Capítulo 8: Chapter 8
Junior year I started noticing how handsome Ocean was getting, he was always eye catching but this time it was getting out of hand. I would see how girls were always with him on his IG posts, literally swooning over him not even trying to hide it. It would always get to me because I liked him ever-since middle school and him always being around made me so comfortable.
Senior year everything was pretty much the same, more of the study sessions now since this was going to contribute to my entrance into college. I never got the time to like somebody else because he, Ocean would never get out of my mind. My feelings for him never changed I still felt the same despite knowing that we had already went our separate ways in life, probably never meet again.
I applied for scholarships at University of Sydney, Australian National University (ANU) and Oxford University because Oxford is one of the best universities when pursuing a history major. Since my mom could not pay full tuition and l was just hoping with grades as high as mine, I will get at least one approved scholarship. I also did a few extra curricula to help my case.
When all the three universities replied I had gotten half scholarship at University of Sydney, and a place at the Australian National University (ANU) without a scholarship and a full scholarship at Oxford University. God answered my prayers I had hoped to get into Oxford and I did.
Excited to fulfil my dreams I had taken up arts and heritage as this was both mine and Ocean's dream ever since middle school.
At least one of us gets their dream come true.
