"I will do what I want to do. You cannot forever restraint me with these chains!" The orange-brown-haired girl yelled towards her father, who was the Angel Lord who ruled the Holy lands. "I don't care who you are to love but not that demon! You do know that having a relationship with a demon is forbidden!" Her father yelled back at her.
"Father!" She cried and touched his arms but was slapped away.
"Lock her up in this room. I was foolish for allowing you to go to the Deadlands," Her father spoke in disappointment and left the room that was filled with her cries.
The orange-brown haired girl was called Floriana, but they call her Flora in short. Today was the worst day of her life. She was caught having a relationship with the demon. Flora isn't a normal angel since she is the daughter of the angel lord—the ruler of the Holy land.
While the person she fell in love with was the demon lord's son, Kaeden.
The angels and demons had been in war for how long to the point no one knew when it started. But it was said that it started since the world was made. The two were opposites, there were the angels who possessed light magic while the demons possessed dark magic. While there was the human race, who stayed neutral.
The humans didn't possess any magic, but there were a few who did but only a percentage did. Those who are special are forced to train and protect their own lands.
Flora tried using her magic to destroy the chains around her foot, but they were indestructible. She groaned out of frustration and tried once more, but the results were the same. There isn't anything she could do anymore, leaving her hopeless.
"Kaeden," She called his name out loud. But there wasn't any response from him. "Save me, I can't. I don't want to be here. I don't want to be in here." She tried once more, and finally, her call reached into his head.
"Flora? What happened? Why are you crying? Do you want me to go there?" His gentle voice asked.
"Father found out about our relationship, and he's going to attack y-"
Out of nowhere, the trumpets were playing as a sign of the enemy coming. Flora rushed to the balcony and sees the demon army right out on the borders of the holy land. What's the point of this war? Flora asked herself as she sees the burning town right in front of her eyes. The pieces of ashes fly, reaching her balcony.
The door to her room opens and rushed in the royal guards who unlocked the chains around her ankles. Not listening to the guards, she rushed to the hallways running and not caring where her destination was.
Flora kept running and running not until she sees the silver flower tree. Her breath was cut short, and she made her way under the tree. The silver flower tree is the cause of this war; it isn't any normal tree as it could give anyone eternal life.
The reason why the angels kept it was because the demons wanted to have eternal life. But that wasn't the case. The demons wanted to be the ones to guard the silver flower tree, but the angels got it wrong.
None of them knew about this except for the two. If she wanted this war to end, the only choice she had was to destroy it, but that also meant her life will be taken away. But for the peace of the two races, she would do anything to stop this stupid war. Even if it meant not seeing the person, she loved forever.
Flora took deep breaths, and as she closes her eyes, the silver flower tree starts glowing. The blinding light spreads all over the world. It was a sign that the silver flower tree has been destroyed. The fighting stopped as they were all speechless, while some didn't know what was happening.
"FLORA!" Kaeden called and sees Flora smiling but later fell onto the ground like a lifeless person. He rushed to her side and looks at the missing tree. "No, why did you do this? You can't leave me alone. You can't."
"I'm sorry," Flora apologizes. It was the worst day of all. To break the silver flower tree, it needs to sacrifice someone's life. But to end the war, someone needed to break the tree, which Flora did.
"Don't forget me, never," Kaeden cried on her lap. Flora smiled and strokes his black hair. Using her last energy to speak, she said, "Let us meet in one hundred years later." With her last breath, he held his cries in but couldn't when he sees a tear dropping from her eyes.
"Let us meet again where everyone and everything lives in peace."
Until this day, many people think that this story was a lie, but it was all true one hundred years ago.
Before she knew it, an orange-brown haired girl awoke from her sleep crying. It was the same dream again. The dream that has been playing in her sleep that she doesn't know since when it had began.
