William grimaced. He had just scolded Lea for her impulsive behavior, but it seemed he was just as guilty. Where did he go wrong? Wasn't it normal for men to have... blank expressions?
"What do you think, son?" William was curious about the comment from his adorable little boy. If his son's answer made sense, he would rectify the mistake he made unknowingly. He had always thought it was convincing enough to refrain from discussing Paula in front of others. Apparently... not for Lukas.
"Because I remember vividly how Katie used to look at me," Lukas replied with a falsely mature tone. He continued to chew on his chips and added, "Dad knows Katie likes me, right?"
"Ah, I know...," William nodded slowly. "But not everyone acts the same, Lukas."
Lukas's chewing became rougher, with bits of seaweed-flavored potato chip sticking to his small, wet, and soft pink lips. It seemed he didn't agree with his father's words.
