Capítulo 27: Let the tournament commence!!
Three hours after arriving at the first division,the tournament finally officially started.
The representatives of 16 divisions walked into the arena as the crowd cheered loudly,this was a relatively big event.
Due to the lack of entertainment in the Shinobi world,events like this are extremely popular with the people.
Many civilians from nearby towns and villages gathered here to witness intense battles between young samurai geniuses with great excitement.
The arena was built like a colosseum with tall crowd stands circling the arena platform; on the crowd stands,there's a separate platform where the general and the division captains sit.
As the crowd continued to cheer,Hozuki's heart was beating quickly from the excitement while Kuki just stood there feeling nostalgic.
'I miss this feeling!' Kuki inwardly thought while his face showed a small smile.
Abruptly,general Mifune stood up causing the crowd to immediately silence themselves.
"Young warriors of the land of iron,today you shall show the world your might as a samurai,don't forget to do your best"Mifune said in a calm demeanor.
"Let the tournament commence!"Mifune said, which caused the crowd to shudder as the participants' eyes burned with passion.
The participants slowly went back to their respective seats as the referee announced the first matchup.
"First match: the 19th division vs the 12th division"
Hearing themselves being called up,Kuki grinned as he was itching to fight and Hozuki was shuddering in anxiety.
"Cmon Hozuki, don't get cold feet now!"Kuki said as he patted Hozuki in the back, pushing him forward.
"You're right Kuki,let's give them a show they won't forget ,shall we?"Hozuki snapped back to his senses, turned his head back and smiled at Kuki.
Because of Hozuki's hesitation,their opponents,the 12th division had already arrived first,they were a pair of identically looking samurai with brown hair and mediocre stature.Seeing the two,the announcer hastily introduced them.
"These are the representatives of the 12th division,everyone welcomes the Kaito twins!While they're only 17 years old,both of them are geniuses in kenjustu,coupling with their insane teamwork,these two are a force to be reckoned with!!"hearing the announcer's enthusiastic introduction the crowd went wild.
Just as soon as he finished,Hozuki and Kuki stepped onto the arena platform causing the crowd to gasp in surprise.
"Aren't those two too young to be samurais?!?!" "That kid with bandages around his face looks creepy!" "Did they get lost?!?" These are the things that most of the crowd were thinking at that moment.
Isane was smiling helpless while sitting next to general Mifune thinking 'haiz,Hozuki and Kuki are too monstrous for the twins to handle'
"Those subordinates of yours are pretty intriguing Isane"Mifune suddenly turned to Isane and said, causing Isane to sigh.
The announcer,who was shocked upon reading the 19th division's representatives' info,started to introduce them with great enthusiasm:
"And the twin's opponent,the 19th division's two prodigy!Hozuki Uzumaki,a young 14 year old samurai that possesses huge chakra reserves and his partner,Kuki Uragiru the youngest current official samurai in the land of iron at 6 years old!Please welcome the 19th division!"
Upon hearing Kuki's ridiculous accomplishment the crowd went silent once more as everyone,including the samurais were dumbfounded.
"The 12th division vs the 19th division,start!!"
