Capítulo 32: Naruto's Plan
Naruto chuckled for a moment and suddenly burst into laughter.
"Hahahaha! You are certainly a joker, Tazuna. Do you really think Konoha is desperate for other countries' help? We indeed want help but we are not desperate."
"First and foremost, Konoha still has the second most powerful military force and will become first once I become the Perfect Jinchuriki."
"Second, Konoha still has the most resources among the Five Great Nations. We have fought all four countries including the Land of Rain in three Great Ninja Wars and still won all three."
"Although there would be no winner and loser in the war, we were still able to push back all four nations."
"I am not asking for this contract because we are desperate. I am asking for this contract so that we can make things easier for us. But on the other hand, your village will be a cake that everyone wants to get a piece of."
Hearing his words, Tazuna turned pale.
Indeed! They don't have any military forces. If they do get richer, other villages will definitely try to take over their business or even their land.
In that case, they could only rely on one of the Five Great Nations.
While they could make a relationship with the Land of Mist, the current situation is extremely fragile there. So, the only option for them is Konoha or Land of Fire.
But, something was still bothering him.
"If so, why should I make the contract with you? Can't I just make such a contract with the current Hokage?"
Naruto shook his head and said.
"Ninjas can't attack civilians in the broad daylight unless they have a mission. That means even Hokage can't help you become a Daimyo. Even I can't do that. But, I have an idea."
"While it is true that you can go and ask for our Hokage's help, do you really have the condition? Right now, your family is in danger, your land is in trouble and you are in a hurry to build the bridge."
"So, you can only ask us to kill Gato right now. Besides that, once Daimyo loses Gato's support, he will definitely be more alert and in that situation, Hokage can't make a move so easily."
"As for why am I making the contract with you? Well, I indeed want to become the Hokage but even if I become the Strongest Person in the village, with my identity, it would be hard."
"So, having an allied village speak for me would certainly give me a political boost to become the Hokage especially after I become the Hokage."
"What do you mean after you become the Hokage? And, when did becoming Hokage need so much politics." Kiba couldn't help but ask with confusion.
"You won't understand it even if I explain it. Don't think too much." Naruto patted his shoulder and looked at Tazuna who was deeply contemplating everything.
After a while, he nodded his head and said.
"If I agree, will you help me take care of Gato and the Daimyo?"
Naruto smiled and said.
"You don't have to worry about anything at all. We can discuss everything in detail once we reach your house."
With that, their teams marched toward Tazuna's house.
Surprisingly, they didn't get attacked even once in the entire journey.
It was three days later that they reached Tazuna's house.
After they meet up with his daughter Tsunami and his grandson Inari, they settle down.
While they were sitting down for dinner, Naruto looked at his team and Team Seven before asking.
"Since the contract is between me and Mr. Tazuna, I will do the mission solo. Of course, I am not going to fight anyone so you guys don't have to worry."
"Until then, I believe Mr. Hatake and Kurenai Sensei can protect Mr. Tazuna."
Kakashi wanted to reject but when he saw that Kurenai wasn't saying anything, he didn't interrupt either.
"Naruto, how are you going to solve this without fighting Gato's men?" Tazuna asked with confusion.
"I am not going to fight Gato's men or Gato. None of us or none of you will fight them. The ones fighting them will be someone else."
He had a cunning smile on his face when he said that.
"You are not making any sense, Naruto." Kiba crossed his arms in front of his chest and spoke.
"Yeah, if we are not going to fight them, then who will?" Sakura also asked with a confused expression.
Shikamaru was wrapping his brain around for explanation until he suddenly remembered something and asked.
"You know a secret of Land of Mist, don't you?"
Naruto looked at him with surprise and nodded.
"I can't believe you understood without me giving any hints."
"It wasn't simple. I had been thinking about every possibility that you would take against Gato and only now I came up with the conclusion. But, what kind of secret would make them fight for us?"
"Kage Level Secret! That's all I can say. It took me nearly ten days and two hundred shadow clones to find this secret. So, you have to wait until I properly plan everything."
Naruto answered with a big grin on his face.
His words startled everyone. Kage Level Secret simply meant it was related to their Kage.
So, it was even hard for them to accept that Naruto would know such a high-level secret.
"How do you exactly know such a high-level secret, Naruto? Especially in just ten days." Kakashi asked with narrowed eyes.
"If you don't have a clue then it would be impossible to find out but if you do, it only takes a little more effort." Naruto answered without giving an exact answer.
Then, he stood up and looked at Tazuna.
"Anyway, I will be finishing the contract and the exact plan after a certain condition is fulfilled. So, until then you have to wait if it's alright with you?"
"No problem!" Tazuna nodded his head.
"Dad, what contract are you talking about?" Tsunami looked at her with confusion and asked.
"A contract take will help us free from Gato and change the situation of our land completely." Tazuna chuckled as he answered.
While he said that, Sakura looked at Kakashi and asked.
"Kakashi-sensei, is it really okay to let Naruto do whatever he wants to do?"
Kakashi looked at Kurenai with questioning.
She sighed for a moment and said.
"I can't believe I am saying this but I trust Naruto with his decisions. During our last mission, we faced Han from the Village Hidden in the Stone. While I froze due to fear, Naruto took the lead and controlled the situation."
"A situation where Jinchuriki lost his control. If he hadn't done that, even if we had survived, Village Hidden in the Stone would've declared war due to the death of their Kage's granddaughter."
Everyone widened their eyes upon that revelation.
"Are you serious? How did you fall into such a situation?"
Hearing his words, Shikamaru suddenly raised his head from the table and spoke.
"Kurenai-sensei, let me explain before they make any wrong assumptions about Naruto."
Kurenai nodded her head as he continued.
"When we were returning from that mission, we encountered Han's Genin Team, a team that hated. In case their Jonin Teacher wasn't Han who hated humans, they would've attacked us."
"So, out of their consideration for letting us live, Naruto warned them about a certain danger that he learned from the fox. But that danger was too much for Five Tails."
"A danger that even made a Tailed Beast scared. So, it lost its mind and its Chakra overflowed making it harder for Han to control it. Normally, we could've left but in case Han totally loses control, Five Tails could've come after us."
"And even more so, it would've killed the Genin among which was the granddaughter of Third Tsuchikage. So, when that happened, Naruto made the right call to hold down Han."
"And because of Naruto, we managed to help Han get control over his Chakra and nobody died. So, Kurenai-sensei, Hinata, and I believe what Naruto is doing is something he has considered several times."
"In fact, I have an idea about his plan but I won't tell you that now. And, Kakashi-san!"
Shikamaru's eyes turned sharp as he looked at Kakashi and continued.
"Naruto and many of Konoha's people lost their important people due to the Nine Tails attack and it happened only because of a Uchiha. So, he might have some hatred against Uchiha."
"But, I hope you can understand that he won't try anything against you and Sasuke. So, don't try offense about what he said earlier."
Kakashi took a deep breath and gave them an eye smile.
"It's okay. I don't care about what he said. I was only worried that he might do something that would bite him back hard. But seeing you guys having so much confidence in him, I will believe in him."
