Capítulo 7: My love story?

Unable to refuse Aphrodite and leave even if he wanted to because she could disclose the secret of his existence to the other gods whenever she wanted to, Axel could only obediently go with her and get inside the car.

Looking towards the man who was chasing behind them through the side mirror, Axel could only hope that the couple wouldn't end up splitting apart due to him and Aphrodite as the Goddess started driving the car.

"Don't look so tense, darling. We're going to meet the love of your life, not Hades."

Chuckling awkwardly and quickly looking at his surrounding nervously, Axel only sighed after he was sure that Hades didn't appear near them.

Nothing special would happen when it was a human who called the name of a God, but when it was another God or Goddess who did that, there was almost a 100% chance that the named God would appear.

"As I said, I'm just taking over the woman's body. None of my divinity is here with me, so nothing will happen even if I curse Zeus."

"Please don't do that."

Looking more and more nervous after listening to Aphrodite's idea of cursing the Head God of Olympus, Axel began thinking of ways to change the topic as soon as possible.

"What did you mean when you said the love of my life?"

"Ooooh, finally interested in her?"

Rolling his eyes inwardly, Axel who didn't trust he only wanted to keep her from doing anything stupid and get him caught.

"Forget about those five old women, Axel. As a young man, you need to find a young woman to love. And I have the perfect one for you."

Matchmaking by Aphrodite? Hell no!

Even though Aphrodite sounded as if she was looking after Axel by saving him from five old women, no one would actually trust her.

Not just her. No one who knew how Gods were wouldn't trust any of their words.

After all, all that the Gods thought about was for themselves and if not about what would amuse them.

And regardless of what reason of the above two it was that Aphrodite was near him, Axel knew that neither of them were good for him.

"She's 26, the perfect age for someone of your age. And you definitely have nothing to complain about in the looks department because she is that beautiful."

"More beautiful than you?"

Interrupting Aphrodite to extend the conversation as much as possible, Axel made the Goddess chuckle and say, "Of course not. But since you can't obtain me, so it's better to settle for her."

Like I would even want you.

Speaking his true feelings on the inside without holding back because he was now sure that Aphrodite had brought none of her powers down here with her, Axel honestly felt curious to find out who the woman was.

Though all the love stories Aphrodite tried to form ended in disasters, the women however were always very beautiful and near the Realm of Goddesses in terms of appearance.

This was after all one of the major reasons why the men she selected fell in love regardless of how much they tried to not.

"She has... "

Stopping suddenly, Aphrodite smiled and said, "I'm not going to tell you anything else about her. Wouldn't it be more fun to find out about her on your own? She's staying in room 3012. Yours is 3011."

Handing Axel a key card which most likely opened the door to his room, Aphrodite remained completely silent throughout the rest of the ride.

It was only later that Axel found out the Goddess left the woman's body after she gave him the card and that the woman herself was doing as she was hypnotized to do.

Therefore, he didn't try and do anything which might cause her to wake up and hot off the car when it stopped in front of the hotel and watched it drive away.

Axel despite having visited Earth and a few major cities quite a few times until now, he hadn't travelled all across the globe and definitely not to remote locations like Philae.

Thus, when he saw such a luxurious looking hotel in a place which he expected to be close to a backward area, Axel realized that he didn't know much about Earth and all the places on it.

"Love story, huh?"

Looking towards the key card in his hand and scoffing, Axel who was confident in not straying from his path and only loving five women in his life began walking inside the hotel.

Even though he was a little interested in finding out who the beautiful woman that Aphrodite had found for him was, the main reason he entered the hotel, however, was to rest a little inside the five-star hotel and do some research while his target woke up.
