Capítulo 24: Hinata

Accompanied by the shout, a figure hurriedly appeared, running through the snow.

It was Naruto.

Due to the winter season, his clothing had changed slightly. He now wore a black shirt under a thick jacket, with a red scarf wrapped around his neck.

But, as always, he still wore shorts…

He arrived so quickly that he almost tripped along the way.

"K-Kuro! This isn't right!…"

Naruto stopped in front of him, panting heavily as he tried to catch his breath.

Kuro looked at him but didn't stop moving.

He continued his push-ups, letting the sweat slide down his torso, melting some of the snow beneath him.

Although Kuro didn't seek out Naruto, the latter often came looking for him.

To Naruto, Kuro was his only friend—someone he could talk to about anything.

Once Naruto had caught his breath, he finally spoke.

"Kuro, come with me! Someone's being bullied nearby!"

Kuro raised an eyebrow, looking at him curiously but without stopping his workout.

"So?"

Naruto stared at him, confused.

"What do you mean, 'so'?! Someone's being picked on!"

Kuro sighed, pausing for a moment to fix his eyes on Naruto.

"How many times have we talked about this? You know I don't help people without a good reason."

Naruto frowned. "But last time, you helped me in the street!"

"That was different."

"How was that different?"

"That was an accident. If the person being bullied doesn't stand up for themselves, even if you help them today, it'll only get worse next time."

Naruto stood in stunned silence, unable to process Kuro's response.

"But… but that's not fair."

His childlike mind couldn't fully grasp Kuro's logic.

To him, if someone was being bullied, they should be helped.

Kuro looked at him again as he did another push-up.

"Naruto, in this world, there will always be people being bullied. You can't be everywhere. If someone wants to stop being a victim, they need to learn to defend themselves."

Naruto listened intently, trying to absorb Kuro's words.

"Oh… I get it." He crossed his arms and nodded confidently. "I understand completely."

Liar!

Kuro rolled his eyes and continued his routine.

However, Naruto wasn't ready to give up.

"Even if you're right, I still can't ignore it! So, Kuro, come with me."

"If it bothers you so much, go yourself. I don't see why it's my problem."

"There are too many! I can't handle them on my own."

"Then why get involved if you can't win?"

Naruto puffed out his cheeks. "Because I want to be Hokage someday! If I can help in a critical moment, I'll earn people's approval!"

Kuro let out a deep sigh, stopping for a moment.

"Naruto, a weakling like you can't become Hokage."

"That's now! But someday, I'll be stronger."

"…"

"What? Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Nothing."

Despite his reluctance, Naruto managed to drag Kuro to the scene.

---

The incident was happening in a small park not far from the training ground.

When they arrived, they saw three kids surrounding a small girl about their age.

The largest of the boys, a chubby one, sneered maliciously. "You're one of those Hyuga with the Byakugan, huh?"

"Your eyes are creepy…"

"Yeah, a Byakugan freak…"

The girl in question, with short dark violet hair and completely white eyes, looked fragile, like a porcelain doll.

Her expression was weak, and her large eyes began to fill with tears as she listened to their cruel words.

"...."

The moment he saw the girl, Kuro froze.

Is this the bullying incident?

Is this the moment where everyone who comes to this world takes the opportunity to get close to Hinata and make her their future wife?

For a moment, he didn't know what to do.

This event was a key turning point in Naruto's life. If he intervened too quickly, he might irreversibly alter the future, possibly even changing who Naruto's wife would be.

Yes, this small, bullied girl was Hinata Hyuga.

In his previous life, while watching the anime, Kuro had also fantasized about coming to this world, winning over the female characters, and building a harem.

But now… he didn't know why those thoughts felt so distant.

Maybe it was because he now saw people for who they really were—individuals with their own lives, not characters in a story.

While Kuro hesitated, Naruto shouted and ran toward the kids. In a moment akin to his canonical event, he ended up getting beaten.

Although he managed to land a few punches, the older kids quickly overpowered him, leaving him bruised and mocked.

Kuro watched the scene, the corners of his mouth twitching slightly.

So why did you drag me here in the first place?

With that thought, he let out a sigh.

Without saying another word, he disappeared from his spot and reappeared next to the bullies in the blink of an eye.

The kids froze in shock at his sudden appearance, but before they could react, Kuro delivered three quick, solid punches.

One by one, the kids clutched their chests and fell to the ground, sitting breathless.

Kuro looked at them coldly and spoke calmly. "Is bullying others fun?"

"N-No! It's not fun!"

Kuro's indifferent expression made the three tremble with fear.

"Then leave. And if I see you picking on someone again… it'll be worse."

Without waiting for him to repeat the threat, the three kids scrambled to their feet and ran off, crying and shouting.

"Mom! Someone bullied us!"

Kuro watched them go, a vein twitching in his temple.

Why do I feel like I'm the bully now?

"Th-Thank you so much…" A soft, timid voice broke his thoughts.

He turned and saw Hinata standing next to Naruto, looking at him with a mix of gratitude and shyness.

When she noticed Kuro looking at her, she quickly lowered her head, her face turning bright red.

Kuro observed her silently, feeling a slight headache.

What did I do wrong now?

"I'm fine," Naruto said, patting his chest with a confident smile.

But his expression quickly changed from pain, and he let out a small whimper.

Hinata noticed and stepped closer, concerned.

"Are you really okay?"

"Of course!" Naruto replied, trying to sound convincing. "But you, if this happens again, you need to find the courage to stand up for yourself, okay?"

Hinata slowly raised her eyes, looking at Naruto with admiration in her pure white eyes. After a moment, she nodded shyly. "…Okay."

Naruto smiled, satisfied, then turned to Kuro.

"Well, it's all sorted. Let's go!"

"Wait a moment," Kuro said, raising a hand to stop them before walking over.

To be precise, he stopped in front of Hinata.

"What's wrong?" Naruto asked curiously.

Hinata took a timid step back.

"Nothing serious." Kuro stopped in front of her. "It's just that you have something in your hair. Let me get it for you."

Before Hinata could react, Kuro reached out and plucked a strand of hair from her head.

"Ow!" Hinata let out a small yelp of surprise and pain, but before she could say anything, Kuro pulled out another strand.

"All done." Kuro turned back to Naruto. "Now we can go."

Naruto followed without much thought, while Hinata remained where she was, touching her head with tears welling in her eyes.

She wanted to cry but didn't dare let it out.
