at the approaching merchant ship.
"Van Augur, what's going on? What was that roar just now?"
"And that ship… is it a Marine warship?"
The man holding the sniper rifle was none other than Van Augur, the sniper and captain of the third ship of the Blackbeard Pirates.
Van Augur lowered his rifle, glancing at the ship in the distance. "It's not a warship; it's just an ordinary merchant vessel."
"But I can see five Marines and two junior soldiers aboard, along with three Rear Admirals: the Snake Woman, Peacock; the Pegasus, Hina; and the Marine legend, Monkey D. Chiba."
