Chapter 10: Slaying Konohamaru! Uchiha's Revenge!
---
"Haha, do you think you can let your guard down now that the Uchiha threat is gone?!"
Appearing in the Sarutobi clan grounds using his Fire Release teleportation technique, Uchiha Yi finally spotted Konohamaru Sarutobi and Asuma Sarutobi. However, he didn't reveal himself immediately.
After carefully observing for a long time, Yi confirmed that only one Special Jonin was guarding Konohamaru. This was an ideal opportunity.
Compared to the Jonin-level Asuma, Konohamaru was clearly the easier target.
"Out of the fire!"
Waiting until Konohamaru approached a lit candle, Uchiha Yi decisively emerged from the flames. The next second, his short blade slashed toward Konohamaru's neck.
The three- to four-year-old Konohamaru and the unsuspecting Special Jonin guardian never anticipated such a sudden attack.
Slash!
In a flash of steel, Konohamaru's head separated cleanly from his body, death coming instantly and painlessly.
The moment Konohamaru was slain, an overwhelming emotion surged through Yi, focusing entirely on his eyes. His pupils began spinning like pinwheels, transforming into the iconic three-tomoe Sharingan!
The evolution from two tomoe to three was surprisingly simple.
Yi understood that this result stemmed from the intense resentment left behind by the original consciousness of his body. If it were just his own emotions—detached from this world—he wouldn't even have awakened a single tomoe.
"It seems I'm not done yet."
His heart hardened by life's trials, Yi was now entirely indifferent. Killing for the first time didn't stir even a flicker of guilt or discomfort within him.
He was only slightly disappointed that this act hadn't pushed his Sharingan into the Mangekyo stage. A missed opportunity.
"Argh!"
"You bastard!"
The Special Jonin assigned to guard Konohamaru was horrified to see the boy's lifeless body. His scalp tingled, a cold sweat forming instantly.
Konohamaru was his responsibility—Sarutobi Hiruzen's cherished grandson! The implications of this failure were unthinkable. His career, his life—it was all over.
Fury overtook him, his veins bulging with rage as he charged at Uchiha Yi, seeking to avenge Konohamaru. But Yi only sneered coldly, the crimson glow of his three-tomoe Sharingan shining ominously.
"Now's not the time to play with you."
Snatching Konohamaru's lifeless body, Yi invoked Fire Escape, disappearing before the Special Jonin could land a blow. He had no interest in wasting time on this minor figure.
The mission was far from over.
A Fractured Leaf Village
Back at the Sarutobi residence, chaos erupted.
The Special Jonin, knowing his failure would lead to execution or worse, decided to flee the village before the truth came to light. "No way I'm reporting this," he thought grimly as he sped toward the gates, praying for survival.
Meanwhile, Yi arrived in the heart of Konoha, the bustling central district.
The village had seemingly moved on from the panic caused by the Uchiha massacre. The streets were alive with chatter, stalls, and a veneer of peace.
Yi, however, wasn't fooled by this facade. He knew the darkness that lingered beneath the surface, and he was about to bring it into the light.
Not far away, Sasuke Uchiha, the sole survivor of his clan, trudged listlessly out of the Uchiha compound. Days of grief and hunger had pushed him to the brink, but he refused to succumb. His heart, filled with icy resolve, burned with a singular purpose: revenge.
"Hey, Sasuke! Are you okay? Iruka-sensei told us you haven't been feeling well!"
Naruto Uzumaki, alongside other classmates, called out to him, faces filled with genuine concern. Yet Sasuke couldn't bear to show any vulnerability. His icy tone cut through the air.
"Leave me alone."
Brushing past them, Sasuke ignored their protests. Behind him, Sakura Haruno and others watched helplessly, unsure how to respond.
"Troublesome," muttered Shikamaru Nara, shaking his head at the situation.
"Look over there!" Kiba Inuzuka's voice suddenly broke the tension, tinged with fear. Everyone turned their heads, following his gaze.
The Spectacle of Blood
A cloaked and masked figure walked calmly through the heart of Konoha, carrying a severed head in one hand and a headless corpse in the other.
The grisly sight froze the village in its tracks. Civilians gasped, some screaming, while others scattered in terror. Children stared wide-eyed, paralyzed with fear.
Even Sasuke, still within earshot, turned to look. The horrifying scene brought back the memories of his clan's slaughter, further igniting his deep-seated hatred.
A crowd quickly gathered, curiosity mingling with dread. Dark whispers spread like wildfire.
