06:00 Saturday, in South Korea
A man pulled open the curtains of the bedroom window, so penetrated the glass and stung his smooth white skin. At the same time, a girl also started to squirm, with half of her eyes slowly beginning to open.
Jungho turned around; he smiled with his bunny teeth and walked up to the girl. "Good morning, Nona."
Karin immediately realized where she was, and this wasn't her house. He immediately changed into a sitting position and leaned against the headboard while staring in horror at the man standing next to him. "Where am I?" he asked while intimidating Jungho.
"You are at Mr. Kim's palace, Noona," Jungho replied with a friendly smile.
'Master Kim's Palace? Is this handsome man's house? Gosh, his bunny tooth smile and glowing face are inhuman; he's so handsome...' Karin thought, a little dumbfounded. However, just as she had high expectations for the man standing beside her, another man opened the bedroom door, causing Karin to turn her gaze towards him. Karin felt familiar when she saw the man's back, she closed the door, and Karin immediately gave a curious look to the man beside her, who gave a reassuring smile.
"Are you awake?" asked Seojun, who had just entered while carrying a glass of water.
"Yes, sir," said Jungho while nodding politely; he gave way so that Seojun could stand beside Karin while placing the glass of water on the nightstand beside his bed.
"Then you may go," said Seojun. Jungho then nodded.
"Yes."
Karin looked at Jungho's back which left her. "Brother," Karin called, suddenly making Jungho turn around before he grabbed the doorknob.
"What?" Jungho blinked his eyes in surprise; he didn't expect the girl to call him. The innocent look on Jungho's face made Karin chuckle faintly.
Meanwhile, Seojun, who was there, gave Karin a sharp look. "What's your name? And where are you going? I'm afraid..." Karin said in a low voice."Ah," Jungho muttered while scratching the back of his head that didn't itch; he felt nervous, even glanced at Seojun, who looked at him in horror if he didn't leave here soon. "Don't be afraid, next time we meet again. I'm sorry." Then Jungho nodded politely and said goodbye to the girl without telling her name. He knew what the girl was thinking. He must be afraid of his master; just getting a sharp look makes Jungho's knees go weak. Moreover, the girl saw the incident in the alley that night.
The atmosphere became quiet and awkward when Jungho left. Karin could only look down, and she was afraid to see the look on Seojun's face.
'This girl is that scared of me? My face is handsome; why does he prefer to look down, huh?' Seojun thought.
Meanwhile, Karin was also busy with her thoughts. 'How about this? I melted just from how he smiled, the man who looked kind and friendly earlier. Is this? Isn't this guy the one who shot the gun last night? What if I got shot with that gun for seeing what happened?' Karin's mind couldn't calm down, and her heart was also beating abnormally like that time.
"Drink." Seojun took a deep breath, then handed the drink he had brought to the girl in front of him.
Karin raised her head; she looked at Seojun's face timidly, then turned to stare at the glass of water doubtfully.
"Drink," Seojun said flatly.
Karin still didn't want to take the glass from Seojun's hand; she just shook her head faintly while pursing her lips, looking so cute in Seojun's eyes.
"I said drink!" Karin was even more surprised when she heard this man jerk her off. Seojun never liked to be rejected, and he showed a cold aura when someone made him angry.
"I don't want to..." Karin said quietly.
"Why?" Seojun asked while rolling his eyes. "Argh! It's up to you. I'll leave it here." He put the drink back down on the nightstand, then put his hands in the pockets of his knee-length shorts. Karin didn't answer; she suddenly remembered something that seemed so important. "Where's my shopping bag?!" Karin shouted, who immediately looked at Seojun bravely.
'He thought about his fallen shopping bag? Has he gone mad?' Seojun thought that didn't answer but just gave Karin a flat look.
"I asked, where did my groceries go last night?" he cried again.
"Trash can." Seojun gave an expressionless answer.
"What did you say? Trash can?!"
Seojun just shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly.
"Yeah! You threw away my cooking ingredients for Mother?!" Karin shouted again.
Seojun had to keep his ears away so they wouldn't burst when this girl raised her voice three octaves. "I don't know," Seojun replied with a low sigh.
"How about this?" Karin muttered with a worried expression. "Get out of the way! I have to go home. Because of you! I lost the groceries, and I left Mother alone; she must be starving because there was no dinner." Karin immediately removed the blanket and pushed Seojun's chest to make way for her to leave; she also continued to nag and blame Seojun.
'This girl can quickly dispel her fear of me? Was scared, now angry? He is crazy! Uh, wait! I can't let him escape!' Seojun thought also grumbled; before he saw Karin leave the mansion, Seojun immediately ran and locked Karin's movement by closing the door to her room again using two hands from behind as if to hug Karin.
Karin was surprised to see Seojun's white, smooth, and slightly muscular arms. Her mind was already wandering, afraid that she would face this man more closely when she turned around. "You can't run away," Seojun whispered right next to Karin's ear with his voice quite heavy and a little hoarse.
Karin got goosebumps herself. He couldn't move, but if he didn't get out of here soon, he might feel sorry for Mother. He was afraid that Mother would be wrong because he was alone in his apartment.
"Please, I have to go home soon. Mother hasn't eaten since last night, and she's sick; she can't find food independently. I have to accompany her," Karin said in a gentle voice; she just wanted to get out of here.
When one of Seojun's hands gave Karin the freedom to stare at him, the girl stared at him. And sure enough, Karin immediately glared when she saw Seojun look so close to her.
"I can't believe it," Seojun said coldly.
"Did I lie to you? I told the truth!" Karin snapped while looking at, Seojun annoyed.
"That's not it, and I don't believe in letting you go without my supervision. I was afraid you would report the incident you saw last night to the police station. So I have to make sure that you don't dare to play with a Kim Seojun."
Listening to the explanation of this man named Seojun, Karin immediately swallowed her saliva; she had thought of reporting this man to the police station because she was afraid that her life. But seeing his sharp gaze this close and his terrifying cold aura could make Karin be killed slowly without having to point a gun at him.
'Yes! Why should you be afraid of him, Karin! Are you more afraid of being killed or more afraid that you won't be able to see your Mother again?' Karin thought, struggling; she was still staring intensely at Seojun.
"I won't report it. I promise, I will..." Karin hung up and saw Seojun was waiting. Then he made a hand gesture like locking his lips tightly. "...shut my mouth and forget what you did that night. Really!"
Seojun shook his head vigorously. "I still can't believe it. You can go home, as long as someone on my orders will always be watching you from afar."
Karin snorted in annoyance because her eyes showed honesty; the person in front of her still couldn't believe it. "It's up to you. Who's watching over me? That, friendly handsome guy just now, huh?" Karin said.
Seojun, who knew what this girl meant, was Jungho, then he rolled his eyes lazily. His following words did sound casual, but if he said it while looking at Karin like an eagle hunting its prey, it felt like he would stab it slowly. "No. He's more important around me, and don't you dare you like him!" Seojun said while pushing Karin's head forward slowly using her index finger before pulling one hand still holding the door.
