Chapter :35- internal processor

Naruto stood before Hiruzen Sarutobi, who had just handed him the scroll to learn the Shadow Clone Jutsu. Hiruzen's face displayed a mixture of curiosity and surprise. Despite his years of experience, he hadn't expected Naruto to catch on so quickly.

"I knew you were talented, Naruto," Hiruzen said with a smile, "but you continue to amaze me. The way you handle chakra is beyond your years."

Naruto grinned sheepishly, scratching the back of his head. Little did Hiruzen know, this was far from the first time Naruto had practiced the Shadow Clone Jutsu. For months, Naruto had secretly trained with it, honing his skills in the privacy of the Sarutobi clan's forest, away from prying eyes.

"Thank you, Old Man," Naruto replied with a chuckle. "I've been working hard."

Hiruzen chuckled too, unaware that Naruto was downplaying his mastery. He handed Naruto a small piece of paper.

"Before I forget," Hiruzen said, "Tomorrow is Hinata Hyuga's birthday. You'll be attending as a guest of the Sarutobi clan, so be sure to prepare yourself. It's a formal event."

Naruto blinked in surprise. "Hinata's birthday is tomorrow?"

Hiruzen nodded. "Yes, and I'm sure she'll be happy to see you there. You'll be accompanying me."

Naruto smiled, but inside, he was more nervous than he let on. The thought of going to a formal event, may be it is the day when kumo will try to kidnap her or hanabi

He controlled his emotions and said

"Okay, I'll be ready," he said.

With that settled, Naruto's focus returned to the Shadow Clone Jutsu. In one swift motion, he formed the hand seal and created ten clones. Hiruzen's eyes widened slightly at how effortlessly Naruto summoned them.

"Ten at once?" Hiruzen raised an eyebrow. "Naruto, you might want to be cautious. The memory feedback from so many clones can be overwhelming. I've seen skilled shinobi struggle with the burden it places on their minds."

Naruto chuckled nervously. "Yeah, I know. Don't worry, I got this."

In his mindscape, Kurama, the mighty Nine-Tails, stirred lazily, lying with his enormous head resting on his paws as he watched Naruto interact with the Hokage.

"Don't worry about the memory feedback, Naruto," Kurama's deep, gravelly voice echoed in Naruto's mind. "With the changes I made to your mindscape, you won't experience that burden."

Naruto's eyes flickered momentarily, but he kept his face neutral, knowing Hiruzen couldn't hear Kurama's voice.

**Inside Naruto's mindscape:**

Naruto entered his mindscape to find Kurama lounging with his usual grumpy expression. The fox was puffing on his signature pipe, the air around him filled with clouds of smoke. He glanced at Naruto with a knowing look.

"I took the liberty of… improving things here," Kurama said smugly. "From the memories I've seen, it seems that in the original timeline, you were an idiot when it came to learning things from your clones."

Naruto's jaw dropped, and he glared at Kurama. "Oi, that's a bit harsh, don't you think?"

Kurama snorted. "Harsh? You used thousands of clones, and somehow still stayed a complete idiot. That's not harsh, Naruto. That's the truth."

Naruto rolled his eyes. "Well, I'm not an idiot now, thanks to my reincarnation… and you, I guess."

Kurama's massive frame shifted as he sat up. "It wasn't entirely your fault. From what I gathered, the feedback from thousands of clones must've been too much for your brain to handle all at once. It caused a bottleneck. So, when I reshaped the mindscape after you regained your memories, I made sure to set up… let's call them 'contingencies.'"

Naruto looked at him, curious. "Contingencies? What kind?"

Kurama smirked, proud of his work. "It's a memory palace of sorts. When a clone disperses, its memories won't just flood your mind like an avalanche. Instead, they'll be sorted into categories. The mindscape is now a vast network, with every corner functioning like a computer terminal. Only the most important memories—those related to an attack or critical events—are given priority."

Naruto raised an eyebrow. "So, no more headaches from using too many clones?"

"Exactly," Kurama huffed, blowing out another puff of smoke. "You won't be forced to absorb everything at once. The memories will be processed in a way that won't overwhelm you. Think of it as downloading files one at a time, instead of getting them all dumped on you."

Naruto grinned. "Kurama, that's brilliant!"

Kurama growled, clearly uncomfortable with the praise. "I'm not here for your approval, brat. I just don't want you screwing things up because your brain can't handle the workload."

Naruto smirked, knowing full well that Kurama secretly enjoyed the praise. "Oh, come on. You know you like hearing it."

Just then, Kushina appeared in the mindscape, her vibrant red hair flowing as she approached. She had been listening to the conversation and smiled warmly.

"Kurama, that's incredible! You really outdid yourself," Kushina said, her voice full of admiration. "You've made it so much easier for Naruto to train. Thank you."

Kurama groaned, his ears twitching in irritation. "Oh, great. First the brat, now you too?"

Kushina chuckled, stepping closer to the giant fox. "I mean it, Kurama. You're not just helping Naruto; you're protecting him. That's something to be proud of."

Naruto snickered at Kurama's visible discomfort, his tails twitching as he tried to hide his growing irritation.

"Enough with the praise already!" Kurama snapped. "You two are acting like I'm some kind of hero. I'm a giant fox with chakra as old as time itself. I don't need your admiration!"

Naruto leaned against the giant paw of the fox, looking up at him with a mischievous grin. "Admit it, Kurama. You love being the center of attention. It's okay, we won't judge."

Kurama let out a low growl, though there was no real malice behind it. "The only attention I want is to be left alone so I can nap in peace. You two are worse than mosquitoes buzzing in my ears."

Kushina smiled, patting Kurama's enormous side. "You're a softie, Kurama. Admit it."

Kurama huffed, turning his head away from them. "Tch, I'm not a softie. I'm just practical. Someone has to keep this idiot from getting himself killed."

Naruto burst out laughing, and even Kushina giggled softly. Kurama tried to maintain his grumpy demeanor, but the slight twitch in his lips betrayed him.

"Alright, alright," Naruto said, holding his hands up in mock surrender. "No more praise. But seriously, thanks, Kurama. You've really made things easier."

Kurama grumbled, sinking back down into his resting position. "Whatever. Just don't screw it up."

Naruto smiled, knowing that beneath all the gruffness, Kurama cared more than he let on. He looked over at his mother, who gave him an encouraging nod.

"With you and Kurama helping me, I'll be stronger than ever," Naruto said confidently.

Kushina beamed. "That's the spirit, sochi. We'll both be here to guide you."

As Naruto prepared to leave the mindscape, he glanced back at Kurama, who was already pretending to sleep.

"Hey, Kurama?" Naruto called out.

"What?" Kurama grumbled without opening his eyes.

Naruto smirked. "You're the best."

Kurama's tail twitched, and though he tried to remain impassive, Naruto could've sworn he heard the faintest of chuckles rumbling from the giant fox
