Capítulo 285: Reconciliation between two former best friends
After being invited by Kaneki to talk at the rooftop Yuuka started to panic because it didn't look like he was calmed down at all.
She patiently waited for lunch, same goes for Kaneki and when lunch arrived Kaneki immediately made his move.
Querxes: alright! Lunch time has started everyone! Also Kaneki, you will be attending the other classes Training since you missed training for W.S.S.F yesterday got it?
Kaneki: yeah yeah.
Querxes: okay. With that everyone enjoy your lunch!
Querxes Sensei then left the room.
Kaneki then got up first and started using Darkness travel.
Kaneki: be sure to come alright? I'll be waiting.
Kaneki then left via Darkness travel.
Yuuka: Crap! That was scary!
???: you really did piss him off huh?
???: he might actually kill you.
Yuuka: Arghh! What a I going to do now?!
Natsuki: just go an apologize he might listen to you.
Yuuka: but it's not going to be easy! I'm seriously afraid!
Sachi: then I suggest you go now because Kaneki will get very impatient.
Yuuka: !!! Alright! I'll go wish me luck! Hopefully I don't die!
Yuuka then started walking to the Rooftop.
???: let's go watch their talk.
???: yeah, I'm quite curious about what's going to happen.
Ryueki: yeah let's go, just in case Higanbana tries to do something to Mirai.
???: let's go!
Kaneki and Yuuka's classmates decided to go watch their chat.
All their classmates then left the classroom leaving Sach, Shino, Miku, Chikao and Natsuki.
Sachi: do you think they'll reconcile?
Natsuki: hopefully.
Shino & Miku: we believe in her.
Chikao: let's just hope our classmates don't interrupt them.
Natsuki: yeah hopefully they don't do that.
Meanwhile at the rooftop*
Sword-san: [so you're really gonna do this Kaneki-chan?]
Kaneki: yup, and I have to admit I... Am so frickin nervous!
Sword-san: [it's alright, relax you have me here]
Kaneki: thanks. Well she's almost here. 3... 2... 1...
Slam!
Yuuka: Kaneki I'm here! ... Wait where are you?
Yuuka came just in time.
Kaneki: Yo I'm up here.
Yuuka looked up behind her at the doorway to the Rooftop.
Kaneki: you're just on time. Let's talk.
Kaneki then jumped down to properly talk to Yuuka.
Yuuka: hey... Kaneki how are you?
Kaneki: well... Been better? What about you? You look really different last time I saw you.
Yuuka: well it's kind of hard to explain I'll probably tell you another time...
It was really awkward for both of them since they both think one of them hates the other.
They weren't able to speak for a bit and then Kaneki spoke.
Kaneki: alright here we go.
Yuuka: Kaneki?
Kaneki: listen the reason why i called you here because i-
Kaneki suddenly stopped talking.
Yuuka: Kaneki?
Creak
Kaneki looked at the door that Yuuka used to go to the rooftop.
Kaneki: wait a minute, are you aware that our classmates followed you?
Yuuka: what?!
Behind the door*
Ryueki: what the?! How did he know?
???: shh! Ryueki-san you're too loud!
Itsuki: you idiot he definitely heard you!
Back at Kaneki and Yuuka*
Yuuka: I was followed?! I'm sorry! I didn't realize they were following me!
Kaneki made an annoyed face.
Kaneki: sigh~ it's alright though I really wanted our talk to be private so let's go somewhere more private shall we?
Yuuka: really? Where?
Kaneki: somewhere we're both familiar to.
Darkness then appeared on their feet.
Kaneki: alright let's go.
Everyone: wait where are they going?!
Yuuka: they really are here!
Kaneki: hold on tight. Darkness travel!
Kaneki then used darkness travel to send both of them somewhere more private.
Yuuka: Aww, where are we- wait isn't this?!
They were inside Akuma Castle's throne room.
Kaneki: yup, Akuma Castle's throne room.
Yuuka: how are you able to go here?!
Kaneki: have you forgotten? We've been here and since I used darkness travel here it was registered so I can go in and out of here as a please.
Yuuka: oh yeah! Haha~ I forgot.
Kaneki: Haa~ anyways again.
Kaneki bowed and started to apologize.
Kaneki: the reason I called you to talk is because I want to apologize.
Yuuka: ... Ehh?! Seriously?!
Kaneki: yeah, I'm sorry I slapped you in the face and I'm really really sorry for overreacting, I just really wanted to protect my best friends dream and I couldn't really handle all the stress of everything that happened.
Yuuka: wait raise your head! It's alright! Besides it was my fault as well anyways! If I told Heike to call the other Insect Familiars they might've went in and you would've handled it.
Kaneki: No, if I made sure to keep my emotions in check I wouldn't have gone crazy and slapped you.
Yuuka: No, if I had more trust in you, you wouldn't had suffered from the guilt of slapping me!
Kaneki: No if I just immediately used my Demonic curse when they first appeared then it would've saved us the trouble of fighting them.
Yuuka: Sigh~ you're gonna make sure I don't take responsibility right?
Kaneki: yes, so if you try to make reasons on why it's your fault I'll just keep pointing out my mistakes even make some up until you accept my apology.
Yuuka's eyes widened as she remembered a moment from the past.

