Capítulo 105: The New Hunter (6)

As I started eating my breakfast, I noticed that the atmosphere surrounding my father and I was a bit more solemn than usual. Father seemed to be deep in thought. Although there was a bowl of congee on his lap, he did not seem to be eating, simply staring blankly at the bowl below. As I thought that this atmosphere was quite uncomfortable, I took a slice of toast and gently placed it into my father's mouth.

Father was a little surprised by my actions. He completely did not notice my movements until the toast entered his own mouth. He unconsciously gave the toast a light bite. This action was so unlike my father's personality that I subconsciously gave a light chuckle. Father raised his head with a toast still laying in front of his mouth. Seeing my light smile, he could not help but soften his eyes. Father ruffled my hair gently while eating the toast that I had given him. It seemed that my move had lightened his mood, which made me quite satisfied on the inside.
