**NOLAN'S POV**

"Addie!?" I was gently tapping Addie's face as I called her name again and again. My speech all but forgotten. "Addie? What is happening, Addie? What is going on?" I was trying my best to wake her up. I knew that there was a magical aspect to what was happening with Addie, but I didn't know what to do about it. "Addie?"

"What's happening to her, Nolan?" Juliana sounded scared as she squeaked out that question. I didn't see her face since I was looking at Addie, but I could imagine what she looked like. Pale faced, eyes opened wide, a tremble to her lip, a posture that told everyone that she wanted to do something about what was happening, but she didn't know how to. I imagine that I wasn't that different from her at the moment. I was afraid that I couldn't stop what was happening to Addie, and that I might somehow lose her.
