64.28% Necron in the Multiverse / Chapter 8: First trip

Capítulo 8: First trip

Hasyn was alone on his Tomb World. He was the last Necron who was still awake and for good reason. He was currently creating something that would allow him to travel to a completely different Universe. His Essence was to thank that he could even create something like it. He was asking himself whether or not he should go alone to this Universe. He was aiming for something in that universe and ironically, he could create the object himself, but the fact that he could go there personally was what interested him.

He decided to take his Necron Warriors with him, in a portable device he created. They were programs in the first place and under his control entirely. They were expendable if anything. If things got out of hand, he could immediately summon the rest of his Dynasty with but a thought. This was just a test run to see whether other universes could be brought to heel or if it would be smarter to concentrate on the Warhammer one first. Either way, Hasyn didn't care. He had been a Necron for far too long and had gotten used to it. In fact, he took pride in being Necron. His cold hard logical thinking told him that it was his Essence and his Necron body and abilities, that allowed him to be so successful and thrive during the War in Heaven.

The device was complete. His nanomachines were working according to his will. He didn't want an external device which could be stolen. He activated it with a thought and in front of him a swirling portal appeared. Hasyn made sure to open this portal in a specially created dimension, that would stop any other being from slipping through his portal. It would be unwise to allow Chaos or the denizens of the Immaterium to spread through the Multiverse. Hasyn steps through the portal and appears on a very special planet that is currently in peril ... Cybertron.

.

Cybertron was the adopted form of the lord of the Light Gods Primus, who trapped himself and Unicron, the Dark God or Chaos-Bringer, in barren asteroids which they then shaped into their physical forms. While Unicron turned his prison into a transformable, humanoid body, Primus reformed himself into a vast Saturn-sized machine-world, home to a robotic race he created to fight Unicron with similar transformation abilities.

Aside from the Transformers, the world possesses the mechanical equivalent of plant and animal life, though the exact nature and origin of this lower "life" has never been examined in detail. This version of Cybertron has rough-hewn mountain ranges and great seas. Though of note these seas are not made of water. Liquid water is so rare on Cybertron that it is thought of as a mythical substance. Alternative substances these bodies are filled with are mercury and liquid helium. The atmosphere and temperature on most of the surface are such that human life can survive unaided.

In its earliest recorded era, Cybertron orbited Alpha Centauri, and the Transformers were at peace. From an unknown point in time, Cybertron was ruled by the Overlords, a governing council of absolute rulers. Over time, their power and number dwindled, until Cybertron was composed of multiple city-states who were constantly clashing with each other; the key three powers were Vos, Tarn and Iacon. While all the major cities were using their might to pump energy at the expense of others, Iacon did ration theirs out to neighbouring smaller cities.

Tarn and Vos, by comparison, built up vast armies. In an attempt to lessen growing hostilities caused by the splintering governments and the dwindling resources on Cybertron, the last Overlord started the Games: an inter-city gladiatorial tournament. This allowed the population to exorcise their hostilities, and soon the vicious athlete Megatron had a cult of personality based around him and his feats. He built this up, quietly planning to unite Cybertron under his own rule and turn it into a mighty cosmic dreadnought! One of his great rivals was Optimus Prime, the champion of Iacon.

Vos — ruled by a Starscream-headed criminal syndicate — sent its athletic team to bomb Tarn, which was ruled by Shockwave and blamed Iacon as the culprit. As with all plans by Starscream, this cocked up — Tarn realised Vos had attacked it, and war broke out that devastated both cities. Iacon happily let its rivals beat on each other. During the conflict, Optimus Prime tried to get the Overlord to safety but Megatron secretly ensured the leader starved to death; once the war ended, Megatron used his fame and charisma to convince the war's survivors that Iacon was at fault for not stepping in to prevent the war and that Iacon was the enemy. This angry mass became the first Decepticons.

Following the destruction of Tarn and Vos, Optimus Prime had planned to become a medical officer, but enrolled in the Autobot army as soon as the Decepticons declared war. He was immediately put in charge of the Elite Flying Corps. The Autobots were completely unprepared for Megatron's initial strike, and many fell in battle. Optimus was barely able to organize his troops to fight back in time to save his kind from total genocide.

As a general, Prime proved to be the only one capable of rallying the rag-tag forces into a proper army. As his reputation became known, he was promoted to field commander of the entire Autobot army but regrettably, the Council of Autobot Elders still pulled the strings. Unknown to the Elders, Optimus Prime began orchestrating unsanctioned military actions. As the Great War intensified, Autobot territories began falling under Decepticon dominion, one City-State at a time. The last City-State to be taken was the Autobot capital of Iacon. The Decepticons almost overpowered the Autobot defensive line at Jan-Ja but Optimus fired up his troops and made an unexpected charge, repulsing the superior Decepticon forces.

On 1st Cycle 820, as Decepticons besieged Iacon, the Council of Elders prepared to surrender. Councillor Xaaron suggested that High Councillor Traachon step down and allow a military officer to assume Autobot leadership. Traachon then used his powers of veto and effectively elected himself out of office, allowing Optimus Prime to assume supreme command of the Autobots, becoming the first soldier to ever hold the mantle of Autobot leadership. This came when Optimus had already set in motion a plan behind their back: using shatter bombs to collapse the bridge into Iacon after the Decepticons had 'triumphantly' begun crossing it. To ensure this worked, Optimus fought Megatron personally to keep his attention away from advancing: their first meeting since the Vos-Tarn war.

