Anistasia Frasier was dead. She knew that, yet couldn't remember how, or when. All she knew was that whatever the object in front of her was, it was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen. A glittering orb with seemingly infinite stars contained within sat in an expansive white void.
"Hello Anistasia, I am Astra."
"Hello Astra...where are we."
The orb, Astra, chuckled.
"We are in the beyond, the nothing between worlds. You are from the origin and you are here because I would like if you could help me."
"Origin?"
"The Construction site of the multiverse. Every world ever imagined by Humanity creates a Universe of new lives."
"We create universes with our minds?"
"We reside in the Origin. Humanity's purpose is to construct worlds for the Eternum. Through your creativity, a world is created. Through your love, the universes are consecrated. Through your dreams, universes are refined.
But some of those universes become too divided, to full of strife.
When a universe fractures, an individual with knowledge of it is chosen to preserve the timeline in their image, attaching the world to themselves."
"So, am I one of those chosen?"
"Yes, but you're a bit special. I know this is a lot at once, but I chose you because of your intelligence. I truly wish I could spend more time with you.
In the universe you deemed Boku No Hero, death has been removed by a particularly powerful division in the 'fanbase. I need you to act in their place. I can't say what the job entails or what abilities and tools you'll have, but I plead for your help."
Ani stared at Astra's beautiful expanse for longer than she needed to. She had made her decision, she was just processing everything.
"Can I get a grace period to learn?"
Astra paused for minute.
"I can give you 18 years."
"Then send me off."
(Weird start I know, but it ties into my other novels.)
