"I told you I don't need it," Ava refused, still feeling irritated by William's actions. "You don't need to return the favor."
"You were the one teasing me earlier? Why are you acting like you don't need this," William asks with a frown. His eyes searched, trying to guess Ava's thoughts. "Are you angry because I called you Paula? You said nothing."
"No," Ava cut in quickly.
William and Ava looked at each other. Hoping for an answer from each other.
"Never mind, forget it. I don't have any fun planned for tonight," Ava replied again.
"That's too bad. You've dressed up very nicely tonight," William coaxed later.
Ava's lips quirked into a faint smile. "So, you really think so?"
William nodded slowly, making Ava's smile even wider. The girl sighed, deciding to forgive William for his earlier actions.
