Vice parked the car just outside the courtyard. Like he predicted, all the flash was already attracting interested onlookers.
Ivo climbed down and breathed in the night air. It was stale and muggy, heavy with heat even at night. At least the pollution rates had been low for the past two months and they could be outside without respirator masks.
Thiago climbed a few links on the crooked chain fence surrounding that side of the courtyard to look over the crowd. "I think I see Maguari, over there," he pointed northwise. "Or at least another lady with a red bandana and curly grey hair."
Alina snorted. "Yeah, considering our people's fashion sensibilities that really narrows it down."
"It could be worse. Remember when we found those green canvas jumpsuits?" Davi asked.
Thiago came down from the fence and landed with a grunt between Alina and Davi. "Didn't you start that trend, boss?"
I was thinking some of you might be interested in Brazilian movie recs! (I haven't forgotten about that spotify playlist, don't worry)
Some of my favourites in no particular order: Carandiru, Bacurau, Private Desert, Eu Não Quero Voltar Sozinho (short), Bicho de sete cabeças. There's plenty more worth checking out, and a lot of tv shows, but I'll leave you with my favourite of the moment which is Manhãs de Setembro (september mornings), and which I think is available internationally on prime.