Yi smirked under his mask. This was the spectacle he had planned. The entire village needed to witness this act of vengeance.
Konoha's ANBU finally arrived, their faces pale as they recognized the corpse.
"That's… the Hokage's grandson, Konohamaru?"
"This can't be happening. Who did this?"
"Who is this guy?"
They surrounded the masked figure, their weapons drawn, trying to contain the panic. Some were dispatched to alert Sarutobi Hiruzen, while others scrambled to clear the area of civilians.
It wasn't long before Hiruzen himself, accompanied by Danzo Shimura and other high-ranking officials, arrived on the scene.
The Third Hokage froze at the sight of Konohamaru's lifeless body. His weathered face twisted with grief and fury. He was no longer the composed leader the villagers revered.
The Message of Revenge
"Who are you? What is the meaning of this?" Hiruzen's voice trembled with suppressed rage as he addressed the masked figure.
Yi chuckled coldly, activating his Sharingan for all to see. The scarlet glow sent waves of shock through the crowd.
"I'm surprised, Hokage-sama. Have you already forgotten the Uchiha? Did you think you could exterminate my clan and escape unscathed?"
"What?! An Uchiha survivor? But that's impossible!" The murmurs of disbelief swept through the crowd, though a few exchanged knowing glances, their suspicions about the massacre bubbling to the surface.
"Enough talk. What do you want?" Hiruzen demanded, his voice firm despite the turmoil in his heart.
Yi's voice dropped to a venomous whisper. "Revenge. On the Sarutobi clan. On the Shimura clan. On every coward who participated in the Uchiha massacre. Your precious grandson, Konohamaru, is just the beginning."
The villagers recoiled in shock. Even Hiruzen's closest allies felt a chill as they looked into Yi's spinning Sharingan.
"Repent. Fear. Suffer. Then die. I'll send every last one of you to hell."
With that, Yi hurled Konohamaru's body at the Hokage's feet.

Chapter 11: Diss You! Hiruzen Sarutobi!
---
What is true revenge?
In the original story, Uchiha Sasuke kept shouting about killing "that man" for revenge.
But when he learned the truth, he merely killed Danzo Shimura and then let it all go.
Honestly, Uchiha Yi felt it was way too light!
That was child's play—not true revenge.
What Yi planned was different.
As he declared earlier, he wouldn't spare anyone related to those "enemies"—whether it was their family, their relatives, or even their dogs. Not one would be left behind!
Now, saying this in front of so many people planted a seed of fear and unease in their hearts.
They didn't know when this avenger of the Uchiha would come for them to take their lives.
Unless they could completely kill him first.
Realizing this, the surrounding elite Leaf ninjas—all top-tier fighters—instinctively readied their weapons.
All they needed was Hiruzen Sarutobi's nod, and they would act immediately!
"Heh."
"This is just one of my Shadow Clones!"
"Your thoughts of stopping me here? Meaningless!"
"In the coming days, we'll play this game of revenge. Slowly."
"Let's see who falls first—you people or me!"
"Of course, anyone uninvolved in the Uchiha Massacre isn't on my kill list!"
"But if you dare obstruct my revenge?"
"Then don't blame me for what happens next!"
"Alright, I've said my piece. And now..."
Just as Yi was about to dispel his Shadow Clone, a small figure rushed out, ignoring all attempts to stop him.
"What did you mean by what you just said?"
"Wasn't the Uchiha Massacre done by Itachi Uchiha?"
Sasuke, who had overheard the conversation from afar, could no longer suppress his confusion and doubts. Gasping, he ran up, desperate for answers.
"Enough!"
"Self-proclaimed Uchiha Avenger!"
"I don't know what rumors you've been listening to," Hiruzen Sarutobi suddenly interjected, breaking his silence.
"As the Third Hokage of the Leaf, I must solemnly state that the Uchiha Massacre was carried out solely by Itachi Uchiha!"
"I deeply regret my failure to prevent such a tragedy when I learned of it."
"If you believe I bear some responsibility..."
"Then come at me. Don't involve innocent people!"
"If killing me, the Hokage, can quell your hatred, then do it!"
Before Yi could respond to Sasuke, Hiruzen's carefully crafted statement left his lips.
His words were artful.
While shifting blame, he also showcased the Hokage's sense of responsibility, turning defense into offense.
To everyone present, Hiruzen's words made him appear innocent and honorable.
Doubts stirred by Yi's earlier words began to dissipate.
The crowd instinctively sided with Hiruzen Sarutobi.
