Lin Mufan heard Lin Ye's voice and hid the papers on the table quickly. He tried his best to mask the previous shocked expression.

Lin Ye also pretended that she did not see anything and went over.

Lin Mufan wanted to walk over to her but Lin Ye stopped him, "Grandfather should just sit, I will come over to you."

Lin Mufan nodded and watched as Lin Ye and Chen Xi went to occupy the seats next to him.

He looked at Chen Xi and then eyed Lin Ye suspiciously, "Xiao Ye, who is this?"

Lin Ye was just sitting down when she heard Lin Mufan ask this question. She hand in the air awkwardly.

She looked towards Chen Xi, her gaze was saying, if you say something to my grandfather now then I will kill you!

Chen Xi pretended to look around which made Lin Ye even more angry. She coughed and turned around to look at his grandfather, "Grandpa, this is..."

She wanted to say, 'my friend' but Chen Xi's voice cut her off at the most crucial point.
