Capítulo 97: Wenrysich
------So chapter and stuff, Also I am literally in a cabin in the woods right now. Not home so...Writing this on my phone guys! I'll be doing this for like 5ish days because my realtor for my house is doing a 5 day open house.------
I had made my decision and I was now grouped up with other clear misfits. Kurogiri had found me and brought me along. He gave me a cardboard box full of raw meat. It smelled like a cow and horse meat. I guess they planned to feed me in order to make sure they can recruit me. I didn't mind as long as my stomach was full.
Chewing on one such slab of meat got a blonde girl staring at me. I had closed most of my eyes for the sack of courtesy, but this girl kept staring. Kurogiri addressed the group of us.
"Thank you for joining us for today. Shigaraki will now explain the rest. I will answer questions."
The creep with the hand spoke with arrogance. "Yeah thanks for coming, however before you can stay we have a test for you. If you watched the news you may have seen our previous failed attempt on UA high's USJ incident. Now see those low tier villains we thought would help us all got arrested and were ultimately pointless. So we want to make sure the some of you aren't made from the same trash."
It stayed silent for a second, and I realized that was it. A fellow with grafted burned skin asked a question. "And what is this test? I'd rather not have you pawn me off as a sacrifice."
Kurogiri responded, "You will all be given something you want before the mission as compensation. So if you want to take it and leave go ahead. However you will make a enemy of the league of villains."
A lizard man spoke up beside me. "Will the League plan to save Sir Stain?"
"On successful completion those who join us will eventually help on other missions. One such mission will likely be breaking out associates within prison. In fact a few of our applicants are still in such confines."
"Can I have one of those steaks?" The blonde girl was asking me. I twitched and ripped one in half tossing it to her. She began sucking on it like a hard candy. "Thanks Mr.Puppy."
Hmmm, sweet girl... I turned to Kurogiri, "What does this test entail, I'd prefer not to eat people."
He nodded, "You will be fed, and Nomu will be joining you. You can eat the Nomu on completion of the mission. That will also be a test of sorts for you... Wenrysich?"
I nodded, and Kurogiri continued. "If you wish to eat other things on this mission though that is up to you. We will be watching to see what you chose to eat."
I blinked at the clear mark about eating what would consists of friendlies. Not like it mattered, I would still get dinner.
A well dressed fellow spoke up, "And where might we be doing this test of yours?"
Kurogiri was about to speak, but Shigaraki spoke up before him. "That isn't for you to know until then."
Kurogiri nodded and spoke seconds later. "You may all converse to get to know each other." He began by pointing at each of us and listing our names. "That's Dabi, Wenrysich, Toga, Twice, Spinner, and Mr.Compress. Those that come later will be introduced when the time comes."
The girl Toga smiled at me and waved. "Where are you from? Are you human?"
Dabi looked at me too, "What are you anyway?"
"I'm uhhh, well i was once a human and I lived in Vermont. That's in the States, well actually I lived in Vermont when I was still well... My quirk made my life a tad difficult."
"Then how did you get here?" The man known as Twice asked next.
I blinked and thought about it, "I was on a binge and saw Endeavor on the news. i wanted to eat him, so... I swam here to eat new food I guess." I got a sort of dirty look from the Dabi fellow and confusion from most of the others.
"You swam here? like Across the ocean?"
"Yeah, from the Mexico-America border I had eaten some fish and... well yeah. How about you guys?"
The girl raised her hand, "Oh me next! My name is Toga and I drink blood. After some conflicts of affection I had to leave home." That explained her sucking on the steak like candy.
Twice spoke again and asked his own question. "Do you drink blood because of your quirk?"
Toga nodded and asked Twice a question. "Why do you and Mr.Compress where masks?"
This exchange of questions went back and forth for a while. Spinner the lizard man seemed to follow Stain's doctrine. I was against those ideals, but I also didn't really care for heroes. Dabi seemed to have some connection to Endeavor or something and didn't mention much else.
Mr.Compress was a con-man and would've continued his ways if not for being caught up in something a little too big and being charged with killing a politician. Twice had shown off his quirk and I was...
I stared at the human form of myself. I had collapsed and tears poured down my face. The clone Twice made didn't last long and didn't seem stable. The clone was naked and fairly rough looking. However just seeing myself brought tears to both of us. It seemed I had learned something I hadn't known about my quirk.
The rest here were villains, but they were still human and i could feel their pity. For the rest of the meeting I stayed silent and covering my face.