What a sly old fox!
"Hahaha!"
The madness of the Uchiha surged forth. Uchiha Yi stepped fully into his role.
"Hiruzen Sarutobi, I'll call you the most hypocritical Hokage of all time!"
"With just a few words, you absolve yourself of all responsibility?"
"You think I'm a fool? Or that everyone here is?"
"The Uchiha Clan—the strongest family since the Warring States era!"
"And you're telling me Itachi alone killed such a powerful clan without leaving anyone behind?"
"In the heart of the Leaf Village, no less!"
"Didn't their struggles make any noise?"
"Were all the Uchiha kneeling, just waiting for Itachi to execute them?"
"Did the ANBU units monitoring the Uchiha all fall under a genjutsu?"
"You, the Hokage who controls everything in the village, claim complete ignorance?"
"And after the Uchiha were wiped out, you conveniently stepped out to express a bit of 'regret' and say a few comforting words to fools?"
"You think anyone will believe you had no part in the Uchiha Massacre?"
"Stop playing the victim, Hiruzen!"
"Don't deceive yourself along with everyone else!"
"You're the mastermind behind the Uchiha's demise!"
Yi's words poured out in a torrent, born from both his knowledge as a transmigrator and the oppressive month he had spent in the Uchiha's shoes.
For an entire month, he endured whispers, malicious stares, and unspoken hostility.
At times, he wanted nothing more than to pick up a brick and bash those hateful gazes into silence.
But back then, lacking strength, he had to endure it all silently.
Now, venting his frustrations in such a manner was immensely satisfying.
Could it be true?
As Yi peeled back Hiruzen Sarutobi's hypocritical facade, many began to reconsider the details of the Uchiha Massacre.
The deeper they delved, the more they felt a chill in their hearts.
Could their seemingly benevolent Hokage be a devil in disguise?
The crowd's opinion shifted once more, and many began regarding Hiruzen with suspicion.
"Avenger of the Uchiha, no matter what you say, it's still just your side of the story."
"Justice lies in the hearts of the people!"
"I hope you reflect on your hatred and don't let it consume your future."
Hiruzen's response was tactful, brushing off Yi's accusations with a tone of admonishment.
"Shut up, old man!"
"Justice in the hearts of the people? Don't make me laugh!"
"You think the Uchiha Massacre was the only thing you orchestrated?"
"Let me jog your memory. What about the death of Konoha's White Fang?"
Hearing this, Kakashi froze behind his ANBU mask.
Could his father's suicide be linked to Hiruzen?
Yi's words about the Uchiha had already cast doubt on Hiruzen's defense. Now, even Kakashi couldn't help but suspect him.
"And what about Hyuga Hizashi's death? Care to explain that?"
"Were you planning to wipe out the Hyuga Clan too, just like the Uchiha?"
Yi's words reopened old wounds for Hiashi Hyuga, and the possibility that the Leaf higher-ups had planned to target his clan filled him with cold sweat.
"Oh, and speaking of clans wiped out... Can you explain how the Senju Clan dwindled until only Tsunade remains?"
"And what about the Uzumaki Clan—relatives of the First Hokage? How did they meet their end?"
"Care to explain, Third Hokage?"
"Why is it that every powerful family connected to the Leaf ends up wiped out? Yet small clans like yours, the Sarutobi and Shimura, keep rising?"
"Still want to call that a coincidence?"
"When something happens once, it's an accident. Twice, it's suspicious. Three, four, or five times? That's no accident; that's intent!"
"And that little blond kid over there—he's the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki, right?"
"He—"
"Enough!"
Yi's accusations stabbed straight into Hiruzen's heart, leaving him breathless.
When he mentioned Naruto, Hiruzen finally snapped, shouting to silence him.
But his reaction only made him look guiltier.
Covering one's ears wouldn't make the truth go away.
Yi smirked. Exposing Naruto's secret wasn't necessary—for now, it could wait.
With his Fire Release Techniques, the Leaf's defenses were meaningless. He could come and go as he pleased, choosing the perfect time to reveal Naruto's lineage.
For now, the seeds of discord he'd sown were enough to keep the Leaf occupied.
"Think carefully about how you'll protect your loved ones, old man."
"Or maybe you'll pull an Itachi and kill them all yourself?"
"Otherwise, if I act, they might suffer."
"Hahaha!"
With a loud laugh, Yi dispelled his Shadow Clone, leaving behind a crowd of Leaf ninjas and villagers with conflicted hearts.
