Capítulo 43: Fear

You open the curtain and see Helena laying on the table. You walk next to her bed and then just stare at her. You realize that you could be the cause that she might not have a baby anymore and that you're sure that Nick won't be able to forgive you if you lost his baby but most of all, Helena won't forgive you either.

You take a deep breath and start with doing a sonar to see where the fetus is. You wipe the gel off and then mark where you should cut. You then proceed with a small incision on the mark that you made. The cut isn't too big and you move quickly. You see the fetus and then gently feel where the umbilical cord is. You know that if you squeeze too hard you can easily break the baby's neck or injuring the baby's brain.
