Chapter 78: Ashes of Heaven and Earth!
As Uchiha Yi activated the full awakening of his Devil Fruit abilities, he underwent a transformation that felt like a leap into a higher realm of existence.
His entire being exuded an aura of nobility, perfection, and overwhelming power.
Merely standing there, the heat radiating from him made it impossible for ordinary people to approach. This was the most immediate and visceral impression he gave to everyone present.
---
"Whoosh!"
A kunai flew toward him, and in an instant, it was replaced by Tobirama Senju's figure.
Tobirama appeared just inches away from Uchiha Yi, his face stern and determined as he lunged with a kunai aimed at his heart. His speed was so blindingly fast that it was nearly impossible to react in time.
But Uchiha Yi only smirked, tilting his head slightly.
"Sigh of Flames."
With a light exhale, a stream of golden flames erupted from Yi's mouth, colliding with Tobirama.
Tobirama, confident in the regenerative properties of his Impure World Reincarnation, made no attempt to dodge. He continued his assault without hesitation.
But the next moment left Tobirama stunned.
As the golden flames touched him, they didn't burn him outright but instead dissolved his body into ash-like particles. His kunai melted into a puddle of molten metal in his hand.
---
"Flame Fist!"
Before Tobirama could react, a massive flaming fist smashed into his face, shattering his body like brittle clay. The impact left a fiery trail behind him, engulfing the area in an inferno.
Seeing the dire situation, Orochimaru quickly fled the scene, abandoning any plans to gather intelligence with his summoned snakes.
The intensity of the flames was so overwhelming that no living creature could survive in their proximity.
---
As Tobirama's shattered body slowly began to regenerate, Uchiha Yi prepared to press his advantage and finish him off.
But before he could, Hashirama Senju, who had remained passive until now, decided to intervene.
"Wood Style: Wood Golem Jutsu!"
Realizing his brother was outmatched, Hashirama clapped his hands together, channeling an immense amount of chakra into the surrounding trees.
Within moments, a colossal wooden golem took form, towering over everything around it.
Compared to its massive size, even Uchiha Yi appeared insignificant.
The golem wasted no time, raising its enormous hand to strike down on Yi like a falling mountain.
---
However, Uchiha Yi showed no sign of panic.
"Flame Fist!"
Channeling the golden flames into his fist, he launched a concentrated attack at the incoming hand.
The collision caused an explosive eruption of fire and wood. The golem's entire arm, followed by its body, was consumed by the golden flames and reduced to ashes in mere seconds.
---
"Hahaha!"
Despite his loss, Hashirama laughed heartily.
"This Uchiha is truly impressive!"
Even in his weakened reincarnated state, he couldn't help but admire someone who could stand against his wood-style techniques—a feat only his old rival Madara had ever accomplished.
---
"Brother, take this seriously!" Tobirama snapped, his face twisted in frustration as his body finished regenerating.
"This kid isn't someone to be underestimated!"
But Uchiha Yi had no interest in prolonging the fight.
"Ashes of Heaven and Earth!"
With both hands, he summoned two concentrated orbs of golden flames, their intensity causing the ground beneath him to crack and smolder.
Pressing the orbs into the ground, the flames seeped into the earth and disappeared.
For a moment, there was silence.
Then, the ground began to tremble violently.
---
Suddenly, massive pillars of fire erupted from the earth, stretching into the sky and forming a network of blazing columns that connected heaven and earth.
The entire area transformed into a sea of fire, an apocalyptic inferno that consumed everything in its path.
---
Tobirama's body began to dry and crack as the flames drained every ounce of moisture from his Impure World Reincarnation vessel.
His once-regenerating body now crumbled like a dried husk.
"Brother… we've done all we can. It's up to the next generation now," Hashirama said with a heavy sigh, sensing the inevitable.
Restricted by the limitations of their reincarnated bodies, they could no longer fight at full strength. Against someone like Uchiha Yi, this was the best they could do.
"This damned Uchiha brat…" Tobirama growled, his voice filled with bitterness and frustration as his body disintegrated.
Soon, both brothers' bodies collapsed into piles of ash and dust, their spirits seemingly departing from the battlefield.
---
"Hmm?"
Uchiha Yi frowned as he noticed something strange.
"Why didn't the system collect their souls?"
Checking the system interface, he saw no change in the soul count.
This puzzled him. According to the system, their souls should have been harvested upon their defeat.
After asking the system for clarification, he received an unsettling answer:
"External interference prevented soul collection."
---
"External interference?" Uchiha Yi muttered, his expression darkening.
Could it be the Sage of Six Paths?
He couldn't think of anyone else with the power to manipulate souls on such a level.
The fact that the Sage hadn't directly intervened against him likely meant one thing—Naruto and Sasuke were still alive.
---
With that realization, Yi knew he couldn't kill Sasuke or Naruto, even if he wanted to.
