Capítulo 19: Wifey...check on me too!
Cheng Yu felt so angry that her face started itching once more, "Lin Ye! What are you doing here?"
Lin Ye became innocent all of a sudden,"I have come to visit with the director, Cheng Yu how are you feeling?"
Lin Ye even went over and tried to hold her hand in a comforting manner, "What happened?"
Cheng Yu felt anger bubbling up inside of her, "What happened? Don't you know that more tha..."
She wanted to finish but Zheng Ding entered. His enlarged belly danced along as he walked. He went over to Cheng Yu's side and asked in anger, "What were you doing that you got yourself in such state? How am I supposed to explain to your mother?"
Zheng Ding and Cheng Yu's mother were siblings. She was currently staying abroad and had entrusted Cheng Yu under Zheng Ding's care.
Her sister was feisty. If ever she saw her daughter like this then she would quarrel until saliva dried in her mouth!
Zheng Ding looked at the bandages and felt some headache coming.
Cheng Yu felt wronged, "Uncle, she was the..."
She wanted to say that it was Lin Ye who had made her end up in this state but sensing what she wanted to say, Lin Ye cut her short, "Doctor Cheng...you should not talk so much, your wounds may re-open"
Cheng Yu felt so angry that she almost spewed blood!
She still insisted on talking, "Uncle, she was the one who..."
Zheng Ding was the one who interrupted her this time, "Did what? Let me tell you right now, you are not allowed to go out without my permission anymore..."
Cheng Yu shouted, "Uncle!"
Zheng Ding became furious, "What are you calling me for? Just going out once and you end up like this, what if something worse happened to you?"
Lin Ye echoed on the side, "That is right Cheng Yu. The person who did this to you has not been found, you should really stay at home like your uncle says..."
Cheng Yu felt like killing Lin Ye at this point. She looked at her with so much hatred that her wounds began opening up because the muscles were bulging too much.
Zheng Ding readily agreed with Lin Ye, "Xiao Ye is right. Just focus on getting better first. She even offered to look at your wounds and treat them. With her help, your face would return to the same one in no time."
Cheng Yu felt like dying. What help? Lin Ye was the one who made her end up in this state in the first place. She looked up and saw Lin Ye smiling behind her uncle.
Her smile was eerie and her eyes cold. Cheng Yu shuddered.
Those eyes...
Lin Ye went close and took her hands into hers. Cheng Yu felt as if she was hypnotized because no matter how hard she tried, she could still not break free from Lin Ye's gaze.
Those eyes...
She shuddered once more.
Lin Ye looked at her, "You already know I was a plastic surgeon before. I will create a treatment plan for you but I have to see your face first to know the extent of your injuries, is that okay?"
Cheng Yu nodded albeit unwillingly.
She did not know what was happening but she was unable to say no to Lin Ye. She was doing what Lin Ye wanted without any refusal!
The nurse came in and took the bandages off of her face. The face that was shown was slightly bloody and woundy like some psoriasis that had yet to heal even after a long time.
Zheng Ding looked at her with some pain, "I will find whoever did this to you and make them pay!"
Cheng Yu wanted to shout, 'the person is sitting next to you' but she somehow couldn't.
She could only swallow a bitter pill and stay still as Lin Ye pretended to check on her.
Zheng Ding had some important business so he left leaving Lin Ye and Cheng Yu all alone.
Lin Ye finally released the hold she had on Cheng Yu, "If you speak a single word to anyone, I will make sure to repair your skin so good that we will not be able to recognize you."
Her threat was simple because of the tone she relayed it with yet Cheng Yu fell as if a thousand stones were falling on her.
Lin Ye wanted to continue but her phone chimed with a message.
She held it up and coughed hard.
The message read, "Wifey...you have not checked up on me today!"
