Alan and the group were taking back Elmon to the castle, on their way they saw the people of the elven kingdom coming back to normal after the ominous mana which affected them was released from the atmosphere after Alan destroyed the source of it. the mana in the air returned back to its pure state, it was stronger than before. 

Although the mother tree hadn't retained back all its vitality it was strong enough to bring the air to life. 

Alan felt a sense of relief which soon was overshadowed by sorrow when his sight fell on a little girl.

while everything seemed to be a happy ending, Alan heard a small elf crying her eyes out over the bodies of her parents.