Yuuki: Now tell me who really stole the cookies I made for Jin's birthday?

Kaneki: I did it! They just looked so good.
Yuuki: Don't bother lying Kaneki, I know you lie a lot so Yuuka and the girls wouldn't get blamed even though they did it.

Yuuka: Fufu~ HAHAHAHAHA~!
Kaneki: what the? Why are you laughing?
Yuuka: Haa~! It's nothing, anyways I accept your apology.
Kaneki: really?! You don't hate me?!
Yuuka: of course not, I actually thought you hated me.
Kaneki: well... I kinda did until I immediately realized that I messed up.
Yuuka: Hehe~ it's alright, at least you apologized. Anyways since it's still lunch time let's eat. I brought my Bento box with me just in case.
Kaneki: are you sure?
Yuuka: yup! C'mon let's sit down and eat!
Kaneki: sure... But is it fine for us to eat it here?
Yuuka: c'mon the Demon knights probably wouldn't mind.
Kaneki: okay I guess...
They both sat down and ate Yuuka's lunch together.
They both enjoyed eating until the last bite and when they finish the were supposed to leave and go back to school but.
Yuuka: alright, all cleaned up let's go- Kaneki?
Kaneki was staring the Crown but he didn't tried to touch it.
Yuuka got closer to Kaneki and asked him something.
Yuuka: you still want to get the Crown for Miyu-chan?
Kaneki: yes, but... I don't think I can since I used it.
Yuuka's thoughts*
(He still doesn't want to take it, what can I do? I know!)
Yuuka: I think you can still give it to her.
Kaneki: c'mon you're not Miyu-cha-
Yuuka: Neither are you.
Kaneki was surprised when Yuuka said that.
Yuuka: she's your best friend right? Just think about it, you and her found so many relics together and you guys probably experienced a lot of dangers.
Kaneki: yeah... Where are you getting at?
Yuuka: let me ask If Miyu-chan was here during the Clad of black wings attack and she saw your situation what would she have done?
Kaneki: !!!
Kaneki's eyes widened and he looked at Crown more.
Kaneki: she probably would've done the same...
Yuuka: yeah she definitely would do the same.
Doki!
Kaneki's Thoughts*
(What the?! It's the feeling again!)
Yuuka: you can still give her the Crown.
Kaneki then looked at Yuuka.
He was able to see her real face clearly.
He was completely stunned after seeing her real face.
Yuuka: You can give this Crown to her as a symbol of your friendship with her, and she'll definitely accept it.
Kaneki again looked at the Crown and smiled.
Kaneki: yeah, you're right.
Yuuka: so until Miyu-chan returns you should keep the Crown to yourself and keep it safe.
Kaneki: yeah, I guess that's alright.
Kaneki then reached for the Crown and picked it up.
Kaneki: for now this Crown is mine.
Yuuka: Yeah. Anyways let's go back to school now. After all you still have to do the training.
Kaneki: yup! And it's going to be a piece of cake.
Kaneki then prepared Darkness travel again.
Yuuka: Oh yeah, after school lets go to the arcade, I'll invite Natsuki.
Kaneki: fine with me. Anyways let's head back to school.
Yuuka: yeah.
Kaneki: Darkness travel!
They then returned to their classroom.
Meanwhile*
???: do you guys think Higanbana-kun and Yuuka-san reconciled?
Sachi: who knows? The only way they could reconcile is if they talk.
Ryueki: I don't think they reconciled, he looked really angry when he entered.
Shino: I just hope whatever happens is alright as long no one gets physically hurt.
Miku: same here. Whatever happens, happens.
Sachi: hey look!
Sachi pointed at the floor which was black.
Chikao: looks like they're coming back!
Chikao was right.
Yuuka: hey guys we're back!
Kaneki: I'm outta here, gotta prepare for training.
After coming back Kaneki immediately left to start training.
???: hey what happened?!
???: did you two get into a fight?!
Sachi blocked everyone who was try to get close to Yuuka.
Sachi: everyone calm down, let Mirai-san do th talking.
Yuuka: Hehe~ thanks.
Sachi: No probs 👍
Ryueki: so what happened?
Ryueki's thoughts*
(It's obvious, they never reconciled and now Higanbana and Mirai are both mob-)
Yuuka: we completely reconciled!
Everyone: really?!
Sachi: that's great! Good job!
???: that was surprising, he looked really mad when he came here.
Yuuka: well he must've felt awkward. Though I'm actually surprised you guys didn't noticed him wearing the Crown of Urizen.
Everyone: Huh?!
Yuuka looked out the window and pointed at Kaneki.
Yuuka: see.
Everyone else looked and they saw him wearing the Crown.
Everyone: NO WAY!
Everyone was surprised even the Relic expedition team.
Ryueki: wait how is he wearing that? I thought he only wants his best friend to wear it.
Yuuka: well, since his best friend isn't here yet I was able to convince him to take it and keep it until his best friend returns.
Natsuki: how were you able to do that?
Yuuka: that's a secret!
And so Kaneki and Yuuka have somewhat reconciled.
