The Sun was rising illuminating the lake in the Eastern side of the City of Prodigies, Li Yun woke up feeling a bit groggy, he was tired of all the happening yesterday but a good night if sleep managed to sweep most of his gloomy feeling, he was a positive young man.
"I should ready soon, if i don't want to be late for class." He muttered before getting out of bed and waved his hand donning himself of his Seven Star Robe, being cultivator was quite practical since one didn't need to waste time preparing in the morning, he then walked out of his room and went in the living.
There, Liu Guan had already bought his breakfast and put it on the table, there were spiritual Youtiao, spiritual soy milk and boiled eggs of magical chicken that we sold in the most luxurious restaurant in the shoping area, they were the best of the best and few student could afford them.
He finished his breakfast quickly enough and walked out of the courtyard where he thankfully didn't bump into his neighbor, they could meet in classes but that was beyond his control, his planning was made in advance and it was already completed for the whole school year, people like him didn't have the choice in what he wanted to skip and when he wanted to slack off, such was the hard life of the elites…
Liu Guan was waiting for him before the car, he was keeping a subtle distance not being too invasive which was to the young master's liking.
"Good morning young master." He just gave a greeting before opening the door letting Li Yun board inside.
The car then sped in the distance to the direction of the center of the city, his first class was held here.
.....
Many freshmen were already crowded in the waiting place in front of a large building, they were told to wait here until the teacher arrived. No one brought a chair or anything like that but just stood there composedly, they were here to learn the way of the Dao not for vacation.
Li Yun was deposited just before the gate leading inside, he then made the rest of the road on feet. When he arrived before the building, many people looked at him but none of them whispered or talked bad about him.
"Brother Li, come here." It was then that Wen Bao called up to him from not far away, he was quite relieved to see someone familiar, and headed to his side. The two of them began to talk to pass time until the teacher come over.
"Well Wen Bao, you are pretty early today, I didn't expect that from you."
He joked for a bit, making Wen Bao smile as he responded:
"What do you take me for, I am always early, the last time was just an accident."
They were talking about the time he went to a shortcut to go to the SouthPort city. Li Yun then said:
"Who know maybe you didn't wake up on time and came lat in your first day."
Wen Bao didn't laugh hearing that, he showed a strange expression instead, and said after falling in silence:
"Li Yun, don't tell me you slept during all night, even though the test was tiring there is no need to go that far right?"
Li Yun felt shocked inside hearing him say that, he looked at his friend and asked:
"What else am I supposed to do at night, could it be…?" He looked at Wen Bao incredulously holding his mouth consternation, could this guy be far more incredible than he thought he was. He then said a bit solemnly:
"Sorry brother Wen, but I am not even yet initiated to the night life. Let alone being an expert in playing at night like you." He had eyes but didn't see Mount Tai, such was the feeling in his heart.
Wen Bao looked at him in exasperation, was he that kind of person? He does walk around the street in the night from time to time when he was at home, but He didn't go to forbidden place like a dancing hall or a tavern, he still had a pure heart. He then said:
"Joking aside Li Yun, don't you think there is something more important to do in the night time...like cultivating?" His words were stretched at the end indicating his true aim.
It dawned on Li Yun in the end, so that's what he mean, what a good scarce! He then asked:
"But cultivation doesn't take that much time right? How many hour a day does one do it anyway?"
"The average is about eight hours a day, when you reach a very high cultivation level, it is not uncommon for a session to last several months or years, but don't you know all of that already?" Wen Bao answered his question nonetheless, that was common sense right?
Li Yun took some time to digest the information, he did know about these concepts but he didn't have the occasion to experience them so he letforgot then slip from his mind. His longest time cultivating time was six hours and it was when he went to the Yellow leaf city; he usually did… two hours of cultivation a day thinking that it was enough. But he was wrong. It is not the same as working out some sweat in the gym or doing some yoga...
As he contemplated his lack of critical knowledge and began to think about bringing Xiao Ling'er here with him later on, he suddenly turned around like the other students looking at a person walking toward them, it was their Phyloso… cough Dao guiding instructor, it was the lovely teacher Luo Hua.
.....
Teacher Luo Hua was feeling quite spirited today, after the success in the test of the new freshmen she got the respect of many colleagues of hers as well as the praises from the direction, from the look of it becoming the youngest elder in the instructing department didn't look like a pipe dream anymore.
She flied to the Dao preaching building in the central area to give her first lecture to the new freshmen this morning, she had already readied everything for it to go without any hitches; anyone who blocked her path to promotion would have a taste of her wrath!
As she neared the Dao preaching building, she saw that the students were already waiting here obediently, no one was missing making her smile.
She then descended on the place before walking up to them.
"Greeting students, look like everyone is here so let's cut the chase and go in the building, please follow me."
She didn't talk nonsense and led them inside directly. The interior of the building was spacious around several hundred square meters wide it had a very high ceiling suspended by huge pillars made of green jades with mysterious inscriptions they were full of majesty, the atmosphere was solemn and silence reigned inside keeping the air of the ancient time, the students following Teacher Luo Hua kept their mouths shut as they walked for fear of disturbing the quietness.
