Capítulo 69: UA Festival pt8: Punching Eijiro
Me and Eijiro were ready for our match. I had left Erin back at the stands where she seemed to talk our classmates ears off about how the fight was gonna go. To be honest I don't think everyone was as excited as me and I guess Erin. Maybe Kacchan was he had been studying all the fights pretty closely and his fights seemed pretty active. Though that might be an understatement....
"So I'll be honest, I don't think i can beat you Destiny."
I looked up at Eijiro, and shrugged, "Well to be honest I planned on using you to get stronger. So i hope you can use this as an opportunity as well."
"HAHA! Yes! I will certainly do my best to get stronger from this too."
Midnight announced the start of the fight and it was obvious what Eijiro's strategy was. Except i wasn't gonna be fighting long range like he expect me to. He threw a punch and I met it with my own.
"That smarts, but I've been hit harder." I smiled, at Eijiro's smack talk. "Well I try to be honorable when I can."
Eijiro was using his quirk constantly all across his body. It was a pretty good strategy to soak up damage, but it wasn't good for a long fight. Each punch he threw I met with one of my own blocking each of his attacks. I was really trying to get a hold of timing the absorption of the kinetic energy of his punches. Honestly Eijiro was the perfect guy to practice this on.
Thinking about it Eijiro had the opposite problem of Deku. Deku attacked with a single part of his body which caused his quirk to backlash on him. Eijiro was basically doing the opposite hardening everything which actually made it weaker across his entire body.
I started throwing sporadic punches to his stomach and shoulders. He was unable to block these punches and it would make him tire out a little faster each time I did it. "You know I think Deku can learn a thing from you with how you spread your quirk across your entire body."
"Ergh! I'm not sure that is how that works." I punched Eijiro in the nose hear a crack. I shook my hand from the injury and Eijiro wiped blood from his now broken nose. When I punched him that time his hardened skin actually cut my hand. Lucky for Eijiro know of my blood got on him.
I guess I should be a little more direct with my advice, "You should try to harden a single part of your body as quickly as possible as I make contact. If your face was any harder I think I would've broke a finger."
"Hmmm, I should probably do that, but I can't really practice that right now. Can I?"
Ooooh Sarcasm, I didn't think he was capable of that. "Why not, that's what I'm doing right now. On the point of contact I am trying to absorb kinetic energy from your attacks. Still haven't figure out how to release it though, I figure its the same concept but just in reverse." Eijiro was throwing punches during my response. With a timely proof of point...
He made contact, but instead of the normal reaction. It was just like he hadn't hit me at all. "Huh, you really are using this as an opportunity. I'll take your advice then Des. Don't blame me if it fails though."
I shrugged as I dodge him. Eijiro had hardened his arms only, making them pretty jagged. I had to wonder why that happened when he used his quirk, but using me as an example. Details like that seem par for the course with Quirks. I threw a punch to Eijiro's shoulder and he hardened it just in time. It felt like I had punched a ton of nails, I shook my hand again. This time from the pain, "That's what I mean, That fucking hurt."
"Thanks, Hergh! Doesn't mean I can do it every-time though." He threw an uppercut and nearly got me. I had to drop backwards just to dodge it. If there was one thing I had to say about Eijiro it was he knew how to brawl at least. I contacted another punch to his stomach, this time he didn't harden fast enough and he coughed from the strike.
"Man I really wish I could dodge those!" I smiled, throwing three more jabs that he had to block. Throwing punches back and forth like this was pretty fun actually. It would suck when I had to go back to wave attacks when I would fight Shoto.
Eijiro was looking more and more worn out. With only a few more successful kinetic...blocks? Yeah Kinetic blocks, Eijiro was getting to tired to keep up with my pace. He got hit more and more having to block several more attacks. He kept with the hardening though and made me hurt my hand on him a few more times. It was no wonder he was 1-A while that guy with the steel quirk was in the B class. There was a statistical limit to the strength of steel, while the much more broad quirk of hardening Eijiro had a more logistical limit.
I threw one last punch at Eijiro, an uppercut straight into his jaw. Sending him backwards and out of bounds. "Kirishima is out of bounds, the winner is Amishido!" Hearing Midnight say just my last name made me shutter slightly. Except I was still happy I won.
Eijiro laid flat on the ground, "Man I can't believe that entire time I hadn't realized you were pushing me backwards." I held a hand out to him picking him off the ground. "Well I didn't want to take the time to knock you out. That would've been way too long."
Tetsutetsu yelled from the stands, "SHUT YOUR BIG MOUTH!" How did he hear me, did he know I was about to diss him. Hmmmm, sometimes it like everyone has super senses. I shrugged, "Well it was a good match Eijiro."
"You too, though I kind of wish I stayed in a little longer. Even if I did some how beat you I would need to fight Todoroki and after his fight with Midoriya. Wooo, I don't think it would be that entertaining."
Hopefully my fight with Shoto would be entertaining. Though I doubted it for some reason. Simply because of what I head about his fight with Deku.
-----I actually really liked how this chapter went. I don't really show the MC bonding with his classmates that much, but I feel like this is a good showcase of that. A little slice of it, mainly with the male characters... 7 - 7 if you know what I mean. EDIT:There's an author notes now-------

Okay so I assume you are going by the entire fic not just this chapter, but I'll use this chapter as an example. I write down a lot of my own notes so i can't provide that information. However I can explain my library of useless facts.For in universe those notes I take from mostly the MHA stuff(like the anime, manga and wiki.) For the more outside information like kinetic absorption Its from my studying a lot of science and trivia. I take note of something and just sort of expand on it going down a rabbit hole. Like in the case of the kinetic energy, I got it from information from Newton's laws and Energy logistics. To sort of break down the process, here's an example: (Topic) Energy-> Types of energy -> How certain energy is applied, discovered, or acted -> How we use it every day life, How its can't be used -> figure it out from there. Do you get it? Make sure you do be-careful what you look for, I tend to lean towards reading research papers and similar such.
