***ADDIE'S POV***

The doors to the palace opened, and the inside looked as natural as the outside did. Nothing was made with the white stone or marble like most of the other nations had been. Here, everything was made with wood that had been fortified with magic and natural cement. It was beautiful, and something told me it was quite strong.

Saffron led me, Nolan, and the accompanying entourage to the welcoming room. This was much like a parlor, but it was directly off the entrance of the royal wing. Even here, there was a royal wing where the family lived separately from the rest of the palace.

The welcoming room was furnished with chairs made of woven bamboo and vines. The table looked like it was a large, flat stone atop tree stumps for the supports. All of it was beautiful and intricately carved for decoration, but nothing could take away from the beauty that nature had crafted here.
