The third day had just started, and I couldn't even tell if the shivers running through me were from exhaustion, desperation, or maybe something darker. Alexander had torn away any control, every shield I tried to hold onto, leaving me feeling like a rag doll in his hands. He was relentless, totally focused on breaking me in ways I'd never imagined.

I wanted this to end. Desperately. But no matter how many times he took me, whispering that his heir was the only thing he needed, I wouldn't beg for mercy. He'd already taken too much. I wouldn't let him take that.
