Capítulo 47: Strange Morality***
—-This is the last msg i'll leave here about the wonky updating of chapters. I will handle them!—
I woke up with Erin yapping away at recovery girl. I chose to pretend to sleep longer as I could wait it out. Sure enough, Recovery girl pushed Erin out the door and turned her attention to me. "Just you, Shizen, and Midoriya are here now."
I opened my eyes, she had experience with kids pretending to be asleep I guess. "What happened?"
Izuku explained, "The class was more or less okay, but due to what happened Ms. Midnight decided to put some of the class to sleep. You were the last to wake up and the only other person injured."
I raised my eyebrows and recovery girl corrected Izuku. "From what I could tell you expended the energy that is natural to your body. You gave yourself frostbite and severe hypothermia. Since you essentially flash froze your body however… You have no lasting damage. Though I don't think you would've had any lasting damage anyway."
I pointed at Izuku though, "What about you?"
He raised his arm in a cast. I nodded, as a skinny man walked into the nurses office. I recognized him as the man who introduced himself as Toshinori. "Ah, Tota Shizen!" He paused debating about saying something.
Izuku was about to jump up to say something, but Recovery Girl interrupted. "You two met? Tota, you should pay attention to Toshinori here. He is a Hero Battle and Recovery Analysis Teacher."
Toshinori nodded and I had to pause for a second. It was like they were hiding something. It felt weird, so I pointed at Izuku. "How does Izuku know him?"
Toshinori laughed, "Midoriya's quirk is a special one. He needs some extra lessons from time to time to improve his control over his quirk. In fact Shizen would you be willing to help train Midoriya's quirk sometime? Other than All Might and Ectoplasm we don't have any heroes on hand that can handle Midoriya's quirk."
I think my face said it all, as Izuku jumped in. "You don't have to if you don't want to Tota. After al it means sticking around after class and…"
I waved, "I get it, and sorry I'm not willing. From what I've seen Izuku focuses all his power into a single point. I could defend against it, but that means he could hurt both of us in the process."
Toshinori nodded, "Fair Enough, You wouldn't have been fighting each other or anything like that. However it doesn't matter, if you don't want to you don't have to."
I nodded, it was still like something was being hidden here. However I wasn't gonna pry and the explanation that Izuku needed extra classes made sense. Though Toshinori himself being a Hero Battle and Recovery Analysis teacher made little sense to me. Wasn't that also All Might's and Thirteen's teaching roles?
I shrugged and left the nurses office, "Have a good day."
Recovery Girl nodded and responded, "You too! Tota!"

Izuku let out a sigh of relief. "I was scared there when you walked in All Might."
Toshinori put a finger to his mouth and hushed Izuku. "Shh, Tota Shizen may have left, but his senses are stronger than the ordinary."
Recovery girl let out a sigh, "Your secrets are bound to get out eventually. If you can figure out if Tota really is someone to be trusted. It could be good to tel him the truth so Izuku can get a proper training partner. Though he isn't alone in that regard, Katsuki Bakugo and Shoto Todoroki may also provide similarities in that aspect."
Izuku rubbed his neck, "I don't know if that is a good idea. I trust Kacchan, I have known him my whole life. I can even somewhat understand Shoto. However Tota just seems to… I've been bullied by other kids, I've only ever felt small in Tota's eyes. Especially when it relates to me using my quirk."
The two teachers shared a look of acknowledgement. Recovery girl decided to share a little, "Izuku, he has his own secrets. Ones that you will have to ask him or look up to know. However, what I will say is that it is related to his quirk and changes to it."
Toshinori added,"Honestly I am a little surprised you haven't tried to ask some of your fellow classmates about their quirks."
Izuku paused, "You said look it up? Was it in the news? If it was, I think I know the report you are talking about."
Recovery girl nodded, "The hero Mirko took Tota in after that and has been sending notes about Tota's personality. He experienced something awful…" Recovery girl trailed off a little before continuing. "Since some quirks can affect the personality of a person. Cases like Tota's are watched with some scrutiny. We suspect he has deviated a little from his past self, but nothing concerning. If you ask me though… Tota is in a better situation with his emotions than your friend Katsuki."
