Jakes said "can we please talk?"
Laura said "do you want to insult me again?"
Jakes said "No, I'm sorry babe, I was a jerk and I hate fighting with you."
Laura said "I can leave this place, I'm pretty sure my "happy family" will take me in, if you think I'm here because I'm afraid of being homeless."
Jakes said "No babe please forgive me, I promise I will always trust you, have your back and that I won't hurt you."
Laura said "don't make such promises not a teenager jakes, you will probably hurt my feelings someday and I will too. Not saying is right such things happen I forgive you."
Jakes said "Thank you, I was going crazy thinking that I lost my woman over some dumb things."
Laura said "how did you realise you were wrong?"
Jakes said "I thought about what you said, my father was lying and I promise you won't have to deal with such from my father."
Laura said "what do you mean?"
Jakes said "will move out will get our own apartment, house whatever you want."
Laura said "I will be happy to move out of here but not like this, what I want is a peaceful life and my man happy so please fix things with your father."
Jakes said 'I will try."
Laura said "I want to hear, yes I will do it babe from you "
Jakes said "I will do it for you come give me some love. "
Laura said "you are squeezing me, I don't like hugs just from my man only."
Jakes said "lucky for you I happen to be your man.'
Laura said "you are the lucky one here."
Jakes said "I am and I love you so much."
Exams were over finally summer holidays.
Jakes said "you do know graduation is next year May, we need to submit before February next year still lot of time."
Laura said "you are the one who came with the idea of working with you father this summer."
Jakes said "I know plans changed, how about this summer we go on a vacation, and January will work at my father's company even for few days will get that report. So what do you say please say yes?"
*The old Laura would have said No, how dare he makes plans without talking to me first, this new Laura was letting jakes in take the lead and it was exciting. *
Laura said "yes, where do you want us to visit?"
Jakes said "will both decide, what activities we want to do there, first just need to choose the country will visit or place then everything will be simple."
Laura said "let's just Google it."
Jakes said "read my mind."
*he types down "Most romantic countries to visit or places" using Google and thank God for this thing called Google you are welcome couples out there Google just as easy as that.*
Laura said "I always wanted to go to Italy. Scotland, Belgium and Italy my three picks."
Jakes said "I'm thinking California, I'm kidding babe will choose from your picks how about Belgium Bruges just looking at it I'm already lost in that place."
Laura said "it's beautiful and it will be awesome babe."
Jakes said "Belgium here we come."
Laura said "here's to living, being alive and being happy."
Jakes thought about kissing Laura but wanted it to be special, Laura was different from all those girls, and he was going out with. He was going to wait and do things differently.
Laura said "was too excited forgot about the costs, I don't want you to waste all your money on me your father shouldn't think I'm with you for your money."
Jakes said "Relax, my father won't interfere, I and he agree to stay away from each other's love life."
Laura said "I'm glad to hear that, so excited babe I need summer clothes."
Jakes said "I was not planning on going with you dressing like that, I mean new fashion style won't hurt."
Laura said "wow, is my fashion choices that bad?"

Laura said "fine, to help me with clothes only, my natural hair and me not wearing makeup not going to change that."
Jakes said "I am not trying to change you, you're perfect just the way you're love. "

Jakes's father said "are you planning a trip?"
Jakes said "yes, unfortunately not like your business trips."
Jakes's father said "I thought we move on."
Jakes said "I'm kidding, I'm planning to surprise her about Italy, and just trying to find what will do there. First will go to Belgium Bruges, then straight to Italy."
Jakes's father said "if you're happy I'm happy too, I will call my travel agent make things simpler for you. "
Jakes said "I appreciate it you're the best."
Jakes's father said "well, there are no crazy parties here in my home and you have grown up now."
Jakes said "I don't remember you complaining not once but annoyed only."
Jakes's father said "just wanted you to make your mistakes and learn. Your late Grandma raise me that way, she trusted me to do the right things always even when I messed up."
Jakes said "sounds like you had so much freedom."
Jakes's father said" I had so much freedom with that I had to be responsible, I didn't live in any bubble, many parents don't want their children to make the same mistakes they did, instead of letting them fall and be there to pick them up. "
Jakes said "well I know who to call when I'm in trouble, you dad and I love you for it."
Jakes's father said "what have you done with my son, do you know how your mother and I would wait for you to say those words to say I love you on your own."

Jakes's father said "I can just fill it right now."
Jakes said "that's what everyone thinks I will do, I will come to work and do what I'm required to do. Please I need someone else to supervise me and Laura get one of your many managers to write the report not my father to be fair."
Jakes's father said "okay, will talk to Michael one of my best employees he will place you and Laura at the company, the one that's here in the city. "
Jakes said "thank you."
Jakes's father said" you are so welcome and other students will struggle to find a job out there."
Jakes said "I know dad."
Laura was wearing a pink dress high heels, she didn't like high heels she wanted to look good for jakes, she was into sneakers, flat shoes yes granny shoes they're comfortable and sandals.
Jakes said "wow you look amazing."
Laura said "I'm glad you like it well you pick it though."
*they laughed * he stood in front of her and Laura's heart was beating so fast.
"You're beautiful" jakes said
Laura thought he was going for a kiss but instead he kissed her on the forehead.
Laura said "well we should get going."
Laura disappointed," why didn't he kiss me what's the matter and are we a couple or just buddies? "Laura was thinking about all the crazy things.
Jakes said "awesome babe, my father I told him about working at his company he has no problem with that, so you and I will have fun next year January."
Laura said "that's great, I feel that I have been given a new chance in life, all this great things happening I'm so lucky to have you. "
Jakes said "what can I say I'm like the lucky fortune cookie. "
Laura said "your jokes are not funny, something to work on."