Hasyn looks around himself and sees a war going on. It is something he is used to by now. He has been fighting wars for millennia at this point, so while this seems different, it is still the usual. The planet on which he appears is called Cybertron. And there are very interesting details about this world and its species. They are all mechanical beings. Living robot, made from the material called 'Living Metal'. The irony is not lost on Hasyn as he stands there and observes everything. In the blink of an eye, Hasyn has analysed information and objects that he sees without one second having passed fully. He could slow down his perception of time so much, that it seemed like it was standing still.

Hasyn had two goals. One was to acquire the Creation Matrix and the second was to 'recruit' potential members for the Prakasri Dynasty. He had one in mind which after a slight do-over, would be perfect. As for the rest, it wasn't that important.

He began walking through the partially destroyed streets of Cybertron and analysed everything. He was interested in the planet itself and could feel that he could force some form of control on it. His Essence was truly a powerful tool for him. This was similar to a buffet for Hasyn, as he could take anything he pleased without anyone being able to do anything about it. His control over all mechanical or electronic devices made him neigh all-powerful in this world.

Suddenly a group of Decepticons appeared. It was a group of five jets and three more who were driving on the ground. When they saw Hasyn, they stopped and approached him.

"Who are you? Are you an Autobot?" the first one asked.

The group approached him with their weapons raised and ready to fire. But Hasyn wasn't worried. He was interested in how his own weapons would fare against these. From everything he gathered, his weapons are far superior to these.

"Where is his sign? Are you a blank?"

"He might be an Autobot undercover. To spy on us and deceive us by hiding his mark."

"A foolish thought. I am neither an Autobot nor a Decepticon. I would never allow myself to be allied by such weak notions. My name is Hasyn the Relentless, Phaeron of the Prakasri Dynasty and future King of the Necrons. So you better lower your weapons, before I deem you ... an inconvenience."

...

"Kill him!"

*BOOOM* x 25

The Decepticons fired at Hasyn, who stood there to receive their attacks. He wanted to feel how his improved Necrodermis would fare against these Energon-powered weapons.

After a few moments, they stopped attacking. They backed off in shock as they saw Hasyn being unharmed. There was no damage on his Necrodermis whatsoever. But it made sense. He had killed beings so far more powerful than these ones here, that it was a foolish notion to believe they could damage him. The absorbed Silent King's Necrodermis and the Necrodermis he absorbed from the Nightbringer, added with the infinite energy supply of the C'tan shard gave him insane resistance to any form of damage.

"My turn."

Hasyn points his left arm towards the Decepticons. From it, an energy caster appears. He activates it and fires the Tachyon Arrow towards the Decepticons.

*VROOOM*

The Tachyon Arrow transmutes a silver inert metal into an unstoppable thunderbolt, capable of piercing the heart of a mountain, let alone a Decepticon. Three of the Decepticons who were standing relatively close together are pierced in one go, leaving a large hole in their bodies and dropping to the ground.

He suddenly disappears from their perception and appears behind them, with the heads of three more in his hands. He drops the heads and turns to the last two remaining Decepticons who have lost all will to fight and drop to the ground.

"Now, you will tell me everything I want to know."

.

In the command centre of the Decepticon base, a secret room was dedicated to gathering information and forming strategies. In this room, the Cybertronian called Shockwave was busy reviewing some troubling but still interesting news.

Shockwave has been referred to as "a computer on legs." This is not far from the truth. Logic rules Shockwave's thought processes and is the source of his every inspiration. He sees emotion as a weakness and a distraction. His frightening and exceptionally powerful form supports his cold and calculating modus operandi. When it all comes down to it, everything is about resources. Shockwave has always recognized this, and while those around him pursued power, politics, and other petty concerns, the master scientist focused his superlative intellect on defeating entropy and securing the future of his species.

Although the dangerous logician sided with the Decepticons in the war that eventually gripped Cybertron, this is merely an alliance of convenience. He is looking at various screens, which show him the image of a portal opening somewhere on Cybertron and a robotic figure exiting. The readings of his scanners show a breach in space, one of which he has never seen. Shockwave is intrigued, as there is no known technology on Cybertron capable of doing that. And the being that has landed on Cybertron is also a conundrum for him.

The logical brain of Shockwave was racing and calculating different possibilities as well as changes to his plans. This could tip the balance he so counted on. Megatron and his emotion-based decision-making were getting on his nerves and now this ... he would have to gather more information. He sent out various spy droids of his own creation. Small Decepticon-constructs who specialised in the art of intel gathering.

"Get me all the information about this creature as you can. Do it fast."

Shockwave observed the rest of the intel he got. He didn't see what happened, but he has seen the remains of a Decepticon group, sent out to strike the Autobots and cause a distraction. This was now ruined and would impact their plans. A plan he had created himself. The idea was to lure either Optimus Prime or some of his forces there to deal with the expendable Decepticon group and make the real attack simpler.

[Connection to Megatron ... established.]

"Megatron, there has been a change in plans," Shockwave's emotionless voice was heard and the angry voice of Megatron right after.

"WHAT?! What happened?"

"An ... anomaly has turned up. He has taken out our surprise attack and ruined the plan to diminish the Autobot's numbers. You should retreat until the threat has been analysed."

"I DON'T RETREAT!! I will fight the Autobots head-on if necessary. Optimus will perish by my hands."

"Your statement is unlogical and highly unlikely, given your past records."

"SILENCE! You gathered as much as you can about this 'anomaly', while I deal with the Autobots and do the most damage we can and I finally kill Optimus."

"Chances of success: below 28%"

*BEEP*

"Attack will fail. An appropriate reaction has to be calculated and prepared for. More intelligence is needed."