With that the conversation changed.
–—Erin's Pov–—
Sitting in the principal's office felt weird. However, telling that I had a good guess about what this was about I didn't mind. Midnight strutted into the room with Principal Nezu in tow. "Hello Principal Nezu! Cute as always! I j-"
The principal raised his hand, interrupting me. "None of that, buttering me up won't do you any good Ms. Conners."
"Understood sir…" I stayed quiet and he nodded. I was still a bit giggly after today's events though. Villains showing up at the USJ was surprising. They must have had a class schedule. Wait, they don't suspect I sold the class schedule to anyone do they?
Nezu stood on the desk. "Let's begin, Let's see, number one. We don't suspect you for any of the events that have been happening recently. Telling that you are a student usually being monitored by someone. We don't suspect you of anything related to that. Second, I do want to commend you on sticking close to Tota Shizen. He was told something a little different from the truth. However he has been diligent in keeping up with you…"
Midnight spoke up this time, "Which leads us to your actions at the USJ young lady."
I blurted out, "It is about the villains right? I did pretty good getting information out of them didn-"
Midnight slammed her palm on the desk while shouting. "Ms.Conners!" She was frowning and shook her head.
Principal Nezu let out a small sigh, "I am glad you did your best Erin. However, the help you gave was… Was not appropriate."
I fornwed back, "B-But I didn't go against any of the guidelines. I used non-lethal weapons, I didn't even kill any of them. At no poin-"
I was interrupted again by Midnight, "It was torture! Not only was it cruel and inhumane, but it goes against the very essence of a hero."
I couldn't help puckering my lips a little. I had to admit I was sour at her words. Midnight hardly seemed to know what true heroism was. I pushed the chair back as I defended myself. "I was quick, efficient and learned valuable information! Not only that, several dark heroes like Mr.Aizawa have used less than savory techniques to get information out of someone."
Principal Nezu nodded, "Please stop before this continues any further. Midnight, I know you disagree with her methods, but you shouldn't use words like that." The Principal's tone got a little more serious as he turned to me. "Ms. Conners, you should also know not to argue with your teachers. Especially ones that are in-charge of your actions."
He continued though, softening his tone. "The problem with your actions Erin. Is the time period. You are still barely becoming a hero. Simply put you will learn and will have tests that relate to such topics around your third year. Your methods were also… Cruel. Such as the removal of a certain villain's nails."
I felt myself blush, "Oh! I was rather proud of that. She had reinforced nails that she used as claws. Super scary! Though her nails weren't strong enough to break steel. Scratch it yeah sure, but with a little leverage her nails easily broke. I just had to use the waterslide's steel beams that we-"
Midnight silenced me again, "So you found it appropriate to remove all her nails even after she begged? Even after she told you everything she knew?"
Principal tilted his head, "You still have the woman's nails too don't you?"
I sputtered my lips, "She was a villain! I broke them off cleanly, they are sturdy, and well… I thought maybe I could sew them into gloves to use as my own set of claws. Though they are a little small, maybe I can't. I also don't know how to sew, so I'd have to consult Hatsume."
The principal shook his head. "You may keep the nails, but I want you to promise to not do something like this again. You also shouldn't use them in a support device. Generally it is frowned on to use… Ah, trophies like that."
Midnight clicked her tongue, "To call them trophies."
Principal Nezu shushed her and continued. "Let's move onto some of the other villains you captured."
I blinked, "Why? I thought we wo-"
The principal held up his hand. "Simply put, let's call it corrective action. Using the manifestation of a person's quirk is… Well, unless absolutely necessary, even the government avoids using those methods Erin. So i want to walk through each case."
I sighed, this was gonna take a while wasn't it. I had captured 5 different villains and the lady with the claws was the most minor thing I had done. Even in my own opinion… I wondered if any other students had talks like this.