The Sage wouldn't allow the reincarnations of Indra and Ashura to perish, especially with the looming threat of Kaguya's resurrection.
Without their power, the ninja world would be defenseless against her return.
For now, Uchiha Yi decided to tread carefully. His plans would have to account for the Sage's watchful eye.

Chapter 79: Destroying Clans as My Ninja Way!
With the departure of the Senju brothers, the once-vibrant Konoha was left in ruins. Due to the awakened abilities of the Flame-Flame Fruit, the area had turned into an inhospitable wasteland.
The lingering flames, evaporated water, and scorched earth ensured that nothing would grow there for a long time.
This was the long-lasting environmental impact of his awakened powers. Restoring the area would take immense time and effort—unless someone like Hashirama or Yamato came back to plant trees.
But all of that was no longer Uchiha Yi's concern. His goals had essentially been achieved.
Of course, the result wasn't perfect. In the final moments, Sarutobi Hiruzen and some others managed to escape.
However, this was a minor issue. He'd leave it to Black Zetsu to track them down and clean up the remnants.
After all, when Uchiha Yi declared he would destroy their clans, he wasn't making empty threats.
---
"Black Zetsu, are you there?"
Uchiha Yi called into the air.
The uncanny sound of shifting earth followed, and a figure wrapped in a Venus flytrap emerged. A face split into black and white appeared before him.
As Black Zetsu gazed at Uchiha Yi, his emotions were conflicted.
The sheer power Yi had displayed left him unsure if he could control this wildcard. The worst-case scenario was that Yi might become a major obstacle to the Moon's Eye Plan.
But for now, he decided to keep observing. After all, Yi's hatred for Konoha aligned with his goals for the time being.
---
"What do you need?" Black Zetsu asked.
"I want to know the whereabouts of Sarutobi Hiruzen, Danzo Shimura, and their remaining allies," Uchiha Yi said bluntly.
"Let White Zetsu take you to them," Black Zetsu replied without hesitation.
Soon, a White Zetsu clone attached itself to Uchiha Yi. Using its Hiding in Ash and Dust Jutsu, it led him to the survivors' location.
---
The two arrived at a secret underground base outside Konoha—a facility Danzo Shimura had built for conducting human experiments.
"Sigh… Konoha is finished."
Before even entering, Uchiha Yi could hear Sarutobi Hiruzen's weary sigh from inside.
Sensing someone approaching, Sarutobi turned to see Uchiha Yi. Surprisingly, his face showed no fear or shock.
From what Orochimaru had told him, not even the combined might of the First and Second Hokage could defeat Yi. Sarutobi knew that Yi finding him was inevitable.
The aged Hokage had already accepted his fate.
"I've made preparations for the remaining survivors of Konoha. They've been scattered across the ninja world. If they can't be found immediately, they might still have a chance to live," Sarutobi muttered to himself.
Then, he raised his head to look at Yi.
"Before I die, can I at least know your name?"
"What's the point of knowing it now?" Uchiha Yi responded coldly, pausing for a moment to hear what Sarutobi might have to say.
"It's meaningless, I know," Sarutobi admitted with a bitter smile. "I'm just curious."
Yi smirked disdainfully.
"Light the fire."
Without wasting another moment, Yi unleashed his Flame Activation technique.
This undying flame consumed Sarutobi's body, burning at over a thousand degrees.
Even as a former Kage, Sarutobi's mortal body couldn't withstand the flames for more than five seconds. In the end, he was reduced to a pile of charred bones.
---
As the system logged Sarutobi's soul points, Yi knew the old Hokage was finally, irrevocably dead. Not even the Impure World Reincarnation could bring him back.
Yi continued his hunt under White Zetsu's guidance, locating Danzo Shimura, Koharu Utatane, and Homura Mitokado.
Danzo put up some resistance, but the other two fell easily. Their souls were added to Yi's growing tally.
Finally, Yi tracked down the remaining survivors of the Sarutobi and Shimura clans.
The Uchiha's long-awaited revenge concluded with the complete annihilation of these clans—a fitting end to their decades of enmity.
---
But this victory didn't bring peace of mind.
When Yi thought of the Otsutsuki clan's "family reunion" in the future—along with the so-called Otsutsuki God—he couldn't shake a growing sense of urgency.
While the Otsutsuki clan itself was formidable, Yi believed he had the means to deal with them.
However, the Otsutsuki God, as described in Boruto's lore, was an entirely different threat.
The entity had devoured countless planets to evolve into its ultimate form.
Compared to such a being, even the entire ninja world might only provide the energy of a single planet—a mere fraction of the Otsutsuki God's power.
No matter how Yi strategized, he couldn't see a way to win against such an opponent.
---
Even with the system granting him unparalleled abilities, the ninja world was ultimately too small. Its limited resources would inevitably cap his growth.
Without sufficient resources, even the most potent abilities would become meaningless.
"So, where can I find the resources I need?"
Yi muttered to himself as he contemplated his next move.