They soon reached an unasuming grey stone altar where there was actually nothing on it, teacher Luo Hua walked up here and looked at the students standing before it from above, she then said breaking the stillness her voice echoing:
"This is the Dao preaching altar, it is said in the legend that the first Immortal learned his first understanding of the Dao when he was guided here by a Divine Spirit, but that's unconfirmed since it was a long time ago. But, this altar was in the Academy since it's inception and helped many heroes to find the way forward in front of the vastness of the Great Way."
Everyone showed amazement hearing her words, seeing their reaction, she let out a small cough before continuing:
" Our first lesson will be held here to give everyone a glimpse of the Dao. You don't need to do anything and just stand still."
She then waved her hand drawing a rune on the air, and before long the altar began to shine showing many mysterious symbols, they spread in a spherical shape covering the whole crowd.
Bell's sounds then began to ring, as a solemn voice echoed:
"...One become two, two become three and three become everything… such is the way of the Heaven, from nothing come everything, the nature, the earth the sea the sky all of them come from the Dao and will go back to the Dao.."
The voice continued to preach the profound truth, the way of the world, the Great Dao. Li Yun and the other were immersed in the voice unable to extricate themselves they were entering the Dao as the Dao entered. Well in short, they were getting some catch up course on the Dao Dejing…
The immersion lasted for several hours or so, in the meantime many things were happening in other places.
...….
In the northern area of the city, Li Ya was heading out somewhere early in the morning, she was a last year student and didn't have that many classes to attend, but she woke early and went out discretely for a good reason, as she looked around warily if anyone was nearby she sighed in relief when she confirmed that there was no one in the vicinity of her residence.
"They are really persistent, but look like they won't be there so early…"
She couldn't finish her words as someone walked up to her and said startling her greatly:
"What is the matter Li Ya?"
She turned around in fright, but calmed down seeing who it was:
"You surprised me Sun Jia, I am just heading out early to get some exercises…"
Sun Jia looked uncertain hearing her words but she didn't say anything about it, they became pretty close since she went in the Li clan, but she didn't know her enough yet. What she could say was that this young lady that is renowned tofor be the prettiest fairy in the continent wasn't a simple jade be… vase like rumored, her personality was very distinct just from what she knew…
"Do you want to come with me?" Such a question was thrown at her which she decided to accept when several silhouettes appeared in the distance, Li Ya's eexpression changed when she saw them, she didn't wait for Sun Jia to answer before taking her hand and speeding away in the distance, even when they were far in the sky, they still hear some voices from bellow.
"A bunch of toads that want to eat a swan's meat, did you all look at your face before coming here?!"
"You are courting death!"
"Junior You dare!"
"Surnamed Zhou, you are going too far…"
"....."
What rowdy people, they should care more about the neighborhood…
.....
The two young women managed to get away safely, they reached the central area where many teachers and instructors were passing by so no one would come cause them any trouble.
As they walked on the road, they found a tea house opening so early, they decided to spend some time here until classes begun. The inside was quite colourful despite the old fashioned look outside, but there wouldn't be that many people inside this early in the morning. There was only a young man with yellow disheveled hair and blue toned skin that was scribbling incessantly on a parchment looking almost worrying, but such a sight wasn't rare in the Academy, as the saying goes there were only a thin layer between genius and madness so they walked to the other side to not disturb him.
The other customer was actually a beautiful young lady about eighteen with white long hair and an simple white robe with some intricate black pattern on the edges and the sleeves, she seemed to like the color white very much, she was drinking a pot of tea while reading a book that looked very old from the cover holding her chin with one hand, a beautiful picture…
Li Ya and Sun Jia sat down not far from her, the later showing a serious glint flickering in her eyes, this young lady was not simple her instincts indicated that…
They then asked for a pot of spirit tea from an attendant nearby and some pastries, the attendant bowed in respect not saying anything, it was the policy of this shop, don't talk too much and only approach the customer when they ask for it. What eccentric owner would do that….
The two then began to talk about the event earlier while waiting.
"Can't you just refuse them flatly so they would give up?" Sun Jia asked her.
Li Ya showed a bitter smile as she answered:
"You think I didn't try? But they are far more stubborn that you may think, they always interpret my words in a strange way and began to fight among themselves before coming again…" she was feeling quite tired right now.
She then talked about how she asked for advice from the other at homehome, if she couldn't just use brute strength to get rid of them all! But, they answered unanimously that, they would only be chased away for a while before they come back in greater numbers, with some of them having some weird fetish.
Sun Jia nodded hearing that she was accustomed to see that kind of situation in her job and she could say without hesitation that using violence wasn't a solution.
As they talked a bit more about it but couldn't find any solution, the young lady seated beside them suddenly stood up and walked up to them attracting their attention, she then said:
"Greeting Senior Sisters, I am sorry for listening to your discussion it's impolite, but from what I heard you seems to have some troubles, then let this junior sister be of assistance." Apologizing after making a mistake, that is the most proper action.
The attendant then passed by placing their command on the table, he then excused himself without attracting anyone's attention, such a skillful man! His origin are not simple…
Really sorry everyone but there won't be update for a while. Thanks for reading up until now.
